## What is Corsair Alert?

Corsair Alert is the official campus safety app for Santa Monica College. Developed in partnership with the SMC Police Department, Corsair Alert connects you directly to campus safety services, keeps you informed with real-time emergency alerts, and provides powerful tools to help you stay safe and connected on and around campus.

Key Features:

· Emergency Contacts - Quickly access emergency and non-emergency contacts for SMC and the surrounding area.

· Police Call Box - Send your real-time location directly to SMC Police in case of a crisis.

· Friend Walk - Share your location with a trusted friend and let them monitor your journey in real time to ensure you arrive safely.

· Tip Reporting - Report suspicious behavior or safety concerns to SMC Police.

· Walk with SMCPD - Let SMC Police monitor your route if you're walking alone and feel unsafe.

· Safety Toolbox - Includes:
     • Live chat with campus police
     • “I’m OK!” check-in notifications
     • Campus maps
     • Notification history

· Emergency Plans - Access campus emergency procedures even without Wi-Fi or cellular data.

· Support Resources - One-tap access to campus and wellness support services.

· Safety Notifications - Get instant alerts and real-time safety instructions during emergencies.
