## What is Cornish Verb Blitz?

Learn and practise Kernewek / Cornish verbs with this interactive verb reference and drill tool. With over 100 core verbs in the Standard Written Form (SWF), Verb Blitz covers the present, imperfect and preterite tenses, alongside a full set of everyday periphrastic (auxiliary) constructions — statements, negatives and questions, present and past continuous, the present perfect, and the "want to", "can" and "know how to" patterns. It's a clear and effective way to build and revise your Cornish grammar as well as your everyday vocabulary.

Many Cornish speakers reach for these auxiliary constructions in everyday conversation rather than conjugating a verb directly, so alongside every verb's traditional paradigm, you'll also see exactly how it works within these more commonly spoken sentence patterns — giving you both the classic conjugation table and the Cornish that's actually spoken day to day, side by side.

As well as a verb reference, there is a set of intensive verb drill activities to quiz your conjugation knowledge, including:

Infinitive quiz: do you know the meaning of each verb?
Conjugation quiz: can you select the correct verb form or sentence for the English translation?
Snap quiz: can you spot when the Cornish and English sentences match? Try to get ten in a row!
Gapfill: can you spell out the missing word in the conjugated sentence, letter by letter?
