Ich muss mir deshalb gezwungenermaßen eine andere App suchen. Sehr schade, da Couch glaube ich die beste Benutzererfahrung bietet (bis auf Sync). Ich habe bereits alles versucht: Apps neu installieren, “Validate and Fix” in den Einstellungen, nichts hilft. **Developer response:** Hi teespe, thank you! NmV ist aktuell nur eine (1) Ebene möglich, und eine weiteres „Verschachteln“ ist nicht möglich. **Developer response:** Hallo! Ich hätte gerne bei den intelligenten Sammlungen eine logische Verknüpfung (und/oder/nicht) und grundsätzlich die Möglichkeit sammlungen in Ordnern (und Unterordnern) zu gruppieren **Developer response:** Hallo! Viel Spaß beim Organisieren! ### 3/5 — Gutes Tool aber kritischer Stromverbrauch *2025-09-22* Couch gefällt mir als Ersatz für bekannte andere Lösungen wie Instapaper. Der Stromverbrauch der App im Idle ist allerdings extrem hoch. Unterwegs zieht es damit nicht nur den Akku vom MacBook leer, sondern lässt auch die Lüfter drehen, obwohl die App nur im Hintergrund sitzt. Das Problem muss unbedingt angegangen werden. **Developer response:** Hi! In den aktuellen Versionen haben wir den Stromverbrauch im Hintergrund deutlich verbessert. ### 3/5 — Keeps crashing *2025-07-09* The app (Pro version) keeps crashing every 30-40 seconds on both MacBook app v4.4 MacOS 15.5 and iPhone/iPad app v4.4 iOS 18.5. It is completely unusable. Please fix this. ### 4/5 — Ziemlich gut aber noch Luft nach oben *2025-05-30, version 4.2* - Pocket Import hat gut funktioniert. Die eigentlichen Artikel müssen aber neu geladen werden. Pocket rückt nur die Links raus, nicht aber die Artikel selbst. Dass die Artikel dann in der iCloud gespeichert und synchronisiert werden können, ist super. - Ein vollständiger Export wäre für die Zukunft gut. Sonst liegen die Daten wieder in einem Datengrab. - Links sollten noch editierbar werden, sodass man Artikel, die nicht mehr online verfügbar sind, von alternativen Quellen nachladen kann (z.B. Wayback Machine). - Textstellen-markieren wäre noch ein unabdingbares Feature. - Und eine übersichtliche Artikel-bearbeiten-Funktion wäre gut. Meta Daten wie Titel, Veröffentlichungsdatum, gespeichert-Datum, Artikel selbst (Markdown) - Und ein allgemeiner CSV-Import für Links aus anderen Quellen wäre genial. Dann kann ich auch noch meine wiederhergestellte Omnivore Linksammlung importieren. ### 5/5 — Edit: 29/05/2025 *2025-05-29* Edit: 29/05/2025. I’ve adjusted rating to reflect how far this app has come and how much I use and regard it as a stable must-have on all my devices. Amazing job by the developers and a great and easy migration assistance from the soon-to-be defunct Pocket. It all worked smoothly and just a literal one-button tap and all items migrated over. Fantastic work. The updates and overall fluidity, customisation, solidness, performance….i could go on but let’s just say it’s a no brainer app I always install on any and every new device etc. It’s come a long long long way since I got in on the early adopter time and even then you could tell it was greatness in the making. So developers, well done and thank you for this. It truly deserves its praise 👌. I’m a big fan of the one-time purchase, and it’s worth a lot more than the price tag. I have a looooot of pocket items, so the app has some stability issues, but aside from that it’s perfect ### 4/5 — Great! *2025-04-05* I use a free read-later apps and pocket is the one I used the longest and because of its integration with Mozilla it’s one of the only ones I can use no matter what platform or operating system I’m using (of which there are MANY 😂). However, I’m not a fan actually reading what I’ve saved on the Pocket app or website. I found several other solutions in the past but Couch is by far until superior option to enjoy reading content on! The UI is very cohesive & aesthetically pleasing (although I can suffer from some stuttering and crashing on occasion, but I’m OK with that considering it’s a one time purchase rather than yet another subscription and it’s a side project for the 2 developers - additionally these are just minor nitpick not things that make it actively difficult to use the app). Overall I am very pleased with the money spent on this app and I have yet to actually to a lot of the features available. Kudos to the developers and I look forward seeing future progress. 