But, my version of the app is missing the Back button, so I have to keep closing and restarting the app. ### 2/5 — Buffering issues *2022-02-20, version 1.0.16* Great app when it’s not stuck buffering. I’m surprised I can’t do anything with this app. Such a shame! ### 2/5 — Missing the sort by due date? *2019-12-17* Did they take away the “sort by due date” option in the checked out materials? It used to have it in the old version and also highlighted the entire area in red when an item was due. Was a very helpful feature. Just updated and no accessibility to my account. ### 1/5 — Can’t Reinstall/Couldn’t Log In *2024-01-29* The app used to work wonderfully, but a while ago all of a sudden it wouldn’t recognize my log in credentials. Those same credentials work fine on my desktop computer. At the time I spoke with my local branch and they told me that there was known issues with the app. I tried intermittently to log in and failed every time. Today I contacted my local branch again. They asked me if the app was up to date (it is), and if I’d tried deleting and reinstalling it. I hadn’t tried that, so I deleted it and attempted to reinstall it from the App Store. It won’t reinstall, the download progress arrow spins for a few seconds and then goes away. What gives? ### 1/5 — Cant connect after new update *2022-12-13, version 2022.1.6* New update broke app. Can’t connect ### 1/5 — Worse than ever! *2022-12-08* Doesn’t show reading history. Takes a very long time to populate the loan list. Whoever is creating/maintaining this app is doing a terrible job. Please fix ASAP!! **Developer response:** Hello, The Reading History will show up in the CountyCat Mobile app only after you opt into that feature using CountyCat on a web browser. The other thing I would recommend is not logging out of the app but then doing a hard restart of your phone or device. Often that helps. Thanks so much. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2022-10-22* Every update is worse than the last. Not sure why they invested resources in creating this new, “improved” app but it was a waste. Stupid things like shutting off music when opening the app (why??) to important things like being able to search the catalog or easily access a listing of what items you have checked out. Nothing works. The only decent thing about it is the ability to scan your library card barcode from the app, but it’s 2022 so that should be a given anyway. ### 1/5 — Old app worked, new app doesn’t *2022-07-25* I get an error msg saying “ Unable to connect to server. Please make sure you have a network connection and then try again” Try again **Developer response:** Our library system experienced an outage on Monday July 25, 2022 that corresponding with our app going live. We hope you'll give it another chance and see the improvements. Thank you for your feedback too. ### 1/5 — Poor *2022-07-25* Extremely poor update for a perfectly working app. It freezes, forgets my login, and does not work well otherwise. Why? **Developer response:** Thanks for stopping by and giving input. We hope you will give the app another chance as we think the issues you had on this day tied back to our transition off the former app to this new one. We appreciate you using our public libraries. ### 1/5 — Freezes *2022-07-13, version 1.0.16* Works only 50% of the time. I hope the update the week of July 18, 2022 will fix the issues. ### 1/5 — Freezing *2022-06-27, version 1.0.16* It freezes every time I try to go into the app. I have to restart my phone just to get it working again. Super simple. Can search and request holds. All I need 🥰 ### 5/5 — I love this app! *2023-01-18* Ok, so sometimes it takes me a while to find what I’m looking for but this app basically puts the library at my fingertips. I can check on my account, renew a book, put others on hold and more. The app links to all sorts of resources including Hoopla and Libby while offering magazines and newspapers for online reading. Sure, there are glitches and need for improvement but the total package is AMAZING! ### 5/5 — Holds - renewals - searching *2022-11-07* So simple to search for books, put them on hold and see your account. Be sure and delete the old one first before installing. You will then need to log in again. Well worth it. ### 4/5 — Wonderful App *2023-07-23* Wonderful app but requires some UX improvements. During the daytime it’s fine and will let me log in, but if I’m trying to put books on hold at night, forget it.
