### 5/5 — A focused tool for indie authors

I’ve tried a lot of AI art apps, but CoverForge feels much more focused for book covers. I like being able to choose a genre, visual style, and cover ratio instead of writing an enormous prompt from scratch. It’s especially helpful for testing cover ideas for Kindle and self-publishing projects. The interface is clean, the results feel book-oriented, and having the title and author included in the design saves time. I’d love even more typography controls over time, but it’s already a genuinely useful tool for indie writers.

Paperback wraps. Export front, spine and back as one file, sized to your KDP trim, paper stock and page count.

Doing a series? Start the next book from a cover you already made. It carries over the genre, style, ratio and mood, so the set actually looks like a set.

Fixed a bad one: if your screen locked while a cover was generating, the cover could finish and spend a credit without ever arriving on your phone.

Also fixed: cancel a generation, change the book title, generate again, and the app was still sending the old title.

### 1.3 — 2026-08-02

CoverForge now speaks 35 languages. The interface follows your device language and can be changed any time in Settings; the App Store listing is localized too.

Paid covers now generate at a higher-quality tier than free previews. This mainly affects how the title and author name are rendered into the artwork.

Two alternate app icons have been added. Switch between them in Settings.

Fixed: on the Japanese interface, the credit pack names on the Get Credits screen were showing in English.

A credit is used when a cover generates successfully, or when you unlock a preview. Failed generations are never charged.
