They could see us but could also barely hear us!!! and not to mention that my app didnt even connect our call when it started, it just keep saying to wait for out call to begin (when it was still 5 mins past our scheduled time) so it was just a very poor phone call at that point… super disappointing so im deleting this app ASAP and only using our PC/laptop for future calls ### 1/5 — Invasion of privacy *2024-02-19, version 1.2.0* I’m not the convicted why a app needs every ounce of information from everything you own? You can’t use a Bluetooth headset with this app-only headphones with a cable. How is this app so terrible!? It seems like it was written 10 years ago and just left. And apple iPhone 12 and the volume on test video the lady talks so quiet and volume is full. Video not bad but the sound is horrible. Most of the time you have to do or know sign language because talking isn’t an option. Say what!? *2021-06-30* So I have a loved one who is incarcerate. The picture quality and sound quality have always been less than acceptable but with no other option - even based off use of all the FAQs…I have continue to use the app. This week however during a session the app abruptly ends the session and tells me that I need to do the update in order to continue to use the service. I check: My iOS is up-to-date (I ran the video and audio test every time prior to a call session. So I know that was up-to-date 10 minutes before the beginning of the session.). I review the information on the current app. It says the last update was well over a year ago…? So I delete it and all of its data and revisit the App Store to download it again thinking I must be in need of a newer version? But wait? What is this? It is the same exact APP, with the same exact year ago last updated information. If I didn’t know better I would feel like I’m being punished by using this application under the surmise of guilty by association! Fix the bugs. This is not an end-user problem. This is a publisher’s issue. Just bad customer service. Does anyone know of an alternative platform? Attention all developers - you have some easy competition here. My sisters been locked up in Illinois and they recently switched from gtl to corrlinks and I haven’t been able to even see that she’s requested a video chat with me! Absolute garbage because what the prison system gets from the state per inmate isn’t enough to afford a decent operable communication system. I can’t say enough negative at all about this app or the state or the prison system. I was so happy to learn that I finally could talk to my child and see her! In country I am from there is no such a thing as video call or even possibility to call from prison home. I am so glad that all these years I had a chance to communicate with my daughter. Thanks to this app I was able to let her listen her favorite music and audio congratulations from all her relatives on the Birthdays. I make screen shots and share pictures with all who misses her. ### 3/5 — Iphone 11 *2020-11-26* I have Iphone 11 with ios 14.2, the latest update Corrlinks has is iOS 13 from a year ago. My issue is I can’t get my mic volume to work so that the inmate can hear me. I verified it works by doing a video on my phone. The test i run before the chat shows failure. Not sure what to do at this point. They have tried to help me to no avail but I seriously think the issue is with needing an iOS update. ### 3/5 — Volume issues *2020-02-27* The volume is extremely low can’t hear. I never uninstalled it off of my devices. I have it on two devices, my iPhone, and my iPad unfortunately now my loved one is able to use video again and every time I try to login to do the test it’s telling me that I’m not logging in right I don’t have the right password and then it has in parentheses SE so I don’t know on the app. It doesn’t have a place for me to contact anyone for help. The volume is so low you can’t even hear, it literally sounds like it’s coming out of the ear part. Your camera flips your picture, instead of mirroring it, so you have to move your phone all cattywampus for them to even see you. & the app works when it wants. I’ve been trying for the last 15 mins to accept a video chat, but the app keeps closing on itself.
