## What is Copy Transmit?

Copy Transmit is a clipboard manager for macOS and iOS that transmits clippings (⌘+C, copy-and-paste) across all your devices connected to your iCloud account.

For example, you can copy text on your MacBook, then switch to your iPhone or iPad and paste it anywhere—and it works the other way around too.

Imagine the following scenario: you need to copy a difficult 256-character password from your Mac to your iPhone. If you send it through any app—such as SMS, email, WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, or countless others—you risk being susceptible to a man-in-the-middle attack that could intercept your sensitive information. Who can guarantee that any data outside your iCloud cannot be accessed?

To solve this problem, you can use Copy Transmit, which relies solely on your iCloud account to send text securely between your connected devices.

The sensitive information never leaves your iCloud environment—it remains within Apple’s servers, which already handle your private data through iCloud. No third parties, no man-in-the-middle attacks, no leaks—just a secure environment you already trust.

In the list of your clippings, you can select any item and mark it as Sensitive. This will hide the content behind asterisks, keeping your screen safe from prying eyes when someone is nearby.

You can also mark an item as Persistent if it’s something you frequently copy and paste. Once marked, it will remain in the list for quick and easy access.

The list can hold up to 999 clippings, making your daily tasks much easier.
