## What is CoreFiles?

CoreFiles turns scanning and filing documents into seconds - not minutes.

TAP. SCAN. DONE.

Most apps leave you on your own after scanning: you have the document, but no destination folder selected yet. CoreFiles flips that workflow.

Choose your destination first - “Accounting”, “Projects”, or “Archive” - then scan. CoreFiles saves automatically to exactly that location. Local storage, iCloud, NAS, SFTP, WebDAV, SharePoint, and more.

The file manager with a thoughtful scan-to-destination workflow.

### 1.1 — 2026-05-04

This update adds OCR for document scans and improves the save workflow:

New: OCR for scans – Document scans are now saved as searchable PDFs. Text recognition runs fully on-device – no scan content is sent to any server.
Favorites are now shown directly in the scan destination picker (in addition to storage locations).
Tapping a favorite opens the target folder immediately, so you can save faster.
Improved scan file naming: when saving multiple files in a short time, filenames are now reliably made unique (e.g. with incremental suffixes) instead of overwriting files.
Default scan filenames now include seconds for better distinction.

### 1.0 — 2026-04-23
