## What is Couch Classics?

Couch Classics is a shelf of old board games, played by two people across a sofa or by one against the computer.

It began as a wish for a collection that is simple and good-looking, made for playing with a friend - without adverts interrupting a turn, and without the glitz that games this old have never needed.

These games have a history worth knowing, so each one has a short card: where it came from, what it is called elsewhere, and how it is played. It waits there until you are ready to play.

This is a beginning rather than a finished collection. Requests are genuinely welcome - a classic that is missing, or another way of playing one already here - and so are TestFlight testers: checking every rule of every game single-handed is a fair amount of work, and another pair of eyes before an update goes out is what lets me keep adding games.

I wish you many good games, alone and across the sofa. - JiSvis

Games in current version:
- Backgammon
- Checkers
- Chess
- Gomoku
- Mancala
- Nine Men's Morris
- Reversi
- Tic-Tac-Toe

Pass and play, on the one device. Each game keeps two unfinished boards - one against the computer, one against the player beside you - and both wait until you come back to them.

One game of your choice is free and stays yours, on every device signed in to your Apple Account. After that, any game can still be tested against AI Easy and be bought, if you want to fully unlock it.

Classic and modern themes to choose between. Classic puts each game in its own material and lays it on a table of wood, marble or concrete. Modern is the flat system look, with no table. Both follow the device into light or dark.

No ads, no tracking. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to subscribe to. The app carries no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and it sends nothing anywhere on its own - everything except buying a game works with the network switched off.
