Reported to ombudsman ### 1/5 — Rewards Should Be Usable at More Stores *2026-08-09, version 5.15.0* I’m struggling to understand the point of the app offering rewards and letting customers scan their preferences in different stores if the free codes can only be redeemed at Costa Coffee. Surely, if I’ve earned a free code, it should be my choice where I use it among the participating stores. I’m not necessarily near a Costa every day, and I may prefer to redeem my reward somewhere else. If the app works with different retailers and collects our preferences across them, it would make much more sense for the rewards to offer some flexibility too. Otherwise, the usefulness of the reward system feels quite limited. P.S. Until this issue is addressed and customers are given more flexibility over where they can redeem their rewards, I’ll be keeping my one-star review. ### 1/5 — Deleted my account for no reason! *2026-08-06, version 5.15.0* I received an email telling me to collect my birthday reward, go to login on the app & it says my password is wrong. Contacted customer service & they said the email isn’t registered to an account even though I’ve had one for years! The last one I purchased in the St James shopping centre tasted like cold milk.
