### 3/5 — Nice

*2025-05-07, version 1.7.3*

It would be good to be able to share this data via a share link.

### 4/5 — Helpful and informative!!

*2024-02-02, version 1.7.3*

I was recommended this app and I am so glad I got it, I now get notifications when I have achieved a special milestone in my vegan journey🌱❤️

### 4/5 — Make the graphics shareable on IG

*2023-12-15, version 1.7.3*

Thanks!

### 3/5 — Great idea

*2023-09-09, version 1.7.3*

I like it. Some of the numbers make no sense such as a king size bed being 25 square metres equivalent.
I wonder if allowing people to enter meat free days dairy free days etc as they build up gradually would be supportive
Thanks for developing the app

### 3/5 — Everyone should be holding themselves accountable.

*2023-04-26, version 1.7.3*

This app will not change you or the world, but it’ll give you real-time stats on what you save and what’s been killed. The Veganniversary feature is neat, but Veganism is not about patting yourself on the back. I’d like to see more features added to the app.

### 5/5 — Incredible

*2022-10-17, version 1.7.3*

I love the app so much. It gives statistics on the difference you have made in a way that is easy to use. It shows a lot of things such as the number of animals that have been spared, the gallons of water saved, square feet of rainforest, pounds of Co2 and grain saved. There is also a kill counter that shows how many of each type of animal that has been killed since you opened it. This one is depressing, but it is a good thing to show friends and family to open their eyes about the way that animals are treated. Overall, the app is incredible. It is so motivating and easy to use. Highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Cowculator-rocks

*2022-04-20, version 1.7.2*

My friend, vegan for five years, read about all the water he saved, etc and I just had to have this app. We celebrated.

### 5/5 — Brilliant

*2021-12-11, version 1.7.2*

Brilliant app thank you for existing.

### 5/5 — Such a sweet motivator!

*2021-11-18, version 1.7.2*

I’m autistic and I’ve tried to be vegan all my life because I find I empathise with animals more than the average person to the point that eating meat and animal products has given me nightmares for years. Finally out of that abusive situation I was able to go fully vegan in 2019 and whenever I’m sad or worried or see meat being eaten (it really upsets me but I try not to let people know because I don’t want my aversion to influence their choices or make them feel judged) I open up my Cowculator and remind myself how many animals I’ve saved by finally following my conscience.
My partner had been vegetarian for 20 years before we met and we both decided to go fully vegan at the same time. So when I open the Cowculator and see I’ve saved 1,026 animal lives I know in my mind that between us it’s double that! And it helps me get through my day. Thank you, Cowculator!😭

### 5/5 — I love this app!!!

*2021-09-15, version 1.7.2*

I love it! So much insight you get to see! Thanks 💕

LOVE SEEING WHAT I HAVE DONE!! it really motivates me.

### 5/5 — Claire 😁

*2021-03-05, version 1.7.1*

This is a great reminder every day and gives me the will power to keep on going and sticking to my keto vegan diet and now I just need to convince my little family that vegan food is much tastier than meat and Dairy! then that will be five per day instead of 1! 😁👏🏻

### 5/5 — Impactful and well-made

*2021-03-03, version 1.7.1*

Sorry about the negative reviews from carnists who don’t have anything better to do, hopefully this can balance it out somewhat, but you deserve the 5-stars regardless.

The app is really really incredible, even for how simple it is. The presentation on the main screen is elegant, the numbers are accurate, and the concept is great. It’s really nice to be able to see the impact you’ve had, and I’m sure this app has helped in motivating a lot of people to stay vegan. The anniversary is a nice touch too, and the kill counter is depressing, but I’m glad it’s there.

Thanks for what you’ve made, and also for the fact that it’s free.

### 5/5 — A sobering reminder

*2021-02-10, version 1.7.1*

Such an important tool to look at the massive impact one person can make to the environment. Kill counter is a terrible reminder of the true cruelty that surrounds the meat and dairy industry.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2021-01-15, version 1.7.1*

Amazing accountability partner and so nice to see my progress towards my Veganniversary! I am really happy with this app! Thank you for creating it! :-D

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — RUDE VEGAN TEACHERS

*2024-07-20, version 1.7.3*

### 1/5 — The designs cool I guess :)

*2023-12-11, version 1.7.3*

I like design.

### 1/5 — After submitting my vegan anniversary does not update

*2021-04-04, version 1.7.1*

I was hoping to really love this app but for some reason when I enter my Vegan anniversary it does not start showing how many animals I have save snd the impact I’ve achieved on the environment, etc.. to me this app is now useless because it’s not actually acting like it should

### 1/5 — Honestly just upset with the responses

*2020-08-05, version 1.7.1*

I was vegan for a long time, and still mostly eat vegan, and keep a vegan food household... I'm still working on the other stuff in my household for having a totally vegan household.

Long story short, I was excited about this app, but when I started reading reviews it just made me mad the responses. There is ways to encourage people to the vegan lifestyle, and ways to discourage them. And I've been in customer service from age 7-22. You have to use customer service if you wanna sell anything. That they are not. They seem to care more about being right then creating a change.

You lose people when you talk down to them. That's the reason I deleted the app and won't use it and won't suggest it.

### 1/5 — Star

*2020-04-02, version 1.6.3*

Slow

### 1/5 — Figures don’t lie, but liars figure.

*2019-11-08, version 1.6.3*

Response to devs response:
The numbers were so crazy that your silly app provides that I did google the topic. There is no shortage of information that disputes the bogus data your app provides. You obviously don’t care about confirming that the “Cowculator” provides accurate data. If you wish to look into it you will see this data doesn’t hold up to scrutiny.

