### 1/5 — Frustrating app

*2021-01-25*

I don't write many reviews but I believe it's worth the time to add to what other professionals are saying about the app. Hopefully it'll save someone the frustration of being forced to use it.
I have no complaints with the monitor itself but the app is absolutely frustrating and useless. The old app was great and easy to use without all the added time, connection issues, and extra useless info the user is forced to input. I could generate reports quickly and tailor the report to my client's interest with an easy to read report without the added junk. Like the others reviewing this app, I would love to continue using the device with the old app which was much faster and easier. Ultimately, I'm considering other options for my company in the future due to the frustration and lost time of the new app.

### 1/5 — Terrible don’t waste your time and buy this product

*2021-01-08*

Don’t buy this product like I did dread it from day one five years ago. I’m now on site with client and app doesn’t work I’m trying to update can’t do it know I can’t use the pro monitor
I am a radon specialist and this just cost me money especially when it won’t work. Call support they close at 3PM so now what do I do. I know sell it on eBay...

### 1/5 — Corentium Pro App Update = Significant Downgrade

*2020-12-28*

Buyer beware: The old app was a breeze to use and produced great results for me and my clients. The new app is a nightmare. I will be selling my Company’s multiple Corentium Pros and looking for another radon testing equipment service provider.

On another (and at least as troubling) note: I just completed running 2 identical Corentium Pro monitors right next to each other for 48 hours. Each monitor produce dramatically different test results even though testing occurred in the exact same location and for identical monitoring periods. Yikes.

To those considering purchasing the Corentium Pro...just don’t say I didn’t warn you...

### 1/5 — Very disappointing

*2020-12-21*

I have invested close to $6000 for my business in these monitors and regretfully can not recommend them to another professional due to how poorly designed the app is.
The old app could have professional reports previewed, named, and emailed in under a minute. The new app can take upwards of 5-10 minutes per test. You have to connect to the monitor which then takes longer than old app. Finalize the report. Reconnect to the monitor again. Generate report and add unnecessary information that clutters the report then email to your client and yourself which is labeled as some randomized set of numbers symbols and letters. For those who like to keep records this in particular is very frustrating.
Considering switching monitors and can not recommend this app or the Corentium Pro monitors due to the fact you have to use this app to send reports with the Pro. Completely discontinuing the old app is poor customer service on AirThings and shows a complete disconnect from the professional community

### 1/5 — Old App was better

*2020-12-16*

The latest update has bricked my monitors and I cannot use them until I plug them into my computer and fix them using the also equally useless pc software. Let me use the old app as a backup because now I’m losing money thanks to Airthings incompetence.

I’ll be going back to my tried and true Sarads.

### 1/5 — Trading in our Corentium Pros for RadStar

*2020-12-10, version 2.5.1*

This new app so far is a headache, time waster, and not made for Radon Professionals.

Not pleased.
May have to switch to a different company.

### 1/5 — Too complicated

*2020-12-09, version 2.5.1*

Airthings yanked their older, simple, functional app for in favor of this monstrosity. It’s more difficult and time consuming to set up a test, find out test results and send out a test report. Today, at a home inspection where the testing equipment had been preset, my client wanted to know what the result was. Do they need a mitigation system or not. That’s all they wanted to know. Instead, I find out I need to create an account, register devices, and wade through multiple pages of menus before I can present the test results with my client. Instead, I had to tell my client I needed to bring the equipment back to the office and will be in touch later. I was embarrassed to be using this equipment. When will Airthings remove a functional app from service again? Tests in the future look like they will be more difficult to manage. The Airthings Corentium Pro used to be top notch. In my opinion, that has changed. Going forward, I am putting my Radstar 300’s back into service and will research the Radstar 310s to see if they are a viable option to have reliable and simple test results with Bluetooth capability. Airthings may have forever lost me as a client.

**UPDATE**
A company representative responded to my review stating that an attempt at an App Store icon change resulted in the menu I saw stating the old Pro app was obsolete and prevented me from using the app, directing me to the App Store with the intention for me to load this Corentium Pro app.

I am still of the opinion that this app is overly complicated. It takes more time out of my day to send a report to my client than it used to. Test results are not as easily accessible as they used to be. I now have to wade through multiple pages of data and input information just to get the test results in order to present them to my client at the inspection. I always follow up with a formal report. As of this writing, the older Pro app is functional again. I will be using the older Pro app until as long as I can. The company representative did say a forced switch is in the works, “ If and only if everyone is completely satisfied with this switch and everything works properly on the new system.” Kudos to being honest. I’m sticking with you. It would be nice to have quick access to the test result average.

***SECOND UPDATE***
I continued to use the Pro app. Airthings has, again, removed it. I am not satisfied with this new app. I’m disappointed. This app takes up more time to generate a report and the report is more difficult for clients to read. There does not appear to be an option for an easy to read client report. This is not a product I want to use. I’m considering selling my hardware and moving platforms.

### 1/5 — Was a great device until new app

*2020-12-09*

I cannot even connect to my devices anymore because it said he’s not registered to my company this new app has made it a $1200 paper weight

### 1/5 — MAJOR downgrade SERIOUSLY UPSET.

*2020-12-08*

The new app is terrible. It takes 20 min to do a test now and asks a million unnecessary questions and Slows down our process so much. The online portal is a great concept but again putting the reports together is way more work.
The last BIGGEST problem is someone most likely entered a serial number wrong while “registering” and now we have 3 machines that can’t be registered to our company and are basically bricks now. Several emails into Airthings to figure it out and no response.
At least LET US use the old app even if they want to move towards this new platform. DONT FORCE THE “UPGRADE”

### 1/5 — New app update is poor

*2020-12-07, version 2.5.1*

The new app makes the process of setting and retrieving test results a much longer and more complicated process.

