## What is Couple Moments?

Couple Moments is a small, private place for two.

Pick how you feel, add a few words, and it's on your partner's phone in seconds — on their home screen, their lock screen and their wrist.

JUST THE TWO OF YOU No accounts, no profiles, no feed, no strangers. You invite one person, and that's who your couple is. Everything lives in your own iCloud — we never see any of it.

SAY IT HOWEVER YOU LIKE Choose from feelings like In love, Missing you or Just wanna say — or invent your own with any emoji you want. Custom feelings are shared, so your partner can use them too. Add a message, a photo, a video, a Memoji or a sticker. Or take a picture there and then — it goes straight to them and is kept nowhere else, not even in your photo library.

OPEN ON WHAT MATTERS TODAY The home screen answers what's true right now: today's anniversary, birthday or plans, the last thing your partner sent, how long you've been together, and what's coming up. Choose how far ahead it looks — a day, a week or a month.

ASK EACH OTHER SOMETHING Ask a question and get an answer back, either from a few options you set or in their own words. One question each at a time, so it stays a conversation rather than a list of things owed.

SHOW THEM WHERE YOU ARE Tap "I'm here" and your moment carries the place with it. Your partner sees the map right in the chat and can open it in Maps. Location is only ever taken the moment you send — never in the background.

ON YOUR HOME SCREEN AND LOCK SCREEN Widgets in every size show your partner's latest feeling, so you see it without opening anything. Another counts the days you've been together.

ON YOUR WRIST The Apple Watch app shows what they just sent and lets you send a feeling straight back.

MAKE IT YOURS Give yourself a nickname, choose your own bubble and background colours, and set the app to dark, light, or whatever your phone is doing.

PLAN THINGS TOGETHER AND SEE THE HISTORY AT A GLANCE A Calendar to browse your whole history month by month and tap any day to see what happened. Add plans — dinner, a trip, a booking — with a place, a time and a reminder. Search for the location the way you would in Calendar, and open it in Maps later.

REMEMBER THE DAYS THAT MATTER Set the day you got together and add both your birthdays. You're each reminded the day before and on the morning itself, and the day is marked above your moments when it arrives.

CALL EACH OTHER OR LEAVE A VIDEO MESSAGE AS MOMENT Add the number or Apple ID you take FaceTime calls on, and a FaceTime tab appears for your partner. Audio or video, one tap. Can't reach them? Record a short video from the FaceTime tab and it arrives as a moment, with the video attached.

SHARE FROM PHOTOS Couple Moments appears in the share sheet. Send a photo or video without opening the app first.

Couple Moments needs iCloud and two people. That's all.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.8 — 2026-09-21

Seeing each other again
• A plan can be marked as the day the two of you are in the same place again. It takes a day rather than an hour and carries no alert — nobody needs reminding an hour before about the thing they have been counting the months to. What it gets instead is a widget: where you are meeting, how many days are left, and a small figure with a suitcase making its way along the line between the two of you. Say whether you are coming by plane, train, car or bike, and that is what the calendar shows beside the day.

Three new widgets
• Ask Me — the question waiting on you, with the last few answers underneath. If it came with answers to choose from, tap one and it is sent without opening the app.
• Bucket List — what you still mean to do, with anything already planned at the top.
• Meeting Again — the countdown above.
• Every widget now takes the colours you picked, and opens the tab it came from when you tap it.

Two more palettes
• Sunset and Meadow, under the two that were already there, each with an app icon of its own. Violet and Blue are now Aurora and Ocean. And once you have changed a colour by hand, resetting goes back to the palette you started from rather than to the one the app ships with.

Easier to change your mind
• A moment and a bucket list item now carry a pencil, the way a question always has, and every editor ends with a way to delete the thing you are looking at. Nothing has to be discovered by swiping at it any more.

