Users should be “grandfathered” into an app when they are one of the first users which helped to build the brand. I will not be paying a monthly fee for this when I’ve been using them for years. I printed all my recipes and will be deleting it. Quite a bummer when your recipes are held hostage and you have to pay to keep them stored when that wasn’t the case before. And now all of a sudden they’ve joined all the other money hungry developers and have decided not only to charge but screw over all of us like me who have been using this for so long. I have hundreds of recipes - you’re giving us 40?? I would have probably paid for the lifetime if it was a reasonable amount and you had taken the age of the app into consideration - but 40? You didn’t. Will find a new one the same way I found this. Was a great feature too. Sad. But at the same time - other apps caught on and have been doing this function for quite some time now. One click to add a recipe from a webpage, tags to categorize recipes, ability to rate recipes and to identify recipes you have made, filtering to show only recipes that meet your criteria, switch the view to show ingredients next to the steps, show duplicate recipes, create a meal plan and shopping list snd more! (Some of these features are available only in the paid version, but the paid version is a bargain and worth it!) I split my retired time between 2 homes. This tool helps me take my cookbooks with me. My friend recommended this app to me. I had hundreds of recipes bookmarked. As I saved them to this app I deleted the bookmark. It was great. Until it wasn't, and I was told in order to get my recipes I had to start paying them. I was given a deadline to download them all by but of course that time had passed. Some of these recipes are a decade or more old. So I paid the .99 cents and plan to get all my recipes out and then give them the finger. Yes it's only .99 cents but it's the principle of the matter, I don't get why I couldn't even view my recipes but the moment I paid there they all are. I love how the link to the original is always there so I no longer lose favourite websites and recipe creators. It’s so unfortunate that as they started up, they got so much pushback from creators worried they wouldn’t be credited and thinking this app was “stealing”. Nothing could be further from the truth. It does exactly what you want quickly and easily, and you’re not tied to any platform. This app has become such a natural part of my daily life that it's hard to imagine cooking or grocery shopping without it. Being able to save recipes from anywhere, organize them exactly the way I want, curate recipes that align with a particular dietary lifestyle and have everything in one place has made cooking so much more enjoyable. It has saved me countless hours and helped me rediscover recipes I might otherwise have forgotten. For example, there is a very special Swedish Christmas recipe that I’ve misplaced several times throughout my life and now I’ve got it saved for good because of this app. My mom was the only person, after my grandmother (who died in the 40s, long before I was born), who ever made the effort to learn the recipe and, now that she’s gone too, I can still make that comforting recipe whenever I want. What impresses me most is how thoughtfully designed and dependable the app has been over the years. So many apps start out great but eventually become cluttered, overloaded with unnecessary features, or disappear altogether. Copy Me That has remained focused on doing what it does exceptionally well, and that's something I truly appreciate. I sincerely hope this app is around for a long time. It has brought me far more value than I ever expected from a one-time purchase, and I recommend it whenever I have the chance. ### 5/5 — Best Recipe App Ever! *2026-07-30* This is my favourite app! It is worth the subscription price. A decent cookbook is close to the subscription price. I donated dozens of cookbooks as Copy Me That has allowed me to save hundreds of cookbooks’ worth of recipes. I love that I can share any recipe as well. Take it from me, the ultimate cook’s cook, that you won’t regret buying this app. ### 5/5 — I’ve used this app longer than any other app *2026-07-18, version 4.2.8* I LOVE this app and I’ve had it for years, I think since right after it was first offered. I have it on my phone, my tablet, my iPad, and on my computer. I use it for many different things not just to save recipes. I create my own recipes for my medicinal plants, my teas, natural dye recipes, craft instructions, just all kinds of things. I don’t think I could function without Copy Me That. It's been out 8 years and I'd hazard a guess I've been using it that long. It is without doubt the only app I've bought that has never left my screen. It has tons of features and I probably use only the bare minimum but I'd be heartbroken if I didn't have it I just works so well for all those random recipes come across and invaluable for planning Christmas and special occasions. Thank you for a BRILLIANT app! UPDATED to say it's now 2026 and is STILL the best app I've ever bought.
