## What is Countdown · Days Until Event?

Countdown shows the time left until everything you're looking forward to: vacations, birthdays, weddings, concerts, Christmas… down to the second.

ADD YOUR DATES IN SECONDS

• Repeat every week, month or year for birthdays and holidays
• Suggestions for the big days of the year
• Import straight from your Calendar

NEVER MISS A THING
• Reminders at the time of the event, the day before or a week before, even several at once
• A live countdown on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island
• A Home Screen widget to see what's next at a glance
• Siri: "How long until Christmas?"

COUNT THE TIME SINCE, TOO
Quitting smoking, the day you met, a birth… Counters show the time elapsed since a date and celebrate every milestone: 100 days, 1 year…

### 1.1 — 2026-10-27

Countdown gets into the holiday spirit!

• 100+ holidays from around the world, picked for your country: Christmas, New Year, Diwali, Hanukkah, Lunar New Year, Valentine's Day… Add them in one tap from "Upcoming holidays".
• Animated themes with Countdown+: snow, fireworks, hearts, lanterns… on each countdown, in widgets and on the images you share.
• Advent calendar: one surprise a day, from December 1 to 24, in your Christmas countdown.
• Keepsake photo: take a photo with your countdown and send it to the people you love.
• New Year's Eve: the last seconds in full screen, then fireworks.
• Little celebrations 30 days, 7 days and 1 day before, and when every to-do is ticked off.
• Optimized for iPhone Duo: two columns on the big inner display.
• Fixes: clearer Live Activity, widgets that stop at zero, counters that no longer show "Finished".
