## What is Cosmos Forms?

Cosmos Forms is an easy-to-use, flexible and powerful mobile phone platform for automating work processes.  The mobile app provides a consistent and intuitive interface that dynamically changes based on user input and evolves as the form progresses through each status in its lifecycle.  Data synchronization is automatic, and users can work connected or disconnected from cellular or WiFi networks.  Intelligent controls based on more than a decade of field experience allow workers in Service, Safety, Operations and other organizations, to easily perform Inspections, Audits, Field Tickets, Work Orders, and Hazard Assessments.  The Cosmos Forms Designer website allows any form and process to be defined quickly, using a no-code, drag-and-drop interface. Our goal is to replace all paper forms!   

Integrated actions / tasks can easily be communicated between Cosmos Forms mobile phone apps, phone-to-phone to the right workers, with all the work details including photos, detailed descriptions of the work to be performed, due date, related facility and equipment, etc.  Everything the worker needs to complete the assigned work and take a photo of the completed task, if desired.  Completed tasks are automatically updated on the requesting form.  Entering of tasks can easily be tailored to allow pre-defined task descriptions to be defined in response to inspection/audit questions making inspector entry fast and consistent. Automatic GPS capture, unlimited photos (at both a form and task level), bar codes, voice input and text, number and date fields are all standard features. 

The form designer, data manager, data synchronization manager, Microsoft Flow connector and other components, are all part of the overall integrated platform and are cloud based.  In addition, complimentary business applications are also available for Service, Safety and Operations management.

- Form lookup fields (Account xx, Equipment xx, Facility xx, Project xx) now support the ability to have dynamic sections or fields to be based on specific records similar to how Picklists work.
- Added a Form Template field to select a Business Unit.

- A new Form Status State is now available which will allow a status to be defined as Hold.  When a form is in a Hold status the form is locked from any changes until it is manually released programmatically from the Cosmos Automate Release Hold action or by an Administrator in the Designer.
- Systems notifications (SMS/Email) have been simplified for assigned Form and Action notifications.
- Systems notifications (SMS/Email) have been added for assigned Messages.
- Systems notifications (SMS/Email)  are now sent by default to all members of the team that is responsible for acting on a form in a specific status. 
- The display of “show” fields on equipment has been changed to be less verbose by  no longer repeating the parent equipment xx label to simply “>>>” to indicate that this fields are read-only and related to the equipment selected.
