### 4/5 — No Boost wireless

*2024-12-26, version 2024.1*

Boost wireless is a nation 4th carrier. Why don’t you include its native 5G coverage?

### 2/5 — Memory leak

*2024-02-08, version 2024.1*

App has a pretty bad issue or memory leak where it uses majority of the CPU. Must be quit out completely as to not run a mac or ios device hot.

### 4/5 — When is the next update?

*2023-10-30*

I see the last update was in July and have noticed areas that have updated more towers to 5G & 5Guw

### 3/5 — Issue

*2020-12-16*

Please add the 4G option back!!! AT&T doesn’t use 3G much anymore and would like to know where 4G is at when I don’t have LTE. Can you please make 4G an option again?! Or maybe a way to go back to the previous app version?

**Developer response:** 4G/HSPA+ for AT&T is still there - it's just now part of the LTE layer. But we kept it a different color (darker blue - check the legend on the info screen for the exact color) so you can still identify it.

Unfortunately, AT&T is the only carrier with this distinction and there's just not room left in the UI with adding 5G & mmW to fit a unique button for it.

### 2/5 — Useless

*2020-09-09, version 2020.6.6*

No directions except how to spend more money on add-ons.

### 2/5 — Membership required after app purchase

*2020-08-02, version 2020.6.6*

Please be aware that the $2.99 app fee does not include the membership needed to use this app. IMHO, If a membership fee is charged, which I have no issue with as Chris & Cherie have done much research on mobile technology, then a free app would have been a better way to go.

### 4/5 — Five star worthy - BUT 5G Maps - When?

*2020-07-24*

Great app - used it for years. But WHEN will 5G specific coverage be shown? Even with HD purchased upgrade, now renewed for another year - no 5G yet. Developer’s web site says: “5G coming soon!”. When it arrives, I’ll upgrade my review to 5-stars.

**Developer response:** We keep pressuring our map data provider for 5G maps - as soon as they have data we can use, we will find a way to incorporate 5G into the app. Thanks for your support!

### 3/5 — Still Buggy

*2020-06-21, version 2020.6.5*

Even with the latest update, it’s buggy. It says my subscription expired. So I renewed it but it says I’m already subscribed for another 3 months

### 1/5 — support feature is not functional

*2020-01-17, version 2019.8*

This app is no difference than the lite one
It is useless and dont help with connection to a desired cell tower of our phone company
Support is not available and links don’t function nor the website link work
I want a refund and there is no venue to request it from developer . I removed app within few minutes and lost my money

### 1/5 — Rip off

*2019-10-05, version 2019.8*

You get nothing for your purchase. For it be usable you have to purchase a subscription. They have a “free” version that is the same. So what are you buying? Nothing

### 1/5 — Useless! Don’t waste your money!

*2019-09-26, version 2019.8*

Don’t buy! Map shows I should be in a full coverage area and I have no signal! App is a piece of crap! I WANT MY MONEY BACK!

### 4/5 — 5g

*2019-09-11, version 2019.8*

Just wondering will these maps incorporate 5g coverage I’m on Verizon just want to know will this update as carriers roll out coverage.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Changing my review to one star because $$$

*2022-12-28*

When you purchase this app they make it seem like you get all the maps in HD but when you try to look at 5G millimeterwave you get nothing and then you find out you have to pay another five dollars a year to get those. I wouldn’t mind paying the full price for both of those if you were upfront but you’re weren’t. This is childish and deceptive and therefore it makes me question the whole app in general.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2022-09-04, version 2022.8*

Paid the $2.99 for the app, then tried to update to HD maps to so called get better views…….I GET NOTHING!!! Going back to Open Signal.

### 1/5 — Coverage maps are not updated

*2022-04-11, version 2021.5*

I think frequency of Updating maps and by carrier is not that frequent as it supposed to be. I my view maps should be updated every 2 weeks

### 1/5 — Caused iPhone 13 pro max to get hot

*2022-04-09, version 2021.5*

After installing this app, I noticed my iPhone 13 pro max was getting uncomfortably hot. I deleted the app and things were as before. Something’s amiss.

