When it works *2022-10-30* I really enjoy playing this, but it freezes up so often I have to stop. It’s frustrating because it’s such a great game. For the most part I love it, but I wish online play weren’t so tedious. I am constantly having to restart the app because of network connection problems. I also find it takes too long to complete a game, sometimes several days. An option to play against 1 person instead of 2 would be nice. I know there is a quick game option, but whenever I’ve tried that, there’s never been anyone available to play. Because of the slow online play, I prefer playing against the AI. I don’t see much difference between the medium and the hard AI. I usually play with one easy and one medium so I have half a chance of winning, but the easy character’s moves are so obviously bad, what was once laughable has become annoying. ### 2/5 — Glitches galore! *2017-12-03* This app worked well for about a week. After that me and those I am playing with have had nothing but trouble. I have games that i am supposed to be playing but they do not show up in the queue. We gave offered feedback to the developer but nothing changed! Extremely frustrating. After paying $5 fir this game I expected a smoother operation. I see I have 2-3 games thats my turn but the game list is blank. I reloaded game, redownloaded the game, nothing works. I have been timed out several of the games and counted as losses! Please fix! I can't play any games making this game useless for me at the moment. Very frustrating. **Developer response:** Hello Sexy Sheep, please send us an ingame bug report so we know which games are affected.Thank you for your help ### 3/5 — Still needs polish *2017-11-09* Great game, but still a little buggy and has some elements that are not explained. *minor unresponsiveness when moving tiles. *hard to see the scoreboard elements when playing on smaller screens (and manipulating your score is part of the game). *no options for different timer lengths and no explanation of how the timer works in a multiplayer game, which is a particular problem when notifications are inconsistent **Developer response:** Hi, the timer is a standard 24 hours per player. If you are finding that notifications are not coming properly please send us a bug report through the game by pressing the settings gear and then the bug icon to send us a detailed note on any issues you find. I find it is pretty easy to swipe out notifications for games (ours and a few others) if I open a game, but do not make a move. Best Regards! ### 4/5 — Computer cheats and no saved states *2017-11-01* A good start it would be nice if it had the ability to resume games in progress. If the app closes or you can complete a whole game in one sitting you are out of luck and have to start all over again. **Developer response:** Hi, all games are saved all the time - you can find them in the running games list in the main menu. The AI does not cheat - that is plain impossible in an open information game. Cheers. ### 3/5 — Noch viele Fehler *2017-10-27* Im Singleplayer oder Lokal ist das Spiel gut zu spielen, aber der Online-Multiplayer hat einige Macken. Zum Glück sind die nicht spielbeeinflussend, sondern nur optisch. Manchmal wird ein anderes Brett angezeigt, andere Mitspieler oder die falschen gespielten Karten. Ebenso ist das wechseln zwischen den Partien ein Glücksspiel. Da starte ich öfters lieber neu und dann klappt es auch. ### 3/5 — Not working for me, though I know it would be great. *2017-10-25* Rating based on Digidiced’s great track record and the physical version of Cottage Garden. An easy 5 star if the app would work for me. It won’t show the garden boards and freezes if I go to grab a piece. **Developer response:** Hi, please check out the current version and let us know if you are still experiencing any issues. The garden boards have a large display during the player's turn and a small display during the game when the flowerpot on the left side is pressed. Garden boards are removed during the final round when they have less than 3 tiles or are completed. ### 3/5 — Needs a little more polish *2017-10-22* Tile laying needs to be more responsive. **Developer response:** Hi, thank you for the suggestion. The Developers have obviously abandoned the game but are still making money. Why does Apple let this game remain? Parts of the game are cutoff on the iPhone X. I sent a message to support and heard nothing back after several weeks. ### 2/5 — AI cheats! *2023-08-15* When I play against the medium level AI (Spike), I rarely win. I started to notice that Spike’s score is periodically added up incorrectly. This results in Spike getting more points than he should have. Could be much more enjoyable if the game design was streamlined and made use of the power of the computer to do the scoring. Tolles Spiel! ### 5/5 — A surprising challenge *2018-04-26* I was looking for a “different”sort of game when I stumbled on Flower Garden. I tried it and once I understood the rules, it became a daily challenge for me. Definitely a departure from match three and other typical game genres, and there is something about it that draws me in. At first, the rules seemed a bit cumbersome, but once I played a few games against the AI challengers, I got the hang of it. As typical, the AI games are stacked against you, but they offer a good way to practice strategic thinking and planning. The graphics are appealing and this game offers a nice daily game experience. Perhaps the developers might consider introducing alternative ‘mini-games’ to keep us interested and challenged. ### 5/5 — Beautiful game, in all areas! *2018-04-05* The game itself is beautiful, runs smooth, and is very relaxing to play. The game has been updated in response to levels of difficulty, which has made the game even more enjoyable. We will look into making it easier or making a new easy level. ### 5/5 — Parental gates?? *2017-11-15* Let me start by saying the game itself is a great port of the original missing only the solo version of the board game. But why do I have to do silly sums every time I want to access half of the options? My iPad has a start up code, requires the password for purchases and the kids don't touch it. Is a simple addition sum going to put kids off using it if they wanted? Even those not good at maths are likely to have access to a calculator. Update: I have been told these puzzles are required by Apple for the category of the game though they can be turned off. Re rated to 5 stars **Developer response:** Hi, we entered Cottage Garden in the Kids category. Apple demands that we build in riddles to keep the small preschool kids from entering options of their own. To disable these you can either click on the symbol to deactivate the PG entirely when it pops up or you can turn it off in the game options. Das Tutorial erklärt die Regeln gut und man findet schnell rein. Einziger Kritikpunkt: man kann die Ziffern (I, II und III) auf der Wertungstabelle so gut wie nicht erkennen - es wäre schön, wenn daran noch was gemacht werden würde! Once, then go see a Dice Games review on YouTube, then go through the tutorial again and it will make MUCH more sense. I have played 15 games just today and the app is very polished and the game is absolutely wonderful (and fun now that I know what I'm doing). Kind of similar to Patchwork but this is like Patchwork on steroids. Digidiced has knocked it out of the park on this one.
