### 3/5 — Good but bugs

*2026-04-25*

Very easy to use but still slow screen transitions

### 4/5 — Great and Simple to Use

*2025-04-05*

The biggest challenge with Covve is remembering to save yourself time and get in touch with people directly through the app. Wish there was a clearer onboarding process as I still feel a little lost. Highly recommend it!

**Developer response:** Hi Daniel! Thank you for the review, really glad you're enjoying Covve and thanks for the feedback - taking it on board! All the best, Alex (cofounder)

### 3/5 — App was working perfectly but now it’s stuck on syncing

*2025-03-23*

App was working perfectly between my iPhone and my iPad but my iPad suddenly wanted to sync and now when I login it’s stuck on the “fetching data” screen and stays at 0%. Reached out to support with no response.

I started to just use the iPhone app and thought I’d wait for a response from support but now my iPhone is doing the same thing. When I login it’s stuck on 0% when trying to fetch my data. So now I can’t use the app at all.

Any support from tech support would be greatly appreciated because I am a paid subscriber.

**Developer response:** Hi Jmug, somehow your review had slipped by - apologies for the late response. I'm fairly certain our support team would have helped with this (we respond in less than 24 hours). But if there's still an issue do write to us! All the best, Alex (cofounder)

### 4/5 — Love it! Have some suggestions

*2024-07-08*

I’ve been looking for an app like this and have been thinking about it!! I have a few suggestions,

I’d like to see an option to save that digital scan of the card. Maybe a tab so we can see it, some people remember things better with the look of the card and associating it with a conversation or person.

I’d also like to see a bit more customization options with the app! I don’t know if I missed it, but perhaps if we could customize the blue accent color of the app or something! Since we’d be able to show our e-cards and phones to people, i think that personalization would be so neat.

One more thing, I’d like to see a feature on the photo option, where we can choose “logo” and scan the logo on the card to save it as a scan instead of a photo-

just some suggestions! Thank you covve!

**Developer response:** Hi there!

Alex here, cofounder at Covve. Thanks for all the suggestions! They all make sense and I've passed them on to our product team to either add to our list or to boost their priority if already there.

Regarding the ecards specifically we do offer completely custom cards (either digital or also physical contactless), you can find out more here: https://covve.com/digital-business-card/

All the best,
Alex (cofounder)

### 3/5 — tags aren't synced with google or ios

*2024-06-23, version 27.3*

Which means the contact data in Covve is limited to the app, so once you begin using it one is boxed in. I also get notifications then when I open the app from the notification it doesn't connect to anything specific. I am unable (or I am not aware of how to get there) to see notifications inside the app.

Seems like a great idea but it can't be the place my data lives for contacts. it needs to be a place i do things with contacts and build relationships.

Tags can be synced as I have other apps (contacts+) which does this well.

I will use the app when they solve for this.

### 4/5 — Good to stay in touch with my colleagues

*2024-06-04*

This tool is great for keeping in touch with my 25 colleagues and reminds me to invest in social fabric instead of just meeting transactionally in meetings and around tasks.

I really miss the opportunity to have a desktop version so I can extend to the rest of my network. Managing them on my phone is inefficient and takes too much screen time. I hope that the developers can inform me if this is planned to be offered.

**Developer response:** Hi there,
An absolutely valid request! We do have an experimental web app we can add you to right away (just email us at support@covve.com) and you'll be pleased to know we're starting development of a brand new desktop/web app as we speak. All the best, Alex (cofounder)

### 4/5 — Great app - needs more features

*2024-01-06*

This is an excellent contact & relationship management app.

What it is missing is an easy & interactive way to request more features or submit feedback.

What I would like to see is: 1) Integration with LinkedIn instead of manual support. 2) A way to add children’s / spouse’s birthday reminders to each contact. Or other special days. Right now it forces you to add a custom tag to a date which ends up cluttering tag options for all contacts.

**Developer response:** Hi OrganizedUser! We're very open to feedback, please send any and all ideas and suggestions to team@covve.com! In terms of #1, thank you for the feedback, have passed on to our product team already. For #2, indeed you can add any special date to any contact and that makes the tag available for other contacts you want to use. I get that in some cases tags may not be relevant to other people and this would clutter the tags list - taking it on board!

