Sie bietet alle Funktionen die ich meinem Alltag brauche. Leider ist die Navigation über Google schlecht. Die Routen ergeben wenig Sinn und täglich gefahrene Router werden nicht mit dem tatsächlichen gefahrenen weg gespeichert und bei der nächsten Fahrt vorgeschlagen. Es wird immer ein großer Umweg angezeigt, da die Navigation scheinbar auf der von Autos beruht. Die Navigation scheint nicht zu „lernen“. Apple Karten ist da in Berlin um Welten besser. Ich wünschte, ich könnte den Kartenanbieter aussuchen. Dann wäre die App perfekt. ### 4/5 — Zwei Bikes über ein App-Konto *2024-04-09* Schade, dass man nicht zwei Cowboy Bikes über eine App-Email laufen lassen kann. Es ist umständlich, wenn man das eine Bike über die App Abmelden muss und das zweite dann über eine andere Emailadresse wieder Anmelden muss. Bluetooth und die Cowboy App müsste so geschaltet sein, das es das richtige Bike erkennt und dann automatisch nimmt, ohne das ein- und ausloggen über einer anderen Emailadresse nötig ist. Vor allem, wenn man Connect, Care und Diebstahlschutz für beide Bikes gebucht hat. Dann ist es doch Garantiert von Vorteil mit beiden Bikes ständig angemeldet zu sein. Vielleicht schafft Ihr ja noch Abhilfe, bevor im Juni die ersten neuen Cross Bikes geliefert werden und man das alte Cruiser ebenfalls behält. ### 4/5 — Tolles Bike, schöne App mit Potential *2024-04-02* Mir gefällt die App bisher sehr gut. Sie ist übersichtlich, ästhetisch und ich komme gut mit ihr zurecht. Manchmal ist die Navigation noch etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, das liegt vielleicht aber auch an meiner Internetverbindung. Ich würde mir sehr wünschen, dass man die App auch im Querformat nutzen kann. Das Quadlock ließe das zu und es würde das Auf- und Absteigen wesentlich angenehmer und unkomplizierter gestalten. ### 4/5 — Très bien presque parfait *2024-01-31* 5 mois que je roule quotidiennement avec la version cruiser. La position est très confortable et l'assistance électrique très souple. Juste un bémol sur la gestion de la batterie. Les premiers jours c'était environ 75 km aujourd'hui c'est plutôt 50 km. Je nais pas changé ma façon de rouler pourtant. Can’t imagine being more pleased. ### 5/5 — Perfect (et en contante perfection) *2023-07-24* Cowboy ne cesse de m’impressionner ! 2 ans sur le cowboy 4 et je continue à aimer et à bousculer mes habitudes. Plus de transport, seulement le cow-boy. L’application est super et c’est surtout la communication avec les développeurs qui est intéressante puisque tout ce qu’on remonte comme problème est tout de suite pris très au sérieux. Bravo pour les update mensuels qui permet à l’app de toujours progresser. Tout fonctionne très bien aucun souci! Et comme je l’ai dit c’est un indispensable! ### 5/5 — Rundum gute App *2023-07-20* Es hat sich viel getan in der App seit ich das C3 besitze. Viele gute Neuerungen, bei mir läuft es stabil mit dem iPhone 13 Pro. Wenn es jetzt noch ne Verbindung zur Apple Watch gibt sind euch 5 Sterne gewiss! Update: Die Verbindung zu Apple Watch ist da, leider kann man damit noch immer nicht das Bike entsperren. Da ihr fleißig daran arbeitet gibts 5 Sterne auf Vorbehalt, ich wünsche mir noch immer das Entsperren per Watch um ohne Mobilfunkgerät unterwegs zu sein und den Komfort des schlüssellosen Entsperrens zu gebießen. **Developer response:** Gute Nachrichten: Für die neue Version, die wir gerade veröffentlicht haben, gibt es eine App für die Apple Watch. Mais le navigateur d’itinéraire n’est vraiment pas adapté aux vélos ! Il ne connaît pas les sens interdit vélo autorisés du 12e arrondissement de Paris, ne reconnaît pas les quais de Seine comme cyclable (demande sans arrêt de faire demi-tour!). Je vous conseil de faire une sortie en cowboy avec Geovelo et vous verrez la différence de qualité d’itinéraire ! J’espère que le changement d’un itinéraire voiture à vélo sera dans vos prochaines mise à jour ! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — DO NOT BUY A COWBOY BIKE *2025-06-17* When something happens, parts take months to ship and the app is USELESS when it comes to getting ahold of anyone to help or provide an update. We’ll keep you updated and let you know as soon as they’re available ### 1/5 — Ignoring Safety Issues *2025-06-08, version 5.4.4* I bought a bike costing thousands of pounds from this company. It is now part of a recall and Cowboy are refusing to arrange a replacement, refund or repair. They have went silent and are ignoring customers, as well as their obligations under consumer law. Avoid them. ### 1/5 — Terrible attempt at tech integration *2024-06-03, version 4.4.8* Have recently purchased a cowboy bike which has lost all acceleration on the 3rd ride (have done less than 20 miles). The app is completely useless in trying to solve this issue. ### 1/5 — Worst customer service *2023-12-09* I have cowboy care and had a visit with a technician. He diagnosed an issue and reported it to cowboy. After some days hearing nothing I went on the app to schedule a repair and order parts. It’s been over a week and there has been no help whatsoever. Only different people chatting like NPCs in a video game or a bad AI chat it. Completely useless chat. Much better off just going to a repair shop and skipping the app chat entirely. ### 1/5 — The bike hasn’t been delivered yet *2023-07-18* Massive delays in the delivery process with no clarity on the final dates. The app and all accessories are seating with no use just waiting for the bike to arrive :( ### 1/5 — They Changed The One Good Thing *2023-06-23* For reasons no one at Cowboy seems able or willing to explain, the brilliant map within the app that allowed you to be directed to your destination on safer routes has now been deleted in favor of Google apps, which ignores cycling infrastructure and directs you to busy and unsafe routes. A stupid stupid decision taken by Cowboy enticed by Googles trillions. They have zero concern for the safety of cyclists, and an absolutely sham of a customer service means no help or answers available. Shame on the whole lot of them. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. We’ve tested this new navigation for several months with hundreds of beta testers in various regions. The feedback we received was very positive, and our new navigation system received a much higher satisfaction score than our former one. However it's totally possible that, in some cases, you'll prefer the routes offered by Mapbox (the SDK we used before) to those from Google Maps. We encourage you to share this feedback with Google directly, so that our navigation tool continues to improve over time and adapts as well as possible to the needs of cyclists. Making me too worried to ride it to work! I cycle almost 40k per day which would be v difficult without the Bluetooth! ### 1/5 — Last 2 updates have broken activities *2022-10-09, version 3.6.1* The last 2 updates were really bad. The app stoped getting the ride data from my C3, the battery level is wrong on the settings page, and it stoped syncing rides with Apple Health. Because of that is now mostly useless. ### 1/5 — Buggy and impractical *2021-12-01, version 3.0.2* Latest update keeps forcing me to enter login details and will refuse to unlock my bike if I have no signal. Extra features are nice albeit a little all over the place in terms of UI but the app is essentially broken if it cannot execute the most basic feature of unlocking your bike. ### 2/5 — App update troubled with issues *2023-07-06* The latest app redesign, while arguably more visually appealing and providing more functionality, is less stable and has issues there not present before. This is frustrating because customers should not be expected to provide free QA services for a premium product such as this. A non exhaustive list of issues I have regularly: - long press actions are buggy and sometimes reset while pressing. For example when locking the bike I sometimes have to try 2 or 3 times for it to “take” - app closes while in use. This is a minor annoyance but one that wasn’t an issue before. If I lock my phone the app will sometimes just close on its own. This adds friction when I want to lock my bike at the end of the ride. - after charging battery, app says battery is disconnects forever, until I unlock the bike. - app feels slower, more laggy, less responsive. Mir wurde es bereits einmal geklaut und bis nach Rumänien verschleppt! Dank der Trackingfunktion konnte es die Polizei einfach sicherstellen und jetzt habe ich es wieder. Verrückt einfach. Der adaptive Modus macht super viel Spaß. In der App kann man super schnell dem Support schreiben und jedes Anliegen und Problem wurde nicht nur gelöst, sondern nur bei jeder Kleinigkeit wurde mir sofort ein Ersatzteil zugeschickt, ohne das ich es verlangt habe! Die App ist sehr modern, beinhaltet lustige Sprüche und ist übersichtlich aufgebaut. Ich bin sehr zufrieden.