Also
• The timeline says which day you are reading: Today, Yesterday, the weekday within the week, and the date beyond it.
• The home screen reads as sections. Today means the day itself; Latest is whatever has come in.
• A question you only tapped into can be left alone again — the keyboard has a way out.
• Ticking something off the bucket list no longer announces itself twice.

### 1.7 — 2026-09-11

A bucket list
• A shared list of things you want to do together, in a tab of its own. Either of you can add to it, reorder it, or tick something off — and ticking something off puts it in the timeline for both of you five minutes later, in case the tap was a mistake. Untick it inside that time, or after, and it goes again.
• An item can become a plan: tap its calendar button and the new event arrives with the title already written. An event can pick up an item the same way, so the plan and the reason for it are never two separate things.

Colours of your own
• Two palettes to start from, Violet and Blue, with everything in them still yours to change: the background behind the whole app, the two colours every banner, button and icon is drawn between, and each of your chat bubbles. Light and dark keep their own background.
• The app icon can follow the palette you pick.

Calling, where you want it
• FaceTime gave up its tab to the bucket list and moved to the home screen — as a card, or as buttons beside the add button, whichever you choose in Settings. Recording a video message sits with them.

Questions and answers, kept
• Answering a question leaves it in the timeline, the question and the answer together, so it is still there weeks later when the Ask me tab has moved on.

Also
• You are told when your partner adds a plan or something to the bucket list. Settings can turn that off.
• An evening that has already happened stops asking to be arranged: no new questions, nothing new off the list, and a question about it that was never answered leaves the home screen.

### 1.6 — 2026-09-09

Photos of each other
• The picture you set of your partner now reaches their phone, and the picture of you is the one they chose. It shows on the FaceTime tab, beside their name everywhere, on the couple sheet and on questions.

Ask about a plan
• An event can carry a question. Add it when you create the plan or any time after, and it appears on the Ask me tab like any other — except it does not use up your one open question, it stays on your home screen until it is answered, and it moves with the event if you reschedule.

Add a plan to your calendar
• An event can be added to your own calendar, or sent on as a calendar file to someone who does not have the app.

Also
• New moments and questions show a badge on their tab.
• The home screen leads somewhere: tap a moment for the timeline, a question for Ask me, an anniversary for that day in the calendar.
• Chat bubbles are a soft gradient of your own colour.
• A question waiting for an answer keeps showing the choices you offered.

### 1.5 — 2026-09-05

A gallery
• Every photo and video you have sent each other, three to a row, from the new button beside the + on Moments. Tap one to open it.

Your partner's photo
• Add a picture of your partner under the couple button, and frame it the way you want it. It shows on the FaceTime tab and beside their name everywhere else. It stays on your phone - your partner never sees it.

Photos full screen
• Open a photo full screen from the button in its corner, or by pinching it. Zoom in, move around, and swipe down to close.

Also
• The widget shows the photo, or the place, beside the message instead of under it.
• Take back a question you asked, before or after it is answered — swipe left on it in Ask me.
• Questions show who asked them.
• The colours in Settings are easier to judge, and text sizes across the app now follow your phone's setting together.

### 1.4 — 2026-08-28

A home screen
• Open the app on what's true right now: today's anniversary, birthday or plans, your partner's latest moment, how long you've been together, and what's coming up.
• Choose how far ahead to look — a day, a week or a month — in Settings.

Ask me
• Ask your partner a question and get an answer back, either from a few options you set or in their own words.
• One question each at a time, and five minutes to change your mind about a question or an answer.
• Questions appear on the day they were asked in the calendar, and on your home screen while they're waiting.

Take a picture
• A camera in the new-moment sheet. What you take goes straight to your partner with whatever you've written, and is kept nowhere else — never in your photo library.
• Switch between the front and back camera, for a video message too.

Also
• Pinch to zoom a photo full screen.
• The app opens in dark now, with Light and Auto in Settings.
• A dark home screen icon.
• Photos, videos and maps fill their bubble in the timeline.