Many thanks,
Alex (cofounder)

### 3/5 — Language

*2023-12-06, version 25.2.1*

A good app overall. Rated it 3 stars but would have given it a 4 if it supports other languages like Chinese and Japanese

### 4/5 — I am very satisfied with this app but there’s also room for improvement

*2023-08-08*

1. Please have a todo list as well.
2. Please sort This Week reminders so that, older contacted persons shows on top.
3. If possible, some kind of notification, for incoming calls from Relationships contacts, so that we don’t forget to make notes.

Hope developers will make note of above suggestion.

**Developer response:** Hi Subarnaraj, many thanks for the feedback. We're constantly improving Covve and this kind of feedback is exactly what drives us in the right direction. They have all been passed to our product team already! All the best, Alex (cofounder)

### 2/5 — Great idea but terrible execution

*2023-07-04*

Excellent idea, and seemed like the perfect personal CRM for me. But the sync is terrible. Whenever I sync with my contacts, it creates so many duplicates that I cannot automatically delete or merge them with IOS Contacts. And if you don’t enable two-way sync when you first open the app, you cannot enable two-way sync (or add any contacts) without deleting the app and starting over. If you doubt that there are some issues, try doing a google search for basic questions — such as, how do I add contacts — and note that you will receive a redirect error. Very unfortunate.

**Developer response:** Hi RVW,

Alex here, cofounder at Covve. Your review was brought to your attention because we take any suspicion of sync issues very seriously. We have invested heavily in creating the most robust sync mechanism and no issues like the one you mention are experienced by any other users. In all cases it has been some underlying issue with another app or address book provider. I'd certainly want us to investigate your case though, please email me at alex@covve.com . Also keen to find out which article you refer to - a google search on our end didn't show any old/redirected articles. Many thanks, Alex

### 3/5 — Wanted to love it

*2023-05-30, version 24.3*

Well, this looks like a great simple platform to do what it says it’s going to do, but I’m uninstalling because I can’t select a reminder fequency in numbers of days.

It only supports weeks or months. That means someone I wanna contact every three days isn’t supported by this app.

### 2/5 — Do not sync. Will wreck your contact list.

*2023-03-25*

After much researching, I chose this over other apps because it seemed less unsecure than a other companies. The problem was it completely scrambled my existing list of more than 8,000 contacts, wiping out all labels from these contracts. When I contacted Covve to ask for a fix, they never replied. It’s been 4 weeks since I made the request. When I contacted them about a UI bug in the iPadOS version, they responded within 2 days but never to this far more serious sync issue, suggesting they know this is an issue but have no fix. Besides ruining my contacts, this CRM app isn’t very useful. I can get much of the same functionality by using “lists” and “notes” and “related people” functions in Apple Contacts, which is free and much more stable.

**Developer response:** Hi Juniorraz, Alex here, cofounder at Covve. Updating this response after the emails we’ve exchanged. To summarise:

1)	We take any sync issues very seriously and also pride ourselves in excellent support, so your review was brought to my attention for both reasons. First of all, on support, I see that Apostolia from our team replied to your email on the 7th of March at 12:38pm (GMT+3), within 48 hours. She was asking for your permission for our engineers to access your account and investigate but didn't get a reply. I presume the email must have got lost in a spam/promo folder perhaps.

2)	Regarding the issue itself. We assigned two of our of lead engineers (front and back end) to investigate. After a couple of days of investigation we’ve confidently concluded that the issue you encountered happened before you installed Covve and seems to be an issue affecting many iOS users irrespective of using Covve. Although Apple engineers have been involved multiple times on this issue there doesn’t seem to be a solution offered yet. You can read more about this here:
https://discussions.apple.com/thread/254232119
https://www.reddit.com/r/ios/comments/zucd7v/updated_to_162_now_i_keep_losing_every_assigned/

3)	Finally in terms of a way forward, many people successfully recovered their labels by restoring their contacts. This is supported by iCloud, Google Contacts and, potentially (depending on the configuration), Outlook. We can provide some guidance on this if you’d like.