If you believe these numbers... buy the app and pretend away.

Last response to developer... did you ever try and get funded for research that goes against the liberal line of thinking? I know people who have... they won’t give money. That’s the reason there is so much “climate change” related research. The government won’t fund research that goes against the agenda. Did you see the recent letter signed by 500 climatologists. No shortage of scientists who rip apart the false studies the government funds. Believe what you want. Makes no difference to me. I bet I enjoy my meals a lot more than the average vegan.

### 1/5 — just propaganda

*2019-11-07, version 1.6.3*

I’m not vegan and never will be, but I plugged in a date of Jan. 1, 2019, about 10 months ago as I write this. The app says if I had gone vegan on that date I would have saved the lives of 299 animals. That’s about one a day. Even if I ate meat every day I obviously wouldn’t be eating an entire animal each day, so that’s nonsense. This app is just an attempt to push a vegan lifestyle. The developers have a right to do that, but before you download be aware that’s their intent and don’t take it seriously.

Update:
Wow. I received a really snarky and nonsensical response from the developer. I’m glad I deleted the app.

### 1/5 — Totally Inaccurate Calculations

*2019-10-28, version 1.6.3*

It assumes a person eat a whole cow and day and what that cow would consume and produce in their lifetime as it occurs in a day.

Good premise, but totally bogus numbers!!

### 1/5 — What a joke.

*2019-03-19, version 1.6.1*

Going vegan does not change anything. You do not “save animals” by going vegan. The same amount of animals are still slaughtered every day. By refusing to eat meat, all you are doing is passing up on a great meal and giving it to someone else. God gave us dominion over all animals, and we shouldn’t feel bad about eating them.

Response to developer: Wow, what a late reply. My point is that we, as humans, were granted dominion over all (other) animals, so why not indulge in a satisfying steak or burger every now and then? We ARE omnivores after all. Back to my previous statement, just because YOU won’t eat meat, doesn’t mean someone else won’t. You’re not saving anything by choosing not to eat meat. You want to make a difference? Why not push to shut down slaughter houses and farms?

Second response: Religion aside, I personally do not find anything wrong with eating meat - just as I have no problems with vegans. If you want to choose that lifestyle, fine by me. The problem I have is that you are trying to use a fallacy to solidify your claim. You are claiming that by not eating meat, you are saving animals. This is obviously untrue, because as I said before the animals will still be slaughtered and consumed by someone else. In order for your statement to be true, a VERY large number of people would have to give up meat entirely. I don’t care if you’re vegan, but don’t try to deceive others into giving up meat by feeding them nonsense about how by doing so they are saving the planet. Oh, and an app review is also not the place to leave rude and snarky responses to other people’s opinions (I have read some of the other reviews). I am going to be the adult here and end this conversation. Good day.

### 1/5 — Pointless and inaccurate

*2019-02-03, version 1.6.0*

Just because one person doesn’t eat them doesn’t mean someone else will. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate it when people go vegan because of the law of supply and demand.

Each vegan conversion means I can keep a little more of my hard earned money. I’ll use that money to buy an extra burger though so...hmmm. Well maybe it breaks even with me eating your burgers.

Dang, I knew someone was going to eat the burgers your aren’t. Turns out, it’s me. Thanks for the extra burger at a cheaper price.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — VERY GOOD 🐄

*2026-07-07, version 1.7.3*

Recently downloaded this app and I absolutely love it. FREE, very well designed and easy to use. I’m new to being vegan and it makes it a lot easier to feel motivated to keep it up, especially when I’m frequently told that veganism is pointless since someone’s just going to eat it anyway. I love animals and I love the feature where you can see the animals lives saved and despite the horrifying tolls I also find the kill count very moving. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this app and would 100% recommend to any other vegan.

As for the meat-eaters, it’s not made for you 🤦‍♀️ stop leaving bad reviews on a genuinely helpful app.

One thing I would like to see improved is the actual fact checking abilities. The app does list the conspiracy movie as a source and then the cowspiracy website also lists sources but it’s a long rabbit hole to find a credible source. Not that it’s not a credible app, I do believe it is. However it would be nice to have something of a references page with credible sources linked on the app, both for some of us nerdy vegans peace of mind, but also to show to non vegan friends who may dismiss the statistics as fabricated. Overall though it’s an amazing app! 🩷

### 5/5 — Inspiring

*2026-04-26, version 1.7.3*

On days when it’s a bit challenging to be vegan, this app reminds me that my choices are making an impact on the environment and the world, and most importantly, on the the lives of animals.

### 5/5 — just what i needed ✨🌱

*2024-09-12, version 1.7.3*

so glad this is an app. i thought it would be nice to see how much i’m helping by being vegan and was hoping i’d find exactly this so i’m very happy.

### 5/5 — Great to know impact from being vegan

*2024-05-11, version 1.7.3*

Really useful to check this data and share with non vegans so I can ask people to consider cutting down meat and dairy. It is great to see the impact from one’s consumption of food.

### 5/5 — Proud Vegan

*2023-12-03, version 1.7.3*

Theres no doubt but just confirms I’m doing the right thing.

### 5/5 — Yay!

*2023-06-23, version 1.7.3*

Love this app so much, has been so helpful during my vegan journey- also love the documentary!

### 5/5 — Add a shareable feature!

*2023-05-30, version 1.7.3*

This would really benefit from having a ‘share’ button where you can show people on social media how much you’ve saved. Like with any kind of dieting, that kind of public sharing can really motivate people to continue. Also spreads the message.

### 5/5 — Awesome app

*2023-02-07, version 1.7.3*

Does exactly what it says! Great app!
