This is really frustrating. ### 2/5 — Stuck in Summer *2024-11-27, version 8.1.1* App is in summer mode, it’s almost December. I want to use app for skiing and all it can tell me is which bike trails and bike lifts are open (which is none). I’ve never used it for summer so not sure why it thinks I want to go mountain biking, in the winter. ### 2/5 — Stops recording mid day *2024-01-25, version 8.0* App unexpectedly stops recording vertical , for no obvious reason. It says it’s tracking. I monitor stats on chair for a couple of runs, it’s accurate, so I stop checking it. I hit “stop tracking” at end of day, and it’s only recorded 1/2 of my runs. I had problem yesterday, assumed it stopped automatically during lunch break. Today, no breaks, same run all day, only half the vertical.. ### 3/5 — Miss the speed *2023-01-22, version 7.0.4* Love this app, but why did you take away the max speed information? ### 2/5 — Updated version for 2023 lacks feedback about speed *2023-01-20, version 7.0.4* I’m disappointed by the fact that it no longer gives you feedback about top speed anymore. A few years ago it actually gave an average speed and also a top speed for the day. The average and top speeds were very nice feedback to have, so it was disappointing when that disappeared, but now that there’s no speed feedback at all, it’s impossible to compare runs to track improvement. I wish this would be revised to include speed feedback again. And if by chance I’ve missed how to access this function, I’d like to know how to find it again. ### 3/5 — Not up to date *2022-08-01, version 6.0.5* With many restaurants closing it’s hard to find a place to eat in Copper. The app usually has the wrong information. ### 3/5 — I miss the Sherpa app *2022-03-06, version 6.0.5* I haven’t been back to Copper Mountain since 2017, but one thing I definitely remembered was the Sherpa app. Tracked statistics for you and gave you location based audio tips. So when approaching a fork in the trail it would give you a brief description of the options. Small trivia about the resort and food and beverage options. It was such a different way of skiing and I loved it. So when getting ready for my return to Copper this season I looked into the resorts new app. It is essentially the website in app form, but does include stat tracking and now friend finder which allows you to create a group and see where your people are on the mountain. All ready to go and was so disappointed the audio functions were completely gone. Stats are comparable to the old app but I sure do miss the tips. Hopefully they bring that functionality back in the future. ### 2/5 — Only Winter Activities But It’s July *2021-07-08, version 6.0.2* It would be nice to have seasonal info. It’s July but the app only lists winter activities. ### 2/5 — Season Summary Not Correct *2021-01-25, version 6.0.2* Just installed the new update and the season summary is not correct. Was tracking for 3 days and they are in there and correct but the numbers don’t add up on the summary page. Records my days and I can see what I did that day but can’t go back and see previous days. The stat tracker and winter maps should still be on there as a marketing/planning tool prior to a trip. I would like to show people about how it all works. It would be nice if there was better locations of cams to see people skiing ### 2/5 — Battery Use *2020-02-17, version 4.4.3* It drains my battery so quickly if I let it track my location all the time, and that’s the only time it works. You also can’t use Low Power Mode because that turns off background refresh which allows the app to function even if it tracks your location all the time. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Unreliable *2025-11-16, version 10.0* The app shows that it is tracking when you select that feature but doesn’t actually track unless you have it always turned on not nust while usinf. Does Copper really need to know when I go to the grocery store?! Why cant you make it work with “track while using the app??” ### 1/5 — Bike Park in November? *2024-11-28, version 9.0* It’s 11/28 and the app is still reflecting summer operations. ### 1/5 — Did not track me *2023-12-31, version 8.0* Dispite trying every setting and allowing all location tracking, the app never recorded a single run for me in four days. It gets the lifts right, but which run you took isn’t even close. It can’t can’t distinguish between parallel runs. Far East, tripe treat, it thinks are the same. Also there is a huge lag in where your friends are, often showing someone in east village when they are on the top of the mountain. Sorry, but top of super-b 15 minutes ago, isn’t very helpful. ### 1/5 — Unstable *2021-02-24, version 6.0.2* The first day it worked with adding friends. This app is as useless as the employees at copper. This used to be my go to mountain, but the last 5 years the resort is ran about as well as this app. Good luck. That’s the only thing I’d actually use. Not sure why my location needs to be tracked when I’m not using the app. Despite the fact that Ski Tracks can tell where I am, this app tells me I have a weak internet connection and fails to track or render completely. Spins and spins trying to connect. Never does. Frustrating that they still can’t get this app right. We set up a tracking group and then can see where everyone else is at. Made it much easier to meet up or figure out if someone is above you or below you on the run. Even if you don’t use the tracking feature it’s a great app for checking lift status during the day ### 5/5 — This is a well done app *2024-12-30, version 9.0.1* Good community / group features , with trail & skier tracking , snow report , leaderboards across a lot of metrics. ### 5/5 — Great tracking! *2024-06-20, version 8.1* Love the tracking feature, and the ability to track my family and friends. The second best is tracking wherey ski buddies are on the map. Sometimes I use the map but there are so many maps around it's easier to look on the chair lift bar. It worked poorly on my Note last season, but it’s been nearly perfect on the XS Max. The main functionality is essentially their website in app form. It’s a bit quicker to access snow reports and other items through the app, as it is laid out in a more user friendly way. The stat tracker is what has been far improved. Last season it would track only part of my day, if at all. Even the runs that were tracked, they would be some of the wrong ones.