All the best,
Alex

### 3/5 — Great concept, execution leaves a bit to be desired

*2023-03-24*

I really really want to love this app. it seems to have most of what I am looking for in a contact management app, letting me keep notes and have reminders. even pulling relevant news updates about people for me. absolutely amazing.

where it falls short for me tho is the contact syncing itself. I don’t know if it is because I bounce between my iphone and my ipad, or maybe it is just something with the app itself. but every time that the app syncs with my contacts it will create triplicates (or even 4-5 duplicates) of half the contacts. this wouldn’t be such an issue if it weren’t for the fact that it is also wiping nickname/relevant information from the contacts as well.

been playing with the free version for a couple months and upgraded to pro recently. that isn’t going to stop me from happily walking away to find something else if I have to completely clean up my 300+ contacts again

**Developer response:** Hi Jesse,

Thank you for the feedback. We don't have any other reports of such syncing issues so this could be related to something else, or perhaps the combination of apps interacting with your contacts. In any case I certainly want us to investigate. Can you email me at alex@covve.com please and we'll take it from there!

All the best,
Alex

### 3/5 — New payment plan makes the app useless

*2023-02-16, version 24*

This was a phenomenal app until they decided to make you pay to manage more than 20 relationships. That doesn’t even cover my family!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Schlechte App, stürzt direkt ab

*2026-03-30*

App lässt sich nicht synchronisieren und lässt mich auch nicht mehr in den Account weil der Sync Vorgang nicht abgeschlossen werden kann.

### 1/5 — Didn’t help with primary use case: syncing contacts

*2026-02-12, version 29.3.2*

Covve’s online marketing suggested that the app would help me sync my iPhone contacts with Linkedin to keep all that data up to date. This functionality is either not in the app or so buried that I couldn’t find it.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2025-12-12, version 29.3.2*

Spent hours trying to get this to work on my phone, Mac, and iPad.. I log in and it sends me back to the login screen. Horrible!

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work

*2025-10-30, version 29.3.2*

App doesn’t work. Stuck on load screen indefinitely.

### 1/5 — Dead ends

*2025-08-30, version 29.3.2*

The app constantly leads to dead ends. You can’t make a mistake or change your mind when setting up the app as it brings you to a screen of no return - no way to go back, no way to escape. Even if you force quit the app it launches again still on the screen of no return. I uninstalled and tried again but because I’ve never used an app like this before I made another mistake and reached a point of no return. I may try uninstalling and give it one more try. If it does it again I’m gone, and so will be anyone who might ask me about it.

### 1/5 — How not to make an app

*2025-06-05*

I originally started using the app to store all of my professional contacts. It wasn’t and still isn’t that user friendly, you can often struggle to locate your contacts details and so as a CRM system, in design it fails. What’s worse is that they’ve included an extremely long and complex encryption key, which you need to copy somewhere should you ever need to log in in the future. After receiving an email from Covve advising me to log in after a period of inactivity, I logged out of the app with a view to logging back in again only to find that because I hadn’t recorded an encryption key, I could no longer access my records. The ONLY copy of this key is in the app itself, defeating the point of a safe and secure system, dictating a need to copy/paste a password elsewhere which in itself isn’t secure. By design, this app is a failure, and should this scenario ever happen to you you will be bluntly advised that Covve cannot assist or support you and your contact details have been lost and account permanently deleted. Avoid this app, there are better alternatives.

**Developer response:** Hi Paul, sorry to hear this. Indeed, having to keep your encryption key safe adds a level of complexity. It wasn't done lightly - we listen to our users and time and time again one thing came across clearly: the privacy of their data is of primary importance. Hence we adopted the highest standard in privacy and security: client-side (end to end) encryption - much like password managers and crypto wallets. This does entail a key which only the user has. That's the only way to guarantee privacy - noone, not even Covve can access the data. This is hugely appreciated by privacy conscious users but I understand and respect that in some cases the added complexity is unwelcome. Thank you for your open feedback, it is taken on board as we look for ways to make things simpler while maintaning the highest level of privacy for our users. All the best, Alex (cofounder)

