A companion app for the 2020 Digimon TCG. Don't have a playmat or Memory Gauge cards? Don't have a coin or a dice on you to decide who goes first in a game? Even if you do, aren't you tired of poor analogic solutions to keep track of your Memory Gauge? The cards at the center of the table move too much, and the numbers on the playmat aren't obvious behind that giant, ugly dice. Countermon is the solution. It's a beautifully designed app with big buttons and big numbers. Super easy to use during a game — when your hands are full of cards — and super easy to customize. REMOTE PLAY Play with a shared Memory Gauge across two devices. Create a remote match, share the code with your opponent, and keep the game synced while each player uses their own phone. Hosting a Remote Play match requires a Countermon Plus subscription—opponents join for free. COOL VISUALS Countermon has been designed with a lot of care and a lot of love for the details in the User Interface. CUSTOMISABLE GAMES You can choose player names and colors to make it yours while playing. Are you playing a yellow deck against a red deck? Choose red and yellow in the initial settings to make your game yours. MOVE AND MATCH HISTORY Review all your moves in a current or past match with the Match History feature. Quickly view at all the important stats of a match, like average turn duration by player, or memory used. The moves are also timestamped and color coded for a more easy review of what happened at every match you played. WHO GOES FIRST? Countermon has a built-in “coin flip” mechanism at the beginning of every game to decide who goes first. Did you win the coin toss but still don’t want to go first? There’s also an option for that right on the results screen. GREAT EXPERIENCE You can place your phone at the center of the table or by the side where your decks are. Or use Remote Play to play across two phones from wherever you are. As long as each player can easily reach their controls, Countermon is the best solution to track your Memory in a game. Not Visual Basic. Just Basic from the 80s. Hope you have a good laugh at that, you pr!ck. Look at their comments here. Look at what they are charging for what is essentially a counter. This is an app that can count up, and down. That’s it. I downloaded this, and then immediately deleted it without ever launching it. I got a good laugh out of that one. ### 1/5 — Ads before every game. *2023-02-05* These guys really trying to sell ads for an app running on Windows Powerpoint. **Developer response:** Hi Eshelbro. After a lot of testing both on the design stage and the development stage we found that an ad before every game was really not that big of a deal. Matches of the Digimon TCG can easily last more than 10 minutes, and the ads we show are 30 to 60 seconds long. After all, we’re doing this in our free time, and keeping the app in the App Store alone costs a yearly fee. If you feel you can’t enjoy Countermon because of the ads, feel free to purchase the ad-free experience in the Support Us section. The PowerPoint joke was great by the way. Our developer — who programmed the app with all of his love and care for the craft — really had a big laugh with that one. Funny!
