Messages will not deliver and will not save either to send later if there is a connection issue or whatever. I have been experiencing this for over a week now where I’ll type a message, send it, and it never gets delivered and completely disappears. Messages from my loved one takes forever to appear. The next day after that until now it has been acting up. I’m not getting responses sent to me, the person I’m writing not getting my responses . So we both have to check and see what time the last messages we received was to make sure we’re not missing anything and then retyping the missed messages. It feels good knowing that your loved one is just a text away and you could stay in touch when you are not able to physically visit. I tried to uninstall and reinstall and that same error won’t allow me to login. Geesh! ### 3/5 — Good but Considerations maybe.. *2026-01-16, version 2.2* It becoming really aggravating that the system is constantly getting stuck and freezes The Whole screen to where you are not allow to keep texting/typing anymore and once it comes back to motion it deleted all your message as it used to keep it before the upgrade even happen this last time around it’s also charging for messages that never go delivered and also never registered on the senders screen either also would be amazing if both inmates and families could have copy and paste and use emojis to be available specially for the inmates small family members also add pictures already to this app since checking emails online is no longer an option and video visits it’s not accessible unless it’s only for some states it needs to be specific a receipt or a read(delivered) that your family member/ inmate received it also there has to be a way to track which ones are new and just came through and which are not like a tap on the ones you read confirmation of some kind so the system doesn’t flag that you have new messages but you are in able to identify which ones or like make them “Bold/italic” when they are new once they get a tap it’s been read by the receiver and the sender gets a little notification along with the delivery check mark specially since it’s charging money per every message and some of them the system completely ignored to send out and didn’t even kept it on the sender side either if it’s a miss delivered it should be red flag or highlighter and available to retry to send it and then charge but outside of this the system has been a way to for sure talk faster to family friends that are locked in they do take a minute or two they are not seconds quick but I know internet connectivity plays into that I am thankful for it though it helps when phones where down or letters take a while for sure. It also struggles loading, and it is very frustrating when you are paying for a service, that's unreliable and does not work well. We're experiencing significant delays in receiving text messages since the recent changes to the communication system. Initially, the new tablet system allowed for near real-time text messaging, which was a vast improvement. We were able to communicate often. However, following a paper notice notification from within the walls about potential delays, the lag time has increased dramatically – we're now receiving messages one to two days after they are sent. This delay is causing considerable frustration and impacting our ability to maintain consistent communication. We understand the IDOC transitioned to a new provider, but this current situation is creating unnecessary hardship. While we appreciate the intention behind providing tablets and text messaging, the significant delay negates much of the benefit. We were also spending more on messaging credits when the communication was more immediate. Now that the messages are delayed, this cost is reduced. We're hoping to find a solution to improve the timeliness of message delivery.