### 1/5 — Severely disappointed

*2020-12-03*

Severely disappointed that Airthings doesn’t even allow you the option to use the old app, you are forced to use this one.

I respect their company, they have a great product. That’s why we initially bought it because of how fast and accurate they were. Exactly why it makes me feel disappointed to even have to write this review.

With the old app, I got the results within 1 minute. With this new app, it takes between 1-5 minutes just to connect to the monitors, and then you have to input a lot of extra information. One monitor didn’t even connect after 15 minutes, and we use up to date devices.

This new app has features I like. But not enough to justify the amount of time it takes, along with the tedious work that’s involved in getting the results.

We are strongly considering switching back to SunRadon Monitors simply because of the fact that they are faster, simpler, and more convenient to use at this point. Airthings, please allow us the capability to use the older version of the app, or set up automation to make this current app more efficient.

### 1/5 — Glitches Galore

*2020-08-21*

This is the second time I had to uninstall the app just to reset it so it works. This is unacceptable in a application used in professional businesses.

In the old app a user was able to end a test whenever they saw fit. This feature has been removed and constantly causes me problems.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Can’t make an account

*2025-07-15*

Buy the device, can’t use it. Customer service said they would call back… no call

### 1/5 — Junk app

*2025-06-21*

Doesn’t connect to device

### 1/5 — Corentium Delirium

*2022-10-07*

Anything that’s going to be used in a trade associated with construction should be drop tested and reconfigured accordingly. I was so glad to see 8 or these for sale at a home depo I went to while I was visiting relatives that I bought all of them for my business. Well that’s proved to be more of a headache after the first day do to poor resistance to the daily rigors of even a active family. And I can’t place it in the basement out of the way because it could get damaged?

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2022-08-26*

Can’t login. I am returning this.

### 1/5 — Discouraging

*2022-04-28*

I can’t get it to run right.- zero stars

### 1/5 — Flaky

*2022-01-22*

App seems flaky. Unable to create an account via app and via web. Just loading after filling details, no error message or any feedback. Been here hours. Frustrating. First time trying to use Corentium pro as a professional.

### 1/5 — App gets more complicated

*2021-12-09*

I absolutely hate this app. Machine works fine but app requires steep learning curve following each upgrade and adds features not needed. And now another overhaul? Obviously the developers never used one in the field. And having no option that avoids cloud is a major hassle in the remote areas I sometimes work in.

### 1/5 — Forced Software

*2021-09-21*

The apps sucks! Don’t buy Corentium Pro.

It’s a total invasion of your privacy. I spent thousands to buy a few of these, then I learned that I can’t download or even view the data without submitting it to Airthings first... they then send me a report back.

Meanwhile, Airthings collects our data. Terms and conditions that you must agree to suggest they can do with the data as they please.... including selling it.

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2021-06-15*

The new app is absolute garbage and has added unneeded complexity and extra steps while being terribly unreliable while on the job. Garbage.

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2021-06-10*

This is absolutely unacceptable to have a required app change for utilizing the electronic monitors. I will not be purchasing any additional monitors from Airthings for my business. This new app is so terrible it has cost me a lot of money and wasted time. The new app has major flaws which has already cost me hundreds of dollars in failed datasets.

## Most praised reviews (7 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great product!

*2022-12-25*

These things works great! Would definitely recommend!

### 5/5 — Recent updates

*2021-12-19*

A lot of people don’t like the app, I would be inclined to disagree. It’s simplicity and ease of creating reports saves us so much time in report writing process. We have 3 monitors that all sync with the app and no issues with the latest update. Still trying to figure out the ISN integration portion but it’s simple to set up. Try it for yourself. Rent a monitor before you buy. See if you like it. I would recommend to anyone in the field

### 5/5 — Why all the complaints?

*2021-03-26*

New app works great for me. Generates reports in a minute easy. Sure the old app may have been better, but adapt and overcome. No complaints, great product all the way around.

### 5/5 — Time Saver!

*2020-12-19*

Templates are great and overall easy to use app & dashboard. Good job.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2020-11-19*

Great app, easy to use interface. Having the ability to process and email the report from the field saves tons of time. I never had the old app so I honestly have nothing to compare it to, however this on functions as it should.

### 4/5 — App has improved

*2021-10-29*

There were some growing pains shifting to the new app, for sure. However they listened to users and made improvements. It is much better now.

Still a touch slower than the old version, but if you spend a bit of time updating the template once, you can make it as simple as the old version. However, now you have the capability of doing much more, including dynamic text where you can add explanation that is specific to your test situation. No need to go in and add text later. So, trading a bit of time up front for savings later on.

The new app and dashboard ecosystem also allows much better adherence with various state requirements that were simply not possible before, so those in states with licensing can be compliant with much less work overall.

### 2/5 — Old App Was Better

*2020-12-01, version 2.5.1*

I preferred the old app simply because of how simple it was to use. I also preferred the report on the older app as well.
