## What is Cost Notebook?

Cost notebook helps you track the real cost of what you own, not just the purchase price.
Record when you bought an item, when you stopped using it, and (optionally) resale value. The app automatically calculates total cost, daily cost, and value retention so you can clearly see long-term spending efficiency.

Key Features
Item lifecycle tracking
Save purchase date, deactivation date, and optional resale price for each item.

Automatic cost analysis
Instantly compute net cost, daily cost, annualized retention, and base retention.

List insights
View total holding cost and average daily cost across your records.

Search, sort, and star
Quickly find records, sort by different metrics, and mark important items.

CSV import/export
Import is always free. Export can be unlocked via in-app purchase.
Core functions available offline; unlocking CSV export requires online purchase via the App Store.

Private by design
Your data stays on your device. No account required. No cloud sync.

Cost notebook is built for people who want cleaner spending decisions, better ownership visibility, and simple long-term cost tracking.