### 1/5 — Insanely low contact limit

*2023-07-15*

I just need an app where I can add notes to my contacts so I can remember personal details (the native iOS contacts app doesn’t work because when you share a contact, it also shares any notes you’ve added). This app was working fine until I realized the free version is limited to only 20 contacts, rendering it effectively useless. I want to use this app strictly for personal usage, not business, so I’m not going to shell out $13 per month. I would rate this app 5 stars if the free version allowed me to add unlimited contacts and locked premium features behind a paywall, but I’m not paying more than $5 when all I need is virtual index cards

### 1/5 — Terrible customer service

*2023-06-06, version 24.5*

Customer service is nonexistent. Can only contact them by email and no response to your email

### 1/5 — Free version is useless.

*2022-02-28*

I have the free version based on Toms Guide recommendation. It was wrong, the free version is NOT feature rich.
I’m deleting the app but like most apps I can’t delete my account. Disappointed.

**Developer response:** Hi SaneSheila, I'm sorry to hear this. First of all, you can certainly delete your account! Just head to settings > account > delete account.

Regarding the free version - Covve requires a Pro plan to manage more than 20 relationships. However, with the free plan you still have all your contacts in Covve – you can add notes and reminders, get relevant news, scan business cards, organize and tag them, get statistics on your network and more – what you can’t do is ask Covve to manage all of them for you (i.e. remind you to stay in touch in regular intervals).

All the best,
Alex (cofounder)

### 1/5 — After email verification just stalls

*2021-12-13*

Have tried verifying but just freezes on the screen

**Developer response:** Hi there. Sorry to hear about this. Sounds like your phone isn't opening the verification link properly for some reason. As a quick fix you can uninstall the app, re-install and skip signup (you can always do this later). Alternatively please contact us at support@covve.com and we'll work through this with you. All the best, Alex

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great

*2024-05-16*

Such a great CRM tool.

Ability to turn on ‘dark’ mode would be great as would further business card designs.

Would also be helpful to be able to customise what you see on each screen and be able to send contacts to other people in your company.

### 5/5 — General Manager

*2024-01-29, version 26.0.1*

Excellent Product!! Great for Keeping up with people

### 5/5 — Great app

*2023-10-13, version 25.1*

Reminds me to keep touch

### 5/5 — Covve - very powerful

*2023-09-05, version 24.8*

This a great app for lazy or overcommitted people to ise throughout their lives to enrich their spirit with sustained friendship. I wish I had discovered this 40 years sgo

### 5/5 — The app you didn’t know you desperately needed

*2023-06-11, version 24.5.1*

Amazing app. Very helpful especially for people on the move with close friends living in different countries

### 5/5 — Exactly what I wanted

*2023-02-24, version 24.1*

I have been looking for an app like this for a couple of years. I found Covve and will not go to another app.

The new AI conversation builder reduces the barrier for me to reach out to my contacts.

I also like the streaks feature which motivates me to maintain my engagement with my relationships.

Thanks Covve!

### 5/5 — Must have for executive leaders

*2023-02-05, version 23.7*

This app helps me keep in touch with my friends, family and professional network at the same time. A simple CRM that keeps me focused on what is important and makes it easy with my Contacts app integration.

### 5/5 — Extraordinary App

*2023-02-01*

This is truly an extraordinary app—and I rarely write reviews. The ability to set a reminder “get-in-touch” cadence for each contact is what makes this app so special and useful. It does wonders for keeping my network warm. Also, I love that it syncs with my phone Contacts address book instead of using a separate database. Be careful though. This company had a major privacy data breach, which makes me leery of adding too much info in the Notes sections

### 5/5 — Has become one of my Go To apps

*2022-11-02*

The improvements that have been implemented in the software recently have really added great functionality. I use it all the time to keep in contact with key clients as a CRM tool and also my greater network of friends and colleagues.

One of the features I really like is the ability to set up reminders for further action or commitments that get integrated into my to do list and calendar app. This is a great productivity boost!

In addition, the company is very quick to respond to any issues and is constantly interested in improving the app every year.

It is one of my top Go To Apps!

### 5/5 — Best App to build strong relationships

*2022-09-15, version 23.4*

Best app ive ever used to build strong and thriving relationships. whether it is personal, family and friends, or business, having covve keeps me focused and intentionally interacting with those I care about.
