Now I know why the staff didn’t try and promote it! ### 1/5 — Membership expired problem!!!! *2026-04-09, version 3.31.1* My actual card has one year membership but the APP shows it has expired?!!! I have been using the APP for a few years without any issues until now! I was told by COSTCO staff that delete and reinstall might solve the problem, sadly it didn’t. ### 1/5 — CHECKOUT NEVER WORKS *2026-03-28* This app is utterly useless, I have tried at least two dozen times to make a successful checkout using this app and not a single time does it work. I have uninstalled and re-installed, added new payment methods, deleted them, re-added them and nothing will stop the app from erroring when I come to pay via any payment method. Card, Apple Pay, whichever I choose the app doesn’t work. I’m sure I can’t be the only one given the apps abysmal overall rating. Gone are the days of showing up at the membership counter to ask for a little piece of paper with your number on it! However they’ve not yet fully implemented it properly, as there’s no support for adding the card to Apple Wallet, and the card does not work on the fuel stations either, so keep that in mind if you’re looking to use it! ### 4/5 — Good, but needs digital membership card *2023-05-17* The app loads nice and fast, and navigation is fairly easy once you get the hang of it. But it feels very disconnected from the physical stores. For example, the product range is very limited compared to in-store. Mine keeps recommending I upgrade my membership to the same membership I already have, so that’s weird. (Using latest iOS, valid membership and auto-renew is active) Overall a good and working app, but it could be made a lot more useful by adding a wider product range, a digital membership card and an in-store order history. ### 3/5 — Missed opportunity *2025-07-04* The app stores customers digital membership card which you need to show in the wear house for entry and purchase. The problem is that it needs connectivity to show the membership. Our Costco store doesn't have mobile coverage by the tills. There are long queues at the tills made even longer by not being able to show your membership store without walking back to the exit where there is mobile single and running back to the till so they can scan your card. Why not allow the card to be displayed in the app without needing a connection, or give us the option to save the card to the apple wallet, or provide guest wifi access for customers. It's a painful experience currently. Hopefully the feedback can be listened to and is useful. ### 3/5 — Basically useless until you forget your card *2025-07-04* For an app in 2025, this app is basically pointless unless you shop online or need to use the digital card.
