### 2/5 — Not impressed

*2026-08-15*

Not finding this app user friendly at all. Not visually obvious which challenges I’m currently in. Still not able to see own progress, stats or ranking, or team’s.

### 3/5 — Random

*2026-06-21, version 1.4.0*

Completely arbitrary points scores for activities.

### 2/5 — Stop asking to rate the app

*2026-03-04, version 1.1.79*

App is fine but every time I open it it asks me to rate the app.

### 2/5 — Not very good

*2026-02-28*

It suddenly stopped connecting to my fitness tracker and won’t load the tracker screen for me to resync, even after I deleted it and reinstalled.

### 4/5 — Trouble syncing

*2026-01-17*

In all fairness, it could be my phone or Apple health, but I’m pretty decent when it comes to technology. I’m having a heck of a time getting count it to pair with my tracking device. Kinda defeats the purpose to have to do manual entries.

### 4/5 — Doesn’t count all steps

*2025-08-20*

It doesn’t add in all y steps from my Fitbit. It only shoes half the number I took. Have done all the trouble shooting and nothing fixes it.

### 2/5 — Inconsistent double counting and bad UX

*2025-07-27*

Why running only counts as steps at 4 pts for every 10 but tennis and pickleball get 100 points per minute PLUS steps is beyond me. Makes no sense. Also the constant individual adding of the wellness activities is frustrating. Takes so long that I end up being on my phone more than normal because the app interface is not efficient. It’s also not an intuitive interface. Plus the tracker connection isn’t always correct. And if it misreads my fitness app, there is no ability to correct. All in all. Not a great app.

**Developer response:** Hi there - I'm sorry you had a frustrating experience. A few quick notes:
-> The points conversion for your challenge was determined by your admins, and was not the standard Count. It points conversion that applies to all of our other challenges.
-> Crediting users for activity in "combination" challenges that include both exercise and daily steps is tricky, and we understand your complaint. The problem is we don't want to count both steps and exercise across the board, as this would dramatically favor people who do step-intensive exercises like running or walking. Our current approach is to credit those activities based on steps. We are working on an upgrade that will actually "de-dupe" steps logged during exercise sessions. This is a highly complex process, and I am not aware of any other platforms that manage it. We are excited to release it.
->We launched our "wellness goals" feature this spring. The original concept was that there would be only one or two "bonus" goals per day, so the need for "multi-select" was not apparent. Again, your challenge admins added more than 20 per day which brings up the need for more efficient logging. We are also working on that.
->I believe our tracker connections and integrations are the best in the world. Because of the multiple hops involved in any sync process, it's never 100% perfect.
->If you feel that Count. It misread the data in your fitness app, please contact our support team. Also, any data point added to Count. It can be corrected. Sometimes this requires a correction on the source device, but all data can be corrected, or at least deleted and re-sync'd.

### 2/5 — Not user friendly

*2025-07-10*

Too many clicks to get to the content I routinely need to use or to log activities. Having to type in start and end times for everything is a huge pain. Difficult if not impossible to see team standings.

**Developer response:** Hi there - I'm sorry you found the UI frustrating. We've taken note of your issues. The only one that seems odd is that it's difficult to see team standings. Teams are displayed on the main challenge page in bright purple, rounded rectangles. Clicking on the team "icon" reveals all members of the team. Did. you see that?

### 3/5 — Entering steps manually

*2025-06-12*

When steps are added manually, they overwrite existing steps. It does not add them to what has been captured. Which isn’t a huge deal, but it would have been nice to know that before adding manual steps. (Ex: add 500 steps manually to 3250 already captured and the system, the system now only has 500, not 3,750.

**Developer response:** Hi there - This is great feedback, and thanks. We're working on updating that piece of the UI.

### 2/5 — Not really compatible with Garmin

*2025-06-04, version 1.0.59*

The app doesn’t sync with my Garmin. It doesn’t stay synced so a lot of steps are not being tracked.

### 2/5 — Difficult to add points for lifting weights, yoga, etc

*2025-04-22, version 1.0.56*

Found a step conversion chart online. Need to add to app the following day and add to the steps it captured in your day. Very cumbersome and manual

### 1/5 — Clunky app with no way to manually track workouts

*2025-04-20*

I would like to manually track my workouts because I do a lot of yoga and swimming and things that no pedometer can track. I have no fitbit or smartwatch or garmin, so I have to enter all these workouts on my apple Health app, which is terrible and slow in its own interface, and then I must sync it to CountIt, often manually. I only use the CountIt app to try to accumulate points for my company’s wellness program, but believe me, if there was no incentive, I would definitely not use CountIt. It wastes so much time to get data into it.

