Paid in Advance, They Changed the Rules
What happened to this app?
I paid for Cosmo in advance, and after taking my money, the company changed the service to a credit-based system. Now I’m being told I can’t fully use features I already paid for because I supposedly don’t have enough credits.
That is not a minor update. That is a fundamental change to what customers purchased.
If the credit system had been disclosed before I paid, fine. I could have decided whether it was worth it. But changing the rules after customers have already prepaid is a completely different issue, and I seriously question whether that is acceptable from a consumer-protection standpoint.
The frustrating part is that Cosmo used to be one of the best apps in this space. The old version was far better. Now it feels more restrictive, more expensive, and objectively worse for longtime paying customers.
If you already collected payment under the old model, those customers should be grandfathered into what they paid for. Period.
