## What is Couch X Crawler?

Couch x Crawler is a premium idle RPG where your hero keeps adventuring even when you are not playing.

Ever wonder what your RPG hero does while you are busy. In this game, they keep exploring dungeons, fighting battles, and gathering loot while you live your life. Start an expedition, close the app, and return to real progress shaped by your choices. This is not a tap-heavy grind. It is built for busy days, low-energy moments, and players who still want meaningful progression.

===========================
Passive Progression. Active Strategy.
===========================
Your hero advances in the background, but your decisions still matter. Choose weapons like Sword, Sarcasm, or Coffee Blade. Equip perks such as Socially Anxious or Too Honest. Select consumables and expedition lengths from quick runs to multi-hour adventures. Loadouts directly affect success rates, rewards, and long-term growth.

Mini games now earn experience and can be played during expeditions. Turn them on in settings and continue progressing even while your hero is away.

=====================
Level Up and Grow Stronger.
=====================
Gain experience from expeditions and care actions. Discover relics. Track every journey in a detailed expedition codex. This is a game designed for steady, long-term progression.

===================
Care for Your Companion.
===================
Your hero is not just a unit. Feed them, let them rest, boost their mood, and keep their stats balanced. Neglect causes decay, but you are given time to recover. If disaster strikes, revival items let you continue without losing everything.

=============================
See Progress Without Opening the App.
=============================
Live Activities and Dynamic Island support let you check expedition progress from your Lock Screen. Watch your hero move through dungeons and monitor their status at a glance.

=============
Built for Real Life.
=============
Start a run before doing dishes. Send your hero out before running errands. Come back later to see how your strategy played out.

### 5/5 — A blind dungeon crawler

*2026-07-15*

First of all I love this game. I really enjoy the accessibility improvements that I’ve been included. It’s very well done. A couple of things though. When upgrading the equipment and perks in the store, I don’t know if there’s any improvements that I can actively see with VoiceOver. It doesn’t look like any changes to the values of the perks don’t change, and it seems like the weapons still break after every mission. It would be cool to see what perks you’d get with each upgrade. Also, I know this isn’t really about stats very much, but it would be cool to see the type of build that your character has in more detail if you wanted to see that. Maybe adding some more classes as well, like a barred or something, who has more charisma for the skeletons and other creatures. I think another thing to add is that I wish the memory card game would slow down a little, because the cards being in a grid makes it a little difficult for a screen reader user to look at. You have to orient yourself on the screen, and that can be hard. And given that there’s only a few seconds between the cards disappearing, and showing back up, even in the screen reader, setting, it isn’t enough time to truly understand where all the cards are. Not to cheat, but like maybe a minute to two minutes to look at the screen, and then have to find the cards. Also, the crawler in the Tic Tac toe game is impossible to beat. There’s no way to win that game, without it being a draw. At least from all the angles I’ve played it at, which is pretty much all of them at this point. Maybe there’s a way that you could make it a bit dumber. Lol. It will be cool to also have a dice roller type of game, where you roll a dice, or spin a wheel, and that number determines how many crawler coins you get, say like 100 times whatever you rolled. Or 50 if you wanna make it a little harder to get a lot of coins. I think that’s all the ideas and suggestions I have, and I just wanted to say thank you for making the game. It’s a lot of fun, and makes the RPG concept a little bit simpler, which is really nice for people who don’t want a giant game to laboriously plunge through. The accessibility improvements are invaluable. I can’t wait to see what else you come up with for this game.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for this thoughtful feedback! I’ll promise to implement what I can. This is very helpful.

### 5/5 — Best, Accessible Idle, on store!

*2026-05-28*

My YouTube channel is Game Double Tap. Amazing idle! Simple, fun, entertaining, good time killer. I enjoy this game, as part of my morning ritual of coffee and breakfast. The addition of music, ambience and volume controls are most awesome! Thank you! I appreciate Tristan for including accessibility, deeper gameplay elements and for clarifying game elements. Keep going! For my wish list…an equippable hero. Gender selection. SFX channel separators. So i can increase the button selection use with voiceover and make incremental changes. Thank you, so much for the new sliders. They are very welcome. I’d love to see more status ailments, like the mimic. Npcs would be welcome. Maybe some corporate shills! I’m loving where the development of CXC is going! If anyone is looking to hear my gameplay, swing over to my YT channel. Thank you!

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for the feedback. I just saw your YouTube video. I subbed to your channel also. The video was extremely helpful. I’m definitely listening to your feedback and will try to release it in the next big update.

### 5/5 — Let’s Circle Back To Why This Game Is Incredible

*2026-05-13*

I’m no stranger to long, grindy RPG sessions and this game isn’t trying to replace those. I treat it as more of a palette cleanser for when I’m ready to clock out.

For me, I found the perfect balance in sending my hero off on a run just as I was flipping my Slack status to Online. I’d go about my workday while he handled his business, and once I signed off and checked in, it turns out we’d both had quite the day. The difference is he got to face his with a Coffee Blade and the Socially Anxious perk. I just had back to back meetings.

What kept me coming back wasn’t just the progression though, it was the excitement of what silly thing I’d uncover next. Instead of reaching for my phone to doom scroll, I’d find myself thinking “let me check what my little hero got into.” New perks, funny side quests, unexpected antics from an expedition I’d forgot I’d even started. It turns idle time into something genuinely delightful.

Moving on, the humor deserves its own performance review, and if you know office life, you know how big of a deal it is to be exceeding expectations. The wordplay is effortless in a way that makes you wish you’d thought of it first. It’s not trying hard, it just lands. It’s the kind that makes you look up from your phone mid-commute and genuinely laugh at your office job for once, except I work from home and only have my cat to share this joy with.

No ads and a one time purchase should already sell you. Everything else is just the signing bonus you never actually got. But it was still exciting.

### 3/5 — Review

*2026-02-25*

The dynamic island doesn't really work good for me, and the gameplay besides mini games is boring.

**Developer response:** Appreciate you taking the time to leave this review. I’m actively working on a fix for Dynamic Island and live activities as I type this.

### 5/5 — Tamagotchi mixed with D&D

*2026-02-12*

This game is like having a tamagotchi that goes on quests and is a cute wizard. I love the mini games and sending him on adventures! I am not much of a gamer but I have fun with this no pressure game.

### 5/5 — Ultimate Casual Game

*2026-02-05*

This game is a massive upgrade from my toxic relationship with duolingo. No tricks, no pressure, no commitments, no learning.

Just pure gaming at its best. I love the widget feature, witty design, and my ability to play at my own pace.

### 5/5 — Fun and Relaxing!

*2026-02-04*

Really enjoy Couch X Crawler! It’s a chill dungeon crawler where your hero runs around while you do your thing. The passive gameplay is perfect for quick check-ins, and the pixel art is charming. Great little game to relax with!
