## What is Couple Wars?

Couple Wars: the chore game for couples

Who's really winning your relationship? Couple Wars turns chores, date ideas and healthy habits into a friendly competition between you and your partner. Finish a quest, earn points, and when a battle ends, the winner picks a reward from the loser's wishlist.

No more nagging about the dishes. Just two players, one household and a scoreboard.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Add quests: chores, date nights, workouts, anything you both want done
2. Agree on the points, or let your partner bid on what a quest is worth
3. Finish quests to climb the scoreboard
4. Your partner confirms, and the points are yours
5. Win the battle and pick a reward your partner owes you

BUILT FOR REAL COUPLES
• A shared chore chart where every task is worth points
• Shared quests: whoever does it first gets the points
• Recurring quests for weekly chores and daily habits
• Streaks that reward you for keeping it up together
• Weekly and monthly battles with a head-to-head record

REWARDS YOU ACTUALLY WANT
You both build a wishlist: breakfast in bed, a massage, picking the movie, a weekend away. Win the battle and your partner owes you one.

TWO STYLES
Indie Pixel, a retro 8-bit arcade look, or Cozy Journal, soft and hand-drawn. Switch anytime.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Your quests and rewards are shared only with your partner. Nobody else sees them.

Living together or long distance, newly dating or married for years: Couple Wars makes the boring stuff fun and keeps you on the same team. Mostly.

Free to download. No paywalls on core features.

A way back to zero.

Until now the only way to clear your scores was to delete your account — and people did, losing every quest and reward they had built up along the way. Two new options in Settings fix that.

Reset scores puts both of you back to zero: the points, the streak, your battle history and the quests you have already finished. What you keep is everything you set up — your quests, your rewards, your templates. Because the score is something the two of you agreed on, your partner has to accept before anything changes, and the request turns up in the same place as a quest re-pricing.

Unlink partner ends a pairing on the spot. It does not need your partner's agreement — waiting on someone who has stopped answering was the whole problem — and afterwards you are free to pair with anyone using a new invite code. Everything the two of you shared goes with the pairing, so both of you start clean.

Account management, tidied up

Thank you for using Couple Wars.

### 1.2.2 — 2026-09-09

You can finally edit a quest.

Until now a quest was set in stone the moment it was created — a typo stayed a typo, and a quest in the wrong category stayed there. Now every quest card has DONE, EDIT and DELETE right on it.

Because points are something the two of you agreed on, renaming a quest, changing its details or re-pricing it needs your partner to approve the change — the request lands in your bids inbox with a clear before → after for each field. Moving a quest to a different category carries no points, so it applies straight away, and a quest your partner hasn't accepted yet is still yours to edit freely.

New on the Dashboard
• Quests your partner has finished now appear at the top, waiting for you to confirm. Your confirmation is what releases their points, and it used to be hidden behind an icon on another tab.

Fixes
• Invite links were broken. The link in every shared invite pointed at store pages that don't exist, so anyone you invited landed on a "not found" page. Fixed on all sharing options — if an invite failed before, send it again.
• Completing a quest from the Dashboard didn't count. It celebrated, but it didn't build your streak. Both screens now do the same thing.
• Streaks counted completions instead of days. Four quests in one evening read as a four-day streak — and sent both of you a "3-day streak!" notification on day one. A day is a day again.
• The Dashboard offered quests that weren't yours to complete, including ones your partner had already claimed — which handed their points to you and sent the confirmation to the wrong person.
• Pairing errors are now translated into every language the app speaks, instead of showing English (and occasionally developer jargon) at the one step every new couple has to get through.

Ads
• The ad that follows a completed quest no longer lands on top of the celebration, and never appears alongside a review prompt.
• There's now a minimum five minutes between ads, no matter how many quests you clear in one sitting.
• Sponsored cards are clearly labelled.

Thank you for playing Couple Wars.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-08-21

• Battle results now send both partners a notification with the final score
• Streak milestone celebrations at 3, 7, 14, 30 and 100 days
• Tapping a notification opens the right screen
• New status-bar icon, and the iOS badge shows your real unread count
• Updates install in the background instead of interrupting you
• Fixes around rewards, pairing and invite codes
