This app also runs significantly slower than what we were accustomed to from ASB. Really, really dislike this app. Why wouldn’t you choose to go with the app that ran more efficiently and was more user friendly? Poor choice, Cornerstone Bank! ### 3/5 — Cornerstone Bank App *2026-05-26, version 26.1.404.1* The app is just really slow and clunky. The online check deposit doesn’t work well and logging into the app itself is complicated. The ASB app was much better than cornerstones, too bad they merged. ### 2/5 — Good bank, horrible app *2026-05-17, version 26.1.403.1* The app takes centuries to load, and only loads 3/4 of the time. Very buggy and roughly designed app, feels outdated. After the merge with athol savings app, it stopped letting me log in completely and i’ll have to make my now 5th call to customer service over login issues. ### 3/5 — Useful yet unstable *2025-04-18, version 25.1.101.1* Very useful, well put together app, however it has login issues ~10% of the time you open it. When you try logging in, it will act as if you are entering the incorrect password. You are forced to reset it, which requires sending a verification code to your phone as part of the process. Half the time, this code takes hours to go through if it never does, half the time it’s instant and you are able to reset your password (thankfully, you are able to reset it to what is was before.) When all else fails you can always call customer service to have your password reset, wich always works until the next time, then you must repeat the process. Sometimes it would tell me a different error at log in and I would retry and it would work. Have to quit and reload several times before it finally works. The service has not been the same, the online banking is not great at all. Try sending a money wire somewhere. Good luck! It doesn’t tell you where your debits where it only tells you the town not the store or establishment. It takes forever to go from one page to another. I’m very disappointed that Athol merged with Cornerstone. ### 1/5 — Not a Fan *2026-05-25, version 26.1.404.1* I’m new to Cornerstone having been carried over from the late Athol Savings Bank. The transfer experience was difficult. I found the instructions difficult to follow as the example of how to enter data such as DOB did not exactly match the format on the re-registration screen. When I called for help I learned I was 117 in line with no anticipated wait time given. The bank staff was helpful but there was a line of about 8 people. They advised me to skip the app and go on from my browser. I have since tried using my laptop instead of my iPhone for online banking which is easier. I miss the Athol Savings account capability for assigning a nickname to a credit card account. It worked well so I only had to use the name of the store without needing to know which bank handled their credit card. I heard one former Athol Savings customer say staff advised him to replace his 3 year old phone for online banking. That seems scary to me but I have no reason to think he was lying. I happen to use more than one local bank. They merged a few years ago. I don’t recall having any inconvenience as a result so I was surprised this transaction has been so fraught with difficulties. I think I have my Cornerstone banking affairs straightened out now but if there are more difficulties, I will have to consider undertaking the time consuming effort required to transfer the bulk of my banking activity elsewhere.
