### 5/5 — My Go To App

*2023-09-21*

As a first-year student, I’m finding this podcast extremely helpful to supplement and reinforce my didactic. There are many topics to choose from, which makes learning refreshing. I love that most subjects are in about half an hour range, which is perfect for my commute to and from school. The added bonus of these short podcasts is that they help me recall essential details about a topic without reviewing pages and pages of materials over and over again. This has been especially helpful during surprise quizzes when I know I am responsible for all the information provided, but one can only remember so much. This podcast has been a saving grace at times! I highly recommend it.

### 5/5 — SRNA Review

*2023-09-21*

I’ve been utilizing this app for times that I’m unable to open my laptop and go over APEX. It has been very helpful to hear real life experiences to help the material stick. Thank you for making this possible. I also took part in their free Webex they hosted for students, they had multiple CRNA’s that presented on different aspects of what being a CRNA looks like. I learned a lot from each CRNA and was really grateful I’m for the free opportunity. Thanks again Core anesthesia family.

### 5/5 — Best anesthesia podcast… hands down

I started listening to this podcast at the beginning of CRNA school and it has been a HUGE help! Somehow their episodes always line up perfectly with our lecture material. They break down advanced concepts into simple terms. They also share personal stories that everyone can relate to! Would HIGHLY recommend to everyone in anesthesia

### 5/5 — Helped pass oral boards

*2023-09-15*

*2023-09-15*

I use Core along with whatever APEX content I am covering at the moment. This podcast perfectly explains the pertinent pearls and high points. *2023-09-12*

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Great resource but NEEDS ability to make PLAYLISTS or use with other apps

*2026-02-10, version 1.0.37*

This is an awesome resource to help supplement information being covered in nurse anesthesia school. I’m a 2nd year SRNA and listen to the content but the app creates huge roadblocks to being able to listen to content effectively. trying to listen to premium content through other apps like Spotify or Apple Podcasts doesn’t work (other than giving you a 35 second free clip telling you it’s premium content) and there’s no ability to create playlists inside the core anesthesia app.

The app also doesn’t have any integration with Apple CarPlay so there’s no way to safely navigate the app while driving. Fast forward and skipping through episodes doesn’t work unless you manually swipe your phone.

I paid $80 for an annual plan and it’s crazy that I can’t listen to content easier. I have a 2 hour commute to school and an hour commute to clinical, if I finish an episode I can’t safely scroll through the app to find another one to listen to while driving down the highway. So I end up not listening.

Maybe I’m doing something wrong but having a paid subscription should let you listen to the Premium content easily and anywhere you want to. I tried sending an email asking for help/advice several months ago and never heard back.

### 3/5 — Great content; poorly organized

*2024-09-29, version 1.0.22*

I love the content but find it incredibly frustrating to not be able to simply list the episodes from 1 to the most correct episode. Everything is jumbled up regardless of how I try to filter the lists.

### 3/5 — Recommend but not always the easiest to navigate

*2024-02-05*

Useful to review when I’m out and about, but I think there’s some kinks that could be worked on a bit. I had the premium subscription for a year before realizing the episodes under the Home Screen categories weren’t all the episodes. That’s probably just elder millennial tech problems though. 🙃 If you search for certain topics that say “premium only” in whatever podcast platform you use, they sometimes show up as viewable in the app, a couple times I haven’t been able to find them even though they’re on the podcast, and sometimes even though I pay for the subscription it still says only available to premium members. 🤔 This very well could be user error, but if the app was a bit easier to navigate I’d give it another star. Seldomly the guys will say something that’s not correct, but they have acknowledged that & say to write in so they can correct it. I just never remember because I’m usually listening while driving. Overall I still recommend, the guys are great and the information they cover is a quick recap of the pertinent info for each topic.

### 3/5 — Amazing content ; glitches with playback off Wi-Fi

*2023-04-30*

I have unlimited cell phone data and still am not able to play episodes in the car from the core anesthesia app. On Patreon, there was the option to download the episode to prevent buffering off Wi-Fi. I don’t mind buffering but the episodes will not play at all. I would go back to Patreon usage for long car drives but I already paid the year subscription. Even still, amazing content.

### 5/5 — THE BEST

*2025-10-15, version 1.0.34*

Amazing content, talented teachers

### 5/5 — Must have as a NAR

*2025-08-25*

This is the best supplement to CRNA school. Cole and Tanner do such a great job at explaining complex topics and break them down into digestible bites. I listen to some episodes on repeat and I feel very prepared on exam day. Listening helps me retrieve information later instead of just reading it. Or maybe it’s the combination of the two that make the difference. Anyway, I am so grateful for the crazy amount of time and detail they have put into these episodes. Worth its weight in gold. Thank you both! I’m a fan for life.

### 5/5 — Recommend it to RRNAs and CRNAs!

*2025-01-09, version 1.0.29*

You guys rock!!!! Your courses and content has added valuable knowledge and saved me multiple times

### 5/5 — Lifesaver

*2025-01-08, version 1.0.29*

This podcast/app is a lifesaver on my long drives to and from clinical rotations. It’s nice to be refreshed with concepts while driving and just listening to Cole and Tanner discuss anesthesia.

### 5/5 — Saver of Bacon

*2024-09-05*

Great concise and digestible content for a complete novice to anesthesia. I’ve been a critical care nurse for 10 years, am now very green SRNA. These podcasts line up ridiculously well with the talking points in my lecture and really highlight the “need to know information”. Again fantastic content!

### 5/5 — Core Anesthesia Listener

*2024-08-18, version 1.0.22*

This podcast is extremely informative for on the go!! Best anesthesia podcast for all SRNAs.

## Most praised reviews (4 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — The real MVP

*2024-05-21*

This app/company makes continuing ed a breeze. Thorough yet concise content in a format you can squeeze in when it’s convenient for you AND CRNA owned? Win win. An even bigger plus: the customer service is top notch - a rare thing these days! They worked with me to submit my credits out of their normal submission periods and were so kind. Will forever recommend Core!

### 5/5 — Fantastic adjunct to school materials for studying

*2023-09-22*

I knew when I started CRNA school that Core Anesthesia would be a resource I would utilize. I've heard so many good things about it not only from my teachers, but from social media influencer it's ours and CRNAs I know outside of school. I really appreciate how easy the app is to use, and Cole and Tanner really do touch on subjects at the perfect depth. Not so much that you can't listen to it, but enough to be able to prepare for tests and even boards. My program is frontloaded, and I live a good distance away from school, so you better believe Core Anesthesia is what I listen to on the way there and back. It really makes a difference, and I'm happy to have it as a resource and promote it to other SRNAs!

### 5/5 — Must have

*2023-09-22, version 1.0.13*

Podcasts are an awesome way to go over information on my walk to class.

### 5/5 — Excellent resource

*2023-09-21*

This resource is a must have for all SRNAs/NARs! Listening to the podcast is a great supplement to lecture and reading. I would listen prior to a lecture to familiarize myself with the topics then again before test time. This team knows how to break down content into information that’s easy to understand. Great resource to have throughout school!
