I have tried absolutely everything I can think of on my end to remedy it - on wifi/off wifi/on cell network - bluetooth on/off - reinstall app - reset orb - reset phone - installed in on FIVE other devices (old iphones, ipads, iphone7,XS,15,16) - started a new account - my mother also got one as a gift and it is giving her the EXACT same issue - after two useless interactions with support we now have a fantastic paperweights - the stupid thing is I REALLY want it to work and it was awesome the TWO times I had it working before it locked me out - I know it is an issue on their server side and they refuse to escalate the bug - with the last app update over a year ago I doubt they ever will - such an insane thing I'm such a big fan of all the other Hyperice devices I own - this has been infuriating - avoid at all costs! ### 1/5 — Scam!! You’ll never be able to cancel your subscription!! *2025-02-13, version 3.1.0* DO NOT fall in the “Core trap”!! There is no way that you can possibly cancel the subscription. When they finally respond to your email, they tell you to go to your subscriptions on your Apple account and cancel it, but Core is not in my subscriptions list. They let your subscription renews automatically and don’t respond in the “live chat” and don’t get your call and don’t call you back. This is a scam to get you trapped forever in a subscription that you cannot cancel. BE CAREFUL!!! ### 1/5 — Not connecting *2025-02-05, version 3.1.0* I just got my code and it’s nearly impossible to connect. If someone could reach out to troubleshoot I will give it another shot. ### 4/5 — Search feature? *2025-01-21, version 3.1.0* I LOVE my Core meditation trainer! It has helped me in many ways on my mindfulness journey. I have also purchased the Core by Hyperice device for several people as gifts, I love it that much! My only complaint is the inability to search by key words or topics. Today I want to focus on gratitude, I would love to be able to type “gratitude” in a search box and have all the meditations related to gratitude pop up. Please make an update with a search feature! ### 1/5 — Can’t get my money back and can’t open the app!!! *2025-01-15, version 3.1.0* Complete waste of $200! I bought it at Target and then it said the code was being used by someone else. I sent my receipt to customer service and they gave me a new code. Then I was able to login and use the device once and NEVER again! I open the app and it says I have “poor network connection” despite full connection. I contacted customer service again and they said it was a glitch they were working to fix. I kept checking in for weeks until I was close to the end of the Target return window. They said they would send me a new device which they did. Once the new one came, I was able to use it once. I went on vacation and three weeks later, it’s back to the same glitch!!!!!!!! The intro session seemed great but who cares now that I’ve now wasted $200, time, and frustration on ONE 10 minute mediation!!!! I’m beyond furious!!!!! ### 1/5 — Does not work *2025-01-03, version 3.1.0* Used the app for one day, worked fine, and now will not work and will not connect to “the network”. Makes no sense. Terrible app ### 1/5 — The app isn’t working *2024-12-10, version 3.1.0* The app just keeps saying poor network connection even though I’m on WiFi and I tried using a different WiFi but the same issue ### 1/5 — Trouble with the network *2024-10-25, version 3.1.0* I set up the app and connected to the device just fine, I didn’t have time to use it right then so I was going to try it out right before bed. The app will NOT connect. It constantly says that my network has a poor connection when I am 3 feet from my router. Tried turning off WiFi and going off cellular, same message. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, same message. Now I have this device that is essentially an expensive paperweight. ### 4/5 — Search feature? *2024-04-27* I LOVE my Core meditation trainer! It has helped me in many ways on my mindfulness journey. I bought this for myself as I have been suffering with the effects, physical pain and sky-high blood pressure, that chronic stress can cause. I am also a licensed therapist and am considering getting another Core device for my office. I love using it as a transition activity from home to work. Gives me an opportunity to check in with my various parts (see IFS therapy for more on that)and reassure them that the adult me is present and will manage things. Update to come… ### 1/5 — Premium Subscription *2024-01-10, version 3.1.0* Contacted customer service and still have not received one year premium subscription ### 1/5 — not a great experience so far. *2023-12-19, version 3.1.0* this whole thing has been a nightmare to set up, I understand that things happen but when you pay almost $200 and you have to wait weeks for things to work in the app properly, it is just not something I will want to buy again once my premium subcription is up, if I ever get it that is. I bought it in November and have yet to figure out why I am unable to get core premium after paying for it. No apologies, slow communication, and now slow to help me get what I have paid for. I have worked customer support email so I get how things are, however there is just no real feeling that anyone is trying to help me. I was really excited about meditating and having a guide to help me, but now its just stressing me out more than anything and I feel cheated out of this purchase. ### 2/5 — Love the concept but hardware is flawed *2023-09-30, version 3.1.0* Great idea but 100% of the time I get a “poor signal” message after about 2 minutes so none of my metrics are accurately tracked. It doesn’t appear to write to my apple health either. ### 1/5 — Impossible to sign up *2026-05-16, version 3.1.0* I downloaded the app and it asked for my phone number which I entered. The next step would be to press continue, however, the continue button is grayed out and there’s no way to make it not be grayed out. You’re the only other option is to click on already have a code which brings you to a page that says it sent you a code, however, no code is ever sent. I reached out to customer service about a week ago and have yet to hear back. I even tried logging in on the website and that is just a mass broken links, and pages that are not secured enough for my browser to allow me to go to them. ### 1/5 — App fail for iPhone 17 *2026-03-27, version 3.1.0* Contacted customer support they sent a video of how to enter my phone number. When I told them that my app is not working they suggested I return my device. It was a gift so don’t have the receipt!!! Serious flaw. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Love it but needs some more features *2025-05-09, version 3.1.0* I never meditated, I cannot focus for more then a few minutes at a time but with this it vibrates when you breathe in and out which has helped me stay on track and not start drifting into other thoughts. I do have some ideas for making the app better. Feature request for the core device: currently meditating courses are at a maximum of 30 minutes, I’d like the ability to loop a meditation session for multiple times without it showing how I did. Looking for no prompts in between, it just repeats as soon as it ends. Or the ability to make a “playlist” and add a few to it or the same one multiple times without no prompts or buttons to press in between. I really enjoy the core which honestly I didn’t expect but what it’s lacking is longer sessions. Personally I like the ones that are not a steady vibration, the ones that let me know to breathe in and out are fantastic. Asking for someone to make longer classes would be tedious and might not get a lot of plays but a loop feature or playlist feature could be used in multiple ways by anyone and that’s just a coding job which wouldn’t place a burden on the people creating the content. ### 5/5 — Game Changer *2024-08-25, version 3.1.0* I have been using my Core daily for 2 years. Using Core has absolutely improved my meditation practice. My HRV number has increased significantly. I highly recommend for anyone looking to start a meditation practice or deepen their practice. ### 5/5 — Years of trying *2024-02-07, version 3.1.0* I have spent many years trying lots of different meditations, because I know how good it is and how all the studies show how many areas it can benefit. The only one I found before this was transcendental meditation, but after many years after a mess, I was struggling a lot once I got consistent with the core it has been awesome because I can see every day how I’m doing and what I’m doing and gives me a good history of how focused I am or how out of balance. It was dead out of the box, and despite several charging attempts with different USB cords and three different USB charging options (a USB charging station, using an adapter directly to an outlet, into the USB port on my desktop computer), nothing gave this device even a glimmer of a charge. So, I reached out on this app. Today I received notification that Hyperice is sending me a replacement. I am floored. As I mentioned, I bought this device from a third party and I contacted them for troubleshooting assistance. To have Hyperice replace a unit bought from someone else is incredible support.
