Cancel a booking within the venue's cancellation window and the court amount returns automatically — ready to spend on your next booking or Open Play session, with no waiting and no back-and-forth with the venue. If a venue cancels on you, you're refunded in full no matter how close to start time it happens. Also in this update: • Courts closed for repairs are clearly marked "Under repair" and can't be booked by mistake. • Clearer messages when a payment page won't load, so you always know whether you were charged and what to do next. • Venues can now choose whether they accept cash for online bookings and whether Open Play sessions allow walk-ins. ### 1.0.12 — 2026-08-08 PAY YOUR WAY Book a court or join an Open Play session and pay in cash at the venue — your spot is confirmed the moment the host or venue checks you in. Prefer to pay online? That's still one tap away. WALK RIGHT IN See a session happening now? Tap JOIN AS WALK-IN and you're in the queue in seconds. Hosts approve arrivals with a single tap from the live board. A BETTER VIEW OF THE GAME The live queue board now draws real pickleball courts — kitchen, net, and all four players in position — so you can see who's playing where at a glance. OPEN PLAY, RIGHT WHERE YOU BOOK Sessions now appear on the venue's booking calendar. Tap one to see the details and join. Every venue has its own Open Play schedule too, showing what's live now and what's coming up. CLOSEST COURTS FIRST Nearby Courts now lists venues strictly by distance, so the closest court is always at the top. FOR HOSTS Edit an upcoming session's banner, description and rotation without cancelling and starting over. Your Host Dashboard keeps transactions and hosted sessions in clean, separate tabs. And your session earnings now unlock for withdrawal once the session finishes — so if a session is ever cancelled, everyone who signed up can always be refunded. FOR VENUES Manage your own courts directly from your booking grid: mark a slot as Open Play, Reserved, On Hold or Closed, and players see it straight away. Running your own Open Play at the venue? Label the slot and players are told to come register as a walk-in. Close a specific date for a holiday or tournament, or switch off the rest of today when something comes up — and if bookings already exist on that date, we'll tell you before anything changes. Set your own cancellation window, and fix an issue where a day you'd marked closed could still be booked. PAYMENTS, TIGHTENED Your booking total is now always calculated before you reach checkout, so the price you see is the price you pay. Online payments retry automatically if our payment provider is briefly unreachable, and your activity feed now posts a booking once it's actually paid — not the moment you start checkout. Venues: a booking that hasn't been paid can no longer be closed out without recording how it was settled, so cash taken at the counter always lands in your earnings.