👏🏻 Just a couple of future requests I have are some more font options as well as just a few more customizations for the reader mode (possibly a grey or a darker sepia variant) to complement the dark theme. And I have only just started using the iCloud function for savings as a premium number, but I’m intrigued. Overall, like it’s absolutely super superior to reading content over the actual mobile pocket app and I think that it’s definitely packing a lot of quality considering the price. Bei freien Artikeln kann man Glück haben. Ist aber auch hier keine Garantie. Sehr schade. ### 2/5 — Poorly coded - still the best option *2025-01-18* Atrociously coded by an obviously unexperienced developer with little attention for detail. This should still be in Alpha stage. It’s slow, heavy and buggy as crazy. 'Home’ section is a nice idea with incredibly poor UX/UI. No developer with any self esteem would have released this in its current state… And yet, there is VERY SADLY no better option for a Mac client for Pocket. So we stick with this as our developer hopefully learns his trade a little better and can improve this app… or someone else makes a better coded client. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Critical Bugs *2026-04-23, version 5.5* Library → Tags Selecting "Tagged" or "Untagged" crashes the app consistently on both macOS and iOS (latest versions). Collections Two separate issues: iOS: Dragging a collection onto a collections folder causes the collection to disappear. macOS: Collections cannot be dragged onto folders at all. Reordering collections via drag-and-drop works, indicating incomplete implementation. Performance & Responsiveness App launch displays a spinning beach ball. Clicking "Unread" initiates multiple article downloads. UI becomes responsive only after selecting items, despite sustained 60–70% CPU usage throughout. Stable connection, no VPN. Occurs on MacBook Air M2, macOS 26.4.1. ### 1/5 — Not working *2025-12-14, version 5.2.2* This app is not working upon share and then tap on twilar it is not saving anything ### 1/5 — Pro Kauf nicht mehr gültig *2025-10-24* Eigentlich nutze ich Couch sehr gerne und von Beginn der App an. Nun habe ich meinen damals gekauften Lifetime Pro-Status verloren und soll erneut 14,99 Euro für das Freischalten der Pro Features zahlen. Wenn ich versuche, den vorherigen In-App Kauf wiederherzustellen, wird mir von Couch gesagt, dass es keine vorherigen Käufe gäbe. **Developer response:** Bitte auf 4.5.1 updaten. Hängt sich leider immer wieder auf :( ### 1/5 — Einfach unglaublich … - eigentlich null Sterne *2025-01-12* Auf dem iPad Pro 12' stürzt die App immer in dem Moment ab, in dem man den im EINGANG abgelegten Text lesen möchte. - Nahezu 10 € in den Sand gesetzt. Wirklich: Eine App, die ihre Aufgabe eben nicht erledigt, hatte ich noch nie. (Eine Rückforderung des bezahlten Betrages wurde abgewiesen. Not syncing at all, nothing saves and it isn’t communicating with Pocket. Have requested a refund. **Developer response:** Your issues have nothing to do with Couch Pro. Pocket has changed their API and it seems they have had some server issues over the past few days as well. Unfortunately, the API change is affecting Couch and libraries are not able to sync properly. An update that fixes this is on the way. ### 1/5 — Extremely buggy *2024-06-19* I was so excited to find a slick polished app for Pocket. This app had a lot going for it and seemed to satisfy my requirements. But it is extraordinarily buggy and unreliable. Just opening the app seems to crash it. After you let it crash a few times, it finally comes up and there is w sync spinner which never stops. I wish I could use this app, but alas it doesn't work enough of the time to really be a replacement for Pocket. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Toller Webclipper *2026-07-29* Webclips werden von unnötigem Ballast befreit, lesbar gemacht und Couch kann sogar PDF-Dateien verwalten. Dazu noch die Synchronisation über die iCloud und die Möglichkeit des Lizenzerwerbs über einen preislich fairen Einmalkauf. Ein tolles und empfehlenswertes Angebot für Leute wie mich, die um Softwareabos einen weiten Bogen machen und einen funktionsreichen Webclipper brauchen. ### 5/5 — Lovely designed *2026-05-15* Thanks for continuing to work on Couch! **Developer response:** Thank you for the detailed report. The tags crash was fixed in the latest update. For collections, you can use the "Move to" option in the item's context menu to place a collection into a folder. When articles are added or imported, Couch downloads and extracts their content so they load instantly and work offline. Depending in the amount of items, this initial process keeps the CPU busy for a while – everything runs on-device, with no server-side processing. Unfortunately it is a bit slower when opening up articles. Background play for videos would be my one wish. The free version is already great, while the Pro features are a relatively inexpensive upgrade. The developer was quick to fix a bug I reported, and even shares his Trello board publicly, so you can see what he’s working on.
