I once had the worst pain in my right lower stomach but I dint think much of it. But it kept getting worse so I finally put my covid symptom s in it and it said that it was Acute Appendicitis but I dint believe it. Otherwise it kept getting worse so I finally went to the doctor and he examined it and he said Appendicitis so I went to the ER and sure enough it was Appendicitis with it getting ready to burst so I had to get emergency surgery to remove it. The doctor said if I had waited any longer I would of been in critical condition so Corona Checker SAVED MY LIFE!! ### 5/5 — Accurate *2020-05-01, version 1.04* I believe this screening is very accurate. I am a healthcare provider and these are the same recommendations I would be giving to people trying to find out what their next steps should be. Use the app & be respectful about walking into other facilities unannounced. The questions and evaluations were developed by the corona checker, and this is a FANTASTIC way to reduce the load on the folks giving the tests. I covid appreciate covid app doing this. Difficult to set DOB during registration Poor latency, often days behind No zoom buttons like + - No way to set default location & zoom level No way to set default layers Really hate it when zoomed into say China & you change layers it throws you back to east coast USA! Why show Asymptomatics at all? Difficult to see whole world at once! The information and the live numbers are not up to date all of the time. And the next is the chat had people that are not talking about the disease or are being inappropriate. It would be nice to have a chat monitor. As soon as I see a new cases or deaths in the news, I check the app, and it has the updated numbers. Good maps, you can see the confirmed cases, deaths and more. I recommend if you have any interest at all in tracking the outbreak. Temp (x2 day) & symptoms checks to 14 days) 2) Amendment: For United States users the CDC defines fever as feeling “feverish or temperature > 100.0.” (Interim guidance the healthcare workers)...App asks for temp of >101 F. 3) Incorporating a city, county, State health department notifications system would be great. 4) keep up the good work ### 5/5 — Separate color for “recovered” *2020-04-16, version 1.03* There should be a separate color for those who are recovered on the map, that way the map doesn’t show those with the illness and those who are recovered as the same population. ### 5/5 — Acct Registration Issue *2020-04-14, version 1.03* I really like this app, and it’s really helped me and has been extremely precise. When trying to register to my account it has issues on the Birthdate selection and wont let me pinpoint my actual birthday date and year. It also, a few times wouldnt let me continue because it put a year that would have considered me under 18. In which I am not. But other than that minuscule issue. This app is perfect and appreciated. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Is this a scam? *2020-10-19, version 1.05* I am not one who does the 1-star reviews or likes to throw mud, but I was shocked by this app. I was looking for an app to help me find COVID testing options in my area. I went through it’s questionnaire and coughed up my personal info and contact info and all it did was try to sell me tests. I believe one option was for $149 and the other for around $300. When I replied “not interested,” that was that. Nothing else. It just started the questionnaire over again in case I wanted to do it for someone else. Wow. ### 1/5 — Do not download this app!! *2020-06-28, version 1.05* It’s just a crappy scam. They’ll take your info, you answer some questions, and then they suggest you get tested and offer you their $100 home test kit. You decline it right there in the app and then the fun starts. They start barraging you with phone calls and texts pressuring you to buy the kit. No problem right? Just block their number? Nope, they’ll call you from all over the USA (however most callers are Indian). They will never leave you alone!!! ### 4/5 — This really works! *2020-04-20, version 1.04* So nice when you are sick to not have to go to a doctors office and spend time in a waiting room with other sick folks. This took 10 minutes and i never left my couch. The doctors are very helpful and ask questions and prescribe covid appropriate treatment and prescriptions (in my case an antibiotic for a sinus infection). The cost is aa fraction of my insurance co-pay for an office visit and the prescription is electronically sent to my pharmacy. I have used this twice for sinus issues and have been very hcovid appy both times. The covid app is very intuitive and easy to use. I’ve done a mental health session and medical covid appointment and had a wonderful experience with both. Most importantly, it saves time! Physicians are smart, knowledgeable, and more thorough than some on site docs. I believe this may be they have to pay more attention because they can not be with you in person. I looked at this app and decided to give it a try. I tracked my covid symptom s and rated them. She then began to ask questions about my pain and where it was. She could not have been more nice and gotten it more correct. Hey went to the doctor and she got it right! He told me he didn’t think it was another kidney stone because he knows the pain already and explained this back pain didn’t feel like the kidney stone pain. Being paranoid, I downloaded this app assuming not much, and this app just surprised both of us. It was insane how perfect the questions are and how much it asks. Sure, it’s not a professional diagnosis from a medical doctor, but it does eliminate a lot of assumptions. After all the questions, Corona Checker concluded “mechanical back pain” which then my husband proceeded to tell me he did pull a muscle earlier in the day. Thank you Corona Checker. I’m going to recommend this app to everyone I know.
