## What is Country Counter?

Count your days in each country. Keep an editable travel history and calculate Schengen 90/180 days from your recorded stays.

Abroad Days combines manual stays and optional automatic country estimates in one editable travel history. Review country totals for this year or all time, scan a monthly flag calendar, and correct any arrival or departure date.

• View recorded country-day totals
• Browse each month in a flag calendar
• Opt in to sparse iOS location updates that estimate countries and travel dates
• Review, edit, or replace automatic estimates
• Add a manual stay with country and dates
• Use the optional Schengen 90/180 counter and future-trip check
• Import or export plain CSV
• Keep history in the iPhone's local database with no account
• Use manual mode without location access

Automatic history is an estimate. iOS controls background delivery, so observations can be late or missing near borders, while Location Services are unavailable, while the phone is off, or after you force-quit the app. Reopen the app after a force-quit. Approximate location adds uncertainty. The current or last recorded country can be stale.

History is stored in the app's local iPhone database and may be included in standard iPhone backups. Abroad Days has no developer location backend; iOS geocoding may send location data to Apple. Outside standard backups, recorded history leaves the app only when you explicitly export or share a CSV.

Country totals describe recorded history, not proven presence. Abroad Days performs date arithmetic only. It does not determine tax residence, immigration status, authorized stay, or legal compliance and is not legal or tax advice. Visa conditions can be stricter than the generic 90/180 calculation. Check important decisions against current official guidance.
