## What is CoyoteMail?

CoyoteMail brings all your mail, all your calendars and the people you write to into one fast, quiet app.

It is not a mail service: it is the app you read the mail you already have with. It works with any IMAP and SMTP provider —Gmail, iCloud, Outlook, Fastmail or your own domain— and with any CalDAV calendar.

EVERY ACCOUNT, ONE INBOX
- Add as many accounts as you need and read them together or one at a time.
- Each account has its own colour, and that colour follows its messages and its events.
- Threaded conversations, your own replies included.
- Search across all your mail, filter what is unread, and create folders with a long press.

WRITING WITHOUT REGRETS
- A formatting editor: bold, italic, underline, lists, links, colour and size. What you see as you write is exactly what lands in their inbox.
- Undo send: a few seconds to change your mind, as many as you choose.
- Undo delete works the same way.
- Real scheduled sending: the message goes out at the time you set even with your phone in your pocket, because our server sends it, not the phone.
- Drafts save themselves and sync with the server: start on the iPhone, finish on the Mac.
- Per-account signatures, with their own formatting and images.
- Recipient suggestions from your history and your contacts as you type.
- React to a message with an emoji, like in a chat.

CONTACTS THAT ORGANISE THEMSELVES
- The people you write to, with nothing to fill in: they come from your own mail, not your address book.
- Grouped by company, each with the icon from its website.
- Every card shows your emails, attachments and meetings together, and whether they are waiting for your reply or you for theirs.
- Phone, job title, website and address taken from their signature, and editable.
- VIPs with their own inbox and notifications even when you have notifications off.
- At the top of the list, who is waiting for your reply and your VIPs.
- Private notes, merge one person's several addresses or several companies into one, and add to Apple Contacts or share as a card.
- What you decide travels with you to all your devices.

NOTIFICATIONS THAT BEHAVE
- One notification per conversation, not one per message.
- Reply, mark as read or archive straight from the notification.
- Read the message on any device and the notification clears itself.
- No notifications for what is already on your screen.

A REAL CALENDAR
- Month, week and day views, plus the agenda for the day you are looking at.
- Invitations you answer with one tap, with your answer in plain sight.
- Reminders that say "Today at 5:30 pm" and whether the meeting is a video call.
- Place search as you type the location, and one tap to open it in Maps or get directions.
- Everything stored on the device: it is there when you open the app, and only what is new is downloaded.

MADE YOUR WAY
- Eight themes, each with a light and a dark version.
- Seven languages —Spanish, Catalan, English, French, Italian, Portuguese and German—, switchable inside the app.
- Sender icons, grouping by date and a list you can read at a glance.

YOUR MAIL IS YOURS
- No ads and no trackers.
- We do not read your mail or analyse it for anything.
- Your messages travel straight between your iPhone and your provider; only scheduled messages pass, encrypted, through our server.
- Replying or forwarding never runs anything from the original message, and links that are not web, email or phone are blocked.
- The CoyoteMail account is optional and only carries your setup and your contacts from one device to another. Passwords are stored encrypted.
- You can delete your account and everything in it from the app or from the web, without writing to anyone.

Requires iOS 26.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.9.40 — 2026-10-25

Improved email management with multiple selection, quick actions, and a new folder search. Redesigned formatting tools, a more comfortable writing experience, smoother navigation, and bug fixes.

### 1.9.22 — 2026-10-18

- Appointments written inside an email go to your calendar with one tap, with the place already looked up in Maps.
- Search looks in every folder, not just the one you have open.
- In month view, events spanning several days show as a single bar.
- Attachments fold away when there are many, and are easier to handle on the phone.
- Reactions coming from Outlook are now recognised.
- Switching the app's language now switches everything — no stray text left in another language.
- Fixes in the calendar, in all-day events and in folders.

### 1.9.0 — 2026-10-13

You can now write from your aliases. Add them in Settings, inside each account, with their own name and signature if you like; pick them as the sender when you write, and when you reply to a message that reached an alias, the reply goes out from it. They sync across your devices.

And Contacts is here: the people you write to, grouped by company, with everything you share at hand and nothing to fill in. Each card brings together your emails, attachments and meetings, tells you whether they are waiting for your reply or you for theirs, and picks up their phone, job title, website and address from their signature, ready for you to correct. Mark your VIPs to keep them on top, with their own inbox and notifications even when yours are off; jot down notes only you can see; merge someone who writes from several addresses, or several companies into one, and add them to Apple Contacts or share them as a card. The top of the list shows who is waiting for your reply, counting only what was sent to you, not what you were copied on. Everything syncs across your devices.

Also, deleting, archiving or moving the open message closes it or opens the next one, messages and conversations open faster, missing sender icons are back, and the senders you allow to load images travel with you to all your devices. And the app is safer: replying never runs anything from the original message, risky links are blocked, and actions from notifications ask you to unlock your iPhone.

### 1.8.11 — 2026-10-10

Introducing Contacts: the people you write to, grouped by company, with everything you share at hand and nothing to fill in. The top of the list shows at a glance who is waiting for your reply, and tapping the sender of a message takes you to their card. Everything you decide syncs across your devices.

Also, deleting, archiving or moving the open message closes it or opens the next one, messages and conversations open faster, and missing sender icons are back. And the app is safer: replying never runs anything from the original message, risky links are blocked, and actions from notifications ask you to unlock your iPhone.

### 1.7.105 — 2026-10-09

Calendar search, including invitees. Inline images while writing. Notifications show the sender’s photo. Deleting an email takes you back to the list. Smoother, with no endless waits when a server doesn’t respond. Plus fixes for Sent.
