## What is Corn 3000?

Being a faithful record of one farmer's years upon the Corn Belt.

A telegram arrives: your grandfather's quarter-section passes to you — the team, the barn, the herd, and the mortgage with it. Pick your year (1930 to the present), pick your state, and farm it for thirty seasons.

Corn 3000 is a turn-based farming life told as a farmer's almanac, built on real USDA and NOAA data and a working field-by-field soil model — no invented numbers. Every figure in it is the true one: USDA yields and prices, NOAA weather, the actual farm bills — the AAA corn-hog contract, the CCC loan floor, deficiency payments, ARC and PLC. Sign with the crop insurance agent at the kitchen table. Sell off the combine or bin it and carry to March. Sow rye after harvest, haul manure while the ground's froze, and watch your soil's organic matter answer for every choice — the ground remembers, field by field.

At year's end the books come out: a ruled ledger that accounts for every bushel — what the weather took, what the rotation paid, what your own hands moved. Clear the note on the farm and the land is yours, free and clear. Run it into the dirt and the auctioneer calls.