**Developer response:** Hi there,

Good news: The Count. It app absolutely DOES have a manual data entry form, and this has been available to all of our groups and challenges for...years. That said, it may be that your admin has turned OFF that feature. I would recommend inquiring with the admin to see if it can be turned back on.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t sync in anything close to real time

*2025-03-10*

This app really has issues. No one in my challenge has their steps accurately displayed. Sometimes it takes hours for the app to sync with our trackers—so what’s the point of a competition if you have no idea where you fall in the race?! Someone in my group said all her steps were just wiped out all together!
I’ve reached out for help and the responses do not solve the issues we’re having.

### 1/5 — Tracker connected but all points deleted

*2025-03-09, version 1.0.53*

Tracker connected but all points deleted at end of challenge. I’m very competitive and connected Apple Health to seamlessly log activity points. After time change, all my activity was removed from Count. It app. This app does have access to all of my Apple Health data too btw

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Unable to sync

*2026-08-15, version 1.9.1*

All the time it just loses the ability to sync, no one responds to on the help desk. Very disappointing

### 1/5 — Awful App

*2026-06-04, version 1.3.0*

Non-intuitive placement, nonsensical organization, and difficult to see progress

### 1/5 — Hard to use

*2026-05-04, version 1.1.87*

It’s counterintuitive, hard to sync some activities and see how your team is performing

### 1/5 — Tracker

*2026-02-18, version 1.1.78*

The app is not counting all my steps from the Apple health app. It is off by approximately 500 steps every day

### 1/5 — Difficult

*2026-01-13, version 1.1.76*

The app is not user friendly

### 1/5 — Would be 5 stars if it worked

*2025-10-10, version 1.1.69*

I keep getting the error « invalid dates » I’ve tried multiple different challenge types

### 1/5 — Not good

*2025-09-30*

It’s supposed to sync with Apple and Samsung. When it downloads it only gives you the option for Apple and Garmin but then once you sign into Apple, it shows you a thumbnail for Garmin even though that’s not what you’re using. It also doesn’t sync with. My friends Samsung phone, he had to manually put in his stuff then once he got it to sync my stuff didn’t work. This isn’t even beta good

### 1/5 — Update hover positioning

*2025-08-01, version 1.1.63*

Please make it so that counter updates don’t hover over the button to add activities — makes it very frustrating.

### 1/5 — Not accurate

*2025-06-17, version 1.0.60*

You can easy fudge numbers with the Apple health watch or this app so if a group is doing a challenge a lot of people are adding ridiculous large amount of steps to gain points to be at the top.

### 1/5 — Terrible UX

*2025-06-01, version 1.0.59*

The app misses the mark in many key areas. Too many auto generated texts, there is not easy way to compare all contestants. The “race track” graphic is poorly designed

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2026-05-04, version 1.1.87*

We’ve used Count. It for our office step challenge, and the app has been great, but what really stands out is the support from the developers. They’re responsive, helpful, and genuinely care about user feedback!

### 5/5 — Best fitness challenge app that supports both steps and workouts

*2025-11-28, version 1.1.73*

Thank you to the developers that quickly resolved the bug I was experiencing!

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2025-10-25, version 1.1.70*

I personally think Count. It challenges are an incredible, affordable way to get co-workers talking to each other, and moving more. It’s work culture magic!

### 5/5 — Every Step Counts Towards a Better YOU!

*2025-07-10, version 1.1.63*

I’ve been using the Count. It Journey app for Healthiest CIO Challenge at work and I absolutely love it. It’s fun, easy to use, and gives me the extra push to move more each day. Whether I am walking , dancing or chasing my kid around the house the app keeps me motivated and accountable. Step by Step I’m Leveling Up My Wellness Game! If you’re looking for a fun way to stay active and track your progress, this app is a must have! Getting Fit has never felt so rewarding! 💪🏾🎯📲

### 5/5 — So easy to use

*2025-06-06*

Enjoying the journey

### 5/5 — Great

*2025-04-28, version 1.0.57*

Friendly competition with my colleagues that promoted health and wellness is always a plus!

### 5/5 — User friendly!

*2024-10-08, version 0.1.41*

We’ve been at this for more than a decade, and learned a lot from our users. The new Count. It Journey app is the most advanced and engaging challenge app on the market. I’d recommend it to groups of any size looking to build a healthy culture and promote team bonding.

### 5/5 — Got me super motivated

*2024-02-14*

Admittedly, I’m a very competitive person. So I really liked seeing how I was beating my coworkers. And even though I didn’t come in first, I loved knowing how far away the finish line was. WAY BETTER than the internal HR driven program at my last firm. Having a great app changes the game.

### 5/5 — Love the app and competition!!!

*2023-12-20, version 0.1.18*

I love love LOVE how simple and functional the app is— but even more, I LOVE how the competition angle spurred me on to get my butt moving as much as possible! I can be a little lazy— but good friendly competition and the whole set-up was super motivating. Fun, easy, and motivating— what more can you ask for!?

### 5/5 — Perfect for people who don’t like fitness apps

*2023-12-17*

The Count It app required zero work on my part to get it to keep track of my activity and the interface actually worked to motivate me to destroy my [friendly] competition. Highly recommended!
