## What is Cornish Reps?

Cornish Reps counts your reps with the motion sensors in your earbuds and says every number in your ear. The phone lies on the floor, you just do the work.

Free, no account, no subscription, no ads, no network.

HOW IT WORKS
Put in your earbuds, start a set and go. The app reads the motion of your head, counts each rep and calls it out. A set ends when you tap the screen, say stop, or simply hold still. If a number slips, fix it out loud: plus one, minus two. The voice commands are start, stop, pause, resume, plus and minus.

No earbuds on you? Everything else still works. The program, the rest timers, the stats and the streak are all there, and you set the numbers by hand after each set.

EXERCISES
Push-ups, knee push-ups, sit-ups, squats, pull-ups, assisted pull-ups, and the plank on a timer.

THE PROGRAM
It starts with one test: do as many as you can in a single set. From that number the app lays out six weeks of sets, three workouts a week. Push-ups run on the classic hundred push-ups table, the other exercises have their own tables of the same shape. Retests after week two and week four rebuild the rest of the plan around what you actually did. Every exercise except the plank gets its own program and its own test, and the plank is sets and seconds you pick yourself. Come back after a long break and the plan steps back with you instead of pretending nothing happened.

WHAT ELSE IS INSIDE
A daily streak: any one exercise closes the day and keeps the pixel cat fed.
A home screen widget with the streak and whether the day is closed.
Stats: totals per exercise, growth charts, a calendar of every day you trained, and a full workout log.
A rest timer between sets. Tap the water during rest to add fifteen seconds.
An optional evening reminder, only on days you have not trained yet. It is a local notification, nothing is sent anywhere.
CSV export of the raw sensor recordings, and a JSON backup of the whole history.
Light and dark themes. English and Russian, switched in settings.

PRIVACY
The app makes no network requests of its own. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising identifier. Your history sits on your iPhone, and it leaves only when you share the file yourself. Voice commands go through Apple's own speech recognition: the app asks iOS to keep it on the iPhone, and if the on-device model will not run, iOS may pass the audio to Apple's speech recognition service. It never reaches me.

WHAT YOU NEED
An iPhone on iOS 18 or later. Automatic counting needs headphones with a motion sensor: it works with AirPods Pro, AirPods 3 and AirPods 4. Without them the app works with manual input.

This is a training app, not medical advice. Talk to a doctor before you start a training program.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.0.2 — 2026-09-15

The app can now ask you for a rating at the right moment, which is the whole change here. Under the hood the store listing was rewritten so the app can actually be found by search.

The counter, the six week program and the iCloud backup are unchanged.

### 1.0 — 2026-09-14

No release notes.
