I’ve read this book of the Bible many times, but for the first time I feel I actually have a decent grasp on the timeline of events and what the Bible is truly is saying about end times and beyond. Cornerstone is non denominational Christisan. Fearless. Pastor Gary's sermons are biblically centered, but .... he links it to current events, so the teachings affect our lives. The guest speakers are also excellent. The CEO of the Babylon Bee satire site, Lieutenan Genral Boykin, and guest pastors. ### 5/5 — Incredible biblical teaching in one place *2023-05-30, version 6.1.1* Three years ago, I considered myself a Christian but didn’t practice my faith of have a relationship with the Lord. When we went back to church, I started with a Bible study group and the wonderful women there turned me onto cornerstone and Pastor Gary as a way to do a deep dive into the Bible. I love being able to pull up a book study and listen while I’m doing chores. Pastor Gary is unapologetic about the word and I simply adore his church and the way the Lord is working through them. Within the last week, I am unable to listen to the downloads when I am offline. Did something change? There’s no sense of downloading them if I can’t listen to them without data or wifi. And I’d rather not have things downloading in my pocket. ### 4/5 — Great App. Seems like this release has an audio volume issue *2023-02-01, version 5.21.1* Ive been using this app for years. I recently moved to a new iPhone and set everything up. I noticed immediately that the volume seems low. This is not the case with any other apps such as podcast or music apps. That is as expected. This app has volume low enough that in a noisey environment you have to work at hearing it properly. I’m posting this in this review as there seems no way of giving feedback to the developer as a user. Otherwise it is terrific. ### 4/5 — Fairly polished, but not quite perfect *2012-02-26, version 3.8.3* This app genuinely is pretty good, and I use it whenever I can't get out to church in person; it's a great way to keep up with the sermons. A couple of nit-picks that I happened upon: First, as I was watching the Sunday morning service on my iPhone, I received a text message pop-up notification -- and the Cornerstone app promptly ceased streaming. Three or four subsequent messages, and I saw the app consistently halt the stream whenever a text message hit my phone, and actually crash once while reopening. In each case, the unexpected closure of the app dumped me back on the app's home screen when I reopened it; it had lost track of where I was when it exited. The best case scenario in my mind would be that the app uses iOS background services to continue to play the audio in the background while I use other apps, (such as when responding to those text messages) and then seamlessly resumes the video when I go back to the app… but at the very least, it should more reliably return to the last screen I was using when the app was closed. The second nit-pick is related to the support link; I'm posting this review from iTunes on my computer, and I would have simply submitted most of this text as a bug report directly to the developers instead of as an app review -- if the support link above the review text box went to a useable support site instead of to a static page with no links. Someone might want to look into that. (Regarding one reviewer who complained about the removal of the music from recordings of past services: I'm pretty sure that's a licensing issue, and something not easily remedied -- without blithely tossing huge sums of money out the window, of course.