### 1/5 — Where are the Towers?

*2021-05-19*

I find this APP totally worthless. It shows that I have coverage for both T-Mobile & Verizon here at the campground I’m at in Amboy, IL. My phone with Verizon has a terrible connection here and both of my Hotspots with T-Mobile & Verizon are useless. Yet this app shows that I have coverage. The App does not show where the Cell Towers are unless they are on the “Optional” $5.99 upgrade.

**Developer response:** Coverage?, as described, only shows where the carriers claim they have coverage - it does not show towers. Many things influence if you'll actually get the coverage your carrier claims. That is outside our control.

### 1/5 — I don’t understand why this is rated so well

*2021-03-10, version 2021.2.1*

App seems nearly useless. Just the stock coverage map provided by the provider. There are better apps out there than this.

### 1/5 — 5G?

*2020-10-15, version 2020.6.6*

Great app, but it’s time for 5G.

### 1/5 — Not accurate

*2020-09-30, version 2020.6.6*

I got this app because I'm living in an RV. I hoped this would help avoid some coverage issues. Wrong. I paid for the app, then the HD map, both of which say I have full coverage at a spot where I have one Verizon bar. Save your money.

### 1/5 — Not Reliable or accurate

*2020-07-12, version 2020.6.6*

2 years ago this app was pretty accurate now almost every time I use it and go to a place that says it has att lte in National forest land I have 0 service. It says coverage places where they straight up is zero.

### 1/5 — It’s a lie

*2020-05-03, version 2020.4*

I downloaded the app because I am starting to RV more often and want to know how well my cell will work. After downloading I opened it up and it says my cel service is covered where I currently am....low and behold I have no cell service where I am.....so basically it says I do but I don’t which equals giving them money for a app that is worthless.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Awesome app. When's the next update?

*2024-12-01, version 2024.1*

WHENS THE NEXT UPDATE?????!!!!! 😠

### 5/5 — Essential Vanlife App

*2021-10-12, version 2021.5*

Quite literally one of the most essential vanlife apps to plot a route when service is needed for work, video calls, etc. Out of my entire folder, I probably use this and IOverlander the most. Cheers.

### 5/5 — “Coverage” is fantastic!

*2021-05-29*

This app is great at showing you a fairly detailed look at where you can expect cellphone coverage. It’s also easy to use and the support is great.

One last thing is that I first purchased this app 8+ years ago and it’s been regularly updated ever since with no additional payment required. It’s just been such a useful app with fantastic value. The developers really should be commended for the way they’ve supported their customers throughout the years.

### 5/5 — Great app. Needs 5G support

*2020-10-28, version 2020.6.6*

Would like the App to start supporting 5G as all the carriers are rolling it out.

### 5/5 — Indispensable

*2020-06-27*

I’m a fulltime nomad and still have to work. This requires reliable Internet access, so when I’m considering a new campsite, the first thing I do is consult Coverage? To see if my intended destination is viable for me. It’s important to remember that this app is based on coverage maps provided by cell carriers, and we all know those can stretch the truth a bit. But despite that limitation, I find this app indispensable in making sound travel decisions. - Wildheart Wanders blog

### 5/5 — Great App

*2020-01-21, version 2019.8*

Worked really well and was worth the dollar or two it cost to purchase. However you could just find the information on YouTube if you desire

### 5/5 — Perfect App

*2020-01-12, version 2019.8*

Thank you very much for the beautiful app! Works like a charm. Extremely recommended!

### 5/5 — Coverage is great!

*2019-10-08*

This app is really helpful. We conduct business as we travel the country on our motorhome. The app is accurate and easy to use.

### 5/5 — Absolutely indispensable

*2019-07-28*

We spend half the year traveling around the country in our RV. It is imperative that we have connectivity for our consulting work. We regularly use this app in determining our camping location. The app makes it so easy to see if we will have the coverage we need. Bravo to the developers!

### 5/5 — Helped us decide.

*2019-07-24*

The app is extremely easy to use and allows you turn off and on different carriers and services. Allows you a quick visual of overlapping or nonexistent service for our great country.

This app helped me sort through the complicated balance of what mobile phone carrier, considering coverage and price would be best for my family for our particular needs.
It most definitely saved and will continue to save us money by not overbuying a carrier service for our needs.
When we begin our adventure later this year. Will be adding a second carrier service based on the research from this coverage map. That information should help provide us with not only convenience, Internet comfort but also another amount of personal safety.

Thank you.
