## What is Coreshatter?

Defend the Core. Draft Glyphs. Shatter to bank, Converge to begin again.

Coreshatter is a chill idle tower defense roguelite built for the long game. Lay out a defense, read the waves crashing against your Core, and tune a build with genuine depth. Then prestige and push deeper. It keeps playing while you are away and pays out when you return, so a quick check-in and a long strategy session both feel good.

THE CORE LOOP
- DEFEND: Enemies stream across the Grid toward your Core. Your Glyphs fire on their own while you read the fight and steer the run.
- DRAFT: Every run deals a fresh roguelite hand. Choose Glyphs and Chips, chase synergies, and adapt to each wave.
- SHATTER: Bank the run's spoils and lock in your gains.
- CONVERGE: Prestige to reset with permanent power and open deeper systems each time.

DRAFT AND BUILD
- Socket Glyphs and Chips into a board loadout where placement changes everything.
- Find synergies across offense, defense, and economy pieces.
- Answer wave modifiers that reward a flexible, adaptable build.
- Auto-arrange your board, or hand-place every piece for full control.

WAVES THAT TEST YOUR BUILD
- Face a roster of distinct foes, from swarming Motes and splitting Splitters to shielded bruisers and Corruption bosses that demand an answer.
- Each wave can shift the rules, so the run that beats one seed may stumble on the next.
- Endless escalation rewards builds that scale.

DEEP PROGRESSION
- Invest Scrap, Data, and Flux across the Foundry, Mainframe, and Lattice upgrade trees.
- Build a network of up to 8 linked Cores, each with its own feel and bonuses.
- Collect and master Glyphs in the Codex and chart your growth in the Constellation.
- Convergence prestige compounds your power run after run.

THE ENDGAME OPENS UP
- Complete the Axiom tree to open Vestiges: hunt, forge, and equip collectible relics, each with a passive that reshapes a run.
- Deep Hunts: push a run past wave 100 to recover a Vestige's Fragments and forge it toward Apex.
- Research: a permanent Core upgrade tree.
- Gambit: stake earned Axioms on a live run, hold past the floor and Shatter for a bigger payout, or lose the run and the stake.

RANKED LADDERS
- Take it online with a new competitive endgame: climb a daily rating ladder from Bronze to Grandmaster.
- Aegis Trials hands every player the same curated daily kit, so your rank comes down to pure skill.
- The Ascendant Ladder pits the build you have forged against the whole field.
- A fresh shared challenge every day, six-week Ladder Seasons, and a live Standings board you can climb. Rewards are cosmetic.

IN-RUN AGENCY
- When the pressure spikes, tap REPAIR to patch your Core or HOLD THE LINE to dig in.
- Make the clutch draft pick that turns a losing run around.
- Light, deliberate decisions you make in a tap.

IDLE AND OFFLINE
- Offline progress that matches live play, so time away is never wasted.
- Auto-Run keeps earning in the background while you plan your next build.
- Made for a few minutes a day or a long tuning session, your call.

BUILT TO PLAY YOUR WAY
- Colorblind-safe coding that reads by shape and label as well as hue.
- Reduced-motion support, scalable text, and a high-contrast interface.
- A calm, flat interface with the light and motion saved for the arena where the action lives.

Free to play. Set up your defense, Shatter, Converge, and see how deep the Core goes.

Mainframe is an auto-renewable monthly subscription. Pricing is shown in the app and varies by region. The subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings.

### 3/5 — Fun but issues

*2026-07-21*

Several descriptions don’t even make sense. Feel like there’s a language barrier or something. Audio completely cuts out if you go to another app, and come back. Requires closing the app completely to fix.

### 5/5 — Perfect Mix of Passive + Engagement

*2026-07-11*

If you were looking for a chill tap (no button mashing) but visually beautiful and engaging real time game that builds over time this is it.
It’s hard to describe but it’s well worth your time.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.10.0 — 2026-08-25

More control during runs, and instant rewards when you return.

Unlock Trash after Veto to remove up to three Glyphs or Chips per run — each use costs more Heat and Scrap, shown before you confirm. Four new Exchange unlocks automate Drafts, Shattering and Research, and at Convergence 44 you can pick an Opening Glyph to start every run with.

Also new:
• Instant offline rewards. Coming back after time away no longer runs a long catch-up — what you earned is ready immediately.
• Clearer build details. Tap a board stat to see its bonuses, multipliers and caps. The Codex now tracks recorded Fusions and Glyph Sets, and Circuit help shows active Circuits, near-misses and missing Chips.
• Safer resumes. Non-Ranked runs can be resumed at any time, late-game runs that would not restore are fixed, and iCloud saves are safer when switching Apple Accounts.
• Better Ranked. Closest current-season rivals, fewer repeat opponents, and standings that keep their last results.
• A new Daily Run Bonus. Bank a run at wave 50 or higher once a day to earn 8 Flux.
• Faster and smoother. Long runs use less memory, projectile-heavy boards run much faster, and iPad supports resizable windows on Apple silicon Macs.

Thanks for playing!

### 1.9.6 — 2026-08-10

Weekend Anomalies, and runs that survive a close.

A new Anomaly every weekend, Friday to Sunday. Each rewrites the run rules and pays a track of Flux, Grid Sync, Vestige Fragments and Axioms. Open EVENTS on Home.

Also new:
• Your run survives a close. If the game closes during a run, reopen within 30 minutes and you land back in the same run, at the same wave. Anything earned while away still banks.
• A much faster arena. The floor, the Grid, projectiles and effects all draw faster.
• Controller support. A connected controller navigates every screen.
• A clearer Attunement sheet, plus fixes across reminders, graphics settings and the Draft.

Thanks for playing!

### 1.8.3 — 2026-08-01

A quick fix.

Opening the game could show the same message every time, saying the app had closed during a run. That message is gone. Idle earnings and your save were always safe and carry on as before.

Thanks for playing!

### 1.8.2 — 2026-07-30

Five Ultraboss fights, from wave 50.

Each climax asks your build a different question: the Null Sovereign's self-repairing plate, the Spiral Outrider's orbit, the Gilded Assessor levying your Scrap, the Hollow Choir's ring of attendants, the Siege Colossus shelling the Core from range. Each kill earns a ceremony and a place on the Codex trophy shelf.

Also new:
• Faster across the board. The arena draws quicker on every device, and the heaviest waves hold a steady frame rate.
• Fusion survives a full board. Fuse offers keep coming once every Glyph slot is filled, right to the end of the run.
• Every Grid Season tier pays. A claimed tier whose cosmetic you already own grants Flux in its place, and the reward track marks what you own.
• Ukrainian in the app, Arabic counts that agree with their real value, and a run stats sheet that reports the damage your Core really deals.

Thanks for playing!

### 1.7.8 — 2026-07-24

A clearer run.

A refreshed run HUD, spawn telegraphs for elites and bosses, and new threats announced by name.

Also new:
• The game explains itself. Tap any currency to see what it earns, what it buys, and what survives a reset. Convergence and Reformat preview your next cycle, and Research shows what each upgrade does.
• The Codex grew two wings. A Bestiary of every enemy you've met, plus a Circuits library for planning combos between runs.
• Haptics on iOS, new sounds for boss kills and prestiges, a sharper first hour, and dozens of fixes.

Thanks for playing!
