I don’t understand apps of this nature that make no provisions for having access to your entires outside of the app, then have the audacity to charge a monthly fee. Well no.. It is baffling when software attempts to essentially manipulate users into putting time and effort into something thats is contingent upon whether or not developers have long term goals for their “passion project” Please create a way to export from cove by date or cove board, and I would gladly pay to use it. Until then I can’t afford to put effort into something that could be gone tomorrow and all of time and work would have been for nothing. Looking for a new alternative. Sad day ### 4/5 — The update *2026-08-22, version 2.0.1* This app is one of my favorite things but with the new update it keeps not saving my things it used to be 5 stars now it’s 4. ### 2/5 — Enforced payment *2026-08-21, version 2.0.1* The app itself is great but I feel it has been changed so that now you can’t save more than 100 photos without paying £60 a year or £10 a month (which needless to say I won’t be paying) as before this update I had saved 112 without problem and today I went on the app to save something and found it was blocked. I find it a shame than an app once advertised as “free” feels the need to profit off its users. But, what’s the point of creating an app to document your life just for you to stop uploading because is a bit expensive. You have to pay otherwise you can’t upload your memories. From using it for nearly a year I can confidently say Cove has transformed the way I use my phone!! My social media screen time is nearly non-existent and I can’t even remember the last time I doom scrolled. I have Coves for EVERYTHING: recipes, music, Bible verses, workouts, fitness journey progress, holidays, parties and basically every part of my life. It lays out quotes, my own little notes, pics and videos so aesthetically it’s basically my own personal Pinterest atp!! When I tried to log in with my phone number it tells me it’s linked to apple.com already. ### 5/5 — Amazing App *2026-08-08* I was excited for Cove because of Lenas Youtube Channel and it really is so beautiful! It's really like a social media app without the pressure to post something that looks pretty! I use it to document my life and just looking through it feels amazing. Plus it's really easy to use. I would recommend it! ### 4/5 — Good times are sweeter *2026-08-07, version 1.0.20* I love this app! I’m on it nearly everyday. During my bad times, my days blur and my memory isn’t the best. I don’t have to remember anything or take an hour out of my day to scrapbook memories. It’s a quick picture and a small note under it and my bright days are there to look at. I look at my good playlists often. I have one for my small business journey. When the world makes me feel lazy and useless I can look back at my progress and read about exactly why I’m not. Tried multiple email accounts and instead of telling me they weren’t correct, it allowed me/ forced me to enter additional details as if it was progressing with the login only to repeatedly create new accounts which I then had to delete. I contacted customer service who replied once and then never again. I sent a follow up email and submitted another request for help via the website only to be ignored again. The price was now significantly lower than when I signed up. They continue to run these sales and I keep getting notifications about it even though I have the annual plan. The base price is half the cost of when I signed up (day 1). It feels insulting to be a day 1 customer and get punished for it in a way. I reached out to customer service which was extremely hard to get a hold of and I expressed my frustration and that I was no longer interested in the product since the experience left a bad impression. They then offered two additional complimentary years. Not only did this offer seem out of touch but it also indicated to me that they weren’t listening to what I had expressed to them. I had high hopes and really wanted to like this app but this whole experience has left me feeling negative association with it. They let me know that Apple is in charge of purchases so they can’t do anything? I inquired more about this, trying to get more answers/options with them and have been getting ignored for weeks. I think I have poked them about 4 times over a month, even letting them know I would look into further action if I didn’t hear from them soon and they are not responding. I used to have a spam IG account I would post literally just for myself for this very same purpose: to document my life just for me, but doing it that way was annoying to keep up with and not as easy, aesthetically cute, and specifically curated/designed with each “cove” like this app is! I love it! Perfect way to document my days so I can look back in the future instead of getting lost in my camera roll! So happy I downloaded :) P.s. I saw some people comment on how it should be free and I actually completely disagree!
