One thing I would suggest is to allow you to use more of the categories to filter and maybe do a clear division of the colors. What I mean is, I would especially like to be able to filter based on all of the categories because I’d especially find it useful to filter by style. ### 2/5 — Shame about the lack of crossover between devices *2024-07-23, version 1.7* I use Cora on my iPhone and it works reasonably well but I am really unhappy that the Cora app on my iPad doesn’t appear to allow me to access the same information. The search function leaves some to be desired. But the thing that I wish was included was a section to separate our precuts and bundles. I have so many and I can now see at a glance content and quantity. The only flaw is that it doesn’t sync with my phone. I had hoped that I could have that mobile so when shopping I could use the info but I would have to reload all of it again. Very user friendly. The only thing I dislike is that there is no “login” so if I download the app on my phone and have it on my iPad, I can only view my fabric on the device I input the fabric on. I own at least a thousand yards, and if I lose my phone, upgrade, etc I will have to input it all again. I would pay more, pay a monthly fee even, to be able to login and have it on multiple devices and not lose my data, Other than that I love it! ### 2/5 — Fabric stash disappeared *2022-04-04, version 1.7* I was looking forward to using this and spent a good amount of time adding my entire fabric inventory which is quite large. I updated the app and the entire inventory disappeared except for 7 items. Also needs more colour choices or the ability to edit them. ### 4/5 — It’s nice *2021-04-29, version 1.7* It’s a nice app to organize fabric. I do wish it had better filtering capabilities. The ability to filter by name/designer/collection would be so much more useful than most of the options offered. That way I can sort all my fabric by designer instead of everything being all mixed together. That way if I want to see say all my BackStitch fabric I can filter to see just that. This way as well, as I add new designs from particular designers they will all be together, and not mixed up. The option to press and hold to reorganize on the grid screen would also be nice, if adding new filtering capabilities isn’t an option. That way I can organize them to my liking. I could really care less to organize my fabric by cost or the dates they were acquired/added. ### 2/5 — Big *2021-03-27, version 1.7* De plus en plus de bug. Works well because it is specifically for sewists so need to work out a system. I would like the option of grabbing photos from files, as I often store stuff there rather than camera roll. I haven’t upgraded yet but I like that it’s a one off payment ($11.99 NZD) rather than a subscription!! Hopefully in the future there are options for storing pattern stashes and finished projects linked to patterns/fabric. Then maybe you could subtract the amount of fabric used ie started with 6m but 2m went to this top and 3 metre to those pants and the rest was scrap. ### 2/5 — App that conceals it’s pricing *2020-05-01, version 1.7* Takes too much work to find that it costs nzd$12 to use this app. I don’t like apps that aren’t up front with their pricing. There’s no way to restore purchases on the app so now it’s unusable for me which is a real shame. Also the payment needed for more than a few fabrics wasn’t declared at the outset when I started to use it - some more transparency as to actual cost would have been nice. I paid £6.99 for the upgrade ( the app is almost useless without this) and now it isn’t working the developer hasn’t had the courtesy to reply to messages. ### 1/5 — Hasn't been updated in 5 years *2024-10-27, version 1.7* The devs have put this app on 'set and forget' - they don't answer customer support queries or supply ITsec updates to users even though operating systems have greatly changed since launch 5 years ago. The app provides a data export function but not import, and doesn't offer an in-app restore option - so users have to make sure any data is captured by general cloud backups. Not the best option for simple fabric listing but okay if you accept all the above risks and want to pay people who give nothing by way of support. ### 1/5 — No longer supported no way to download database *2023-04-01, version 1.7* I did find this app helpful several years ago but it is no longer being supported and the export CSV button just throws you out of the program. I had to replace that phone and there doesn’t seem to be a way to move my fabrics to the new phone. This is really disappointing since I paid $10 for the app and spent a lot of time putting in fabrics. I spent hours and hours doing this. Then I upgraded my iPhone, and COMPLETE DISASTER!!!!! I got no support from developers so far (after 6 days since emailing them for help). I’m now contemplating whether it is worth spending another huge chunk of my life logging everything again. I am only using Cora for yarn and crafting books. I made a little cheat sheet so the way I enter data filters for my needs. Here’s how I tweaked it: Location=Brand or Book: Title Weight=#1-6 Type=Sock, DK, WW, Chunky, Book Content=SW Merino, Nylon etc. without percentages Design=Solid, Gradient, Striping Colors=List colors or Hand-Dyed Sort Color=Main Color Length=Enter amount Width=Yarn Weight #1-6 Scrap Amount=None, Small, Large Brand=Dye Lot Designer=Colorway Collection=Collection I sort by A-Z, Type, Location. I take a photo of everything and it’s great! ### 5/5 — Great app *2022-08-31, version 1.7* I have used this app for years and I love it, it’s so handy, user friendly and I can admire my stash even when I’m far away from it! 😊 I would love an option to be able to put on multiple filters, especially to be able to filter but woven/jersey and then one of the other filters. Sometimes I struggle to close the picture of the fabric when I open it up, I have to hit close many times and eventually it does (I am using iOS 15.6 on an iPhone 12pro. I would recommend it to anyone who has a fabric stash. ### 5/5 — Excellent app *2020-02-12, version 1.7* I didn’t want to like this app because I never pay over a couple of bucks for apps. The thing is, it’s actually worth it! My 5 year old daughter and I had fun cataloguing my fabric stash. We are about 1/4 way through the main collection and the little summary page tells me we are at over 80yards. I have a lovely collection of pictures on my screen which is motivating. I used the location function to determine not just location of unused fabric but also to set the location as “finished” - I’d love a way to set that as an actual function rather than my work around to keep motivating me to turn fabric into things! I’m not sure how big the photo files are and whether memory on my iPhone will be an issue. I think it could be great to add a notions/trim section for a full inventory. I use “other” as a label for Linings. That’s what I like about this app- you could do more- but you don’t NEED to. It is so quick to log each fabric. If a fabric is not worth the minute to list, it is probably not worth having in my “keep” pile- which has been a good discipline. I’m enjoying seeing what I own (and had forgotten about) and my daughter enjoyed finding fabric that she liked enough for us to turn it into a dress. Quickest sewing project ever!
