### 4/5 — Pencil hack!

*2023-11-10*

Playing on an iPad Air. First time playing the pencil worked fine, next time it didn’t. Looked into it and seen the developers say pencil isn’t compatible. But it’s how i played the first time, without issue. So there is a way. And honestly using my fingers for something like this is annoying. They really should fix this issue. But I found a hack!

The way I get it to work is have pencil off when I open the game. Then open the game from complete close, not just switching tabs. Open Flamey’s menu right away. Then I turn on pencil and use that to go thru the menu. If it works to navigate flameys menu you’re set. Once you get it working do not use your fingers at all! That will screw up the calibration. Sometimes when the calibration gets wonky I can bring it back by going into a menu and scrolling through that for a bit, or trying to hold/drag for navigating. As long as I don’t touch the screen with my fingers I don’t run into issues. Though I do sometimes get issue if I place my other hand on the back of my iPad which I find very weird.
Also, not sure if it makes a diff but I use a off brand pencil not the Apple Pencil.

### 4/5 — Wonderful game just in need of minor changes

*2023-01-16, version 5.2.0*

I love this game. I play it almost daily. The art work is beautiful and the story is really cute. Definitely cozy and something to play to pass some time. The game concept is easy and isn’t to hard to get started. The issue I am running into is having to look up how to achieve some of the quests. I am currently on day 11, not to far into the game and had to look up on other resources how to get what I needed. I definitely think there should be a hint option or a better guide in the beginning (like a scouts handbook). If it wasn’t for me taking the time to research a lot of things I definitely wouldn’t be as far. I definitely wish you could play longer and get more achievements done in a shorter time period or get resources faster. Having to wait 24 hrs is a bit annoying. I don’t have the option to play daily or on a schedule. I do enjoy the game overall, it just need some minor adjustments in my opinion.

### 4/5 — I Love it Here

*2021-11-04, version 3.1.1*

I adore this game!! I have grown attached to the characters & their mortality stories; i actually teared up a bit as i watched my first spirit attain peace. I am even attached to my constantly growing critter family: my cats, my bunnies (?).. I’m kept eternally busy by the ever-increasing number & challenge of the various quests. My tent has become a four room cabin with furniture & fixtures. The graphics are great. The stories are heart warming. I am so addicted.
Which makes the glitchiness that much harder to bear (pun intended;)!!! I can not play for 20 minutes without getting booted. Sometimes the game will shut down in as little as 5 minute increments. Is it because i am farther along & there is a lot of activity? Can i anticipate this only getting worse, asthere is so much left still to do!? It isn’t exactly the world’s quickest reboot, & sometimes a decent chunk of progress is lost.
PLEASE fix this!! I am looking forward to meeting & helping several more bears yet! This game is the reason i pay for Arcade & if the problem persists I just can’t justify the charge anymore! 🥺😩🤯

### 4/5 — I love it

*2021-10-10, version 3.0.0*

So, I love this game! It is so cute. I love the hand drawn animation. It is a very simple and calming game. And feeding the bird is very simple. All you must do is not feed it the bagels, but the snow berries which can be bought from the store. Still it took me a while to figure that out so could you please change that. Other than it is perfect in every way. Update:So, I still love this game, and I like it is very calm and relaxing. But, I ran into a small issue. I went to the mayor to do my quest and he/she gave my a bust of him/her. And I tap on it when it was in my inventory and it disappeared I look every wear and I try reloading the game but, it is still gone! Please fix this. Update: I still love this game and I found the mayor statue, but I have ran into a major error, it won’t get past the loading screen. I tried to turn my device of and exit the app, but it still won’t load!!! I think it might be the update, but I do not know please fix this!!!!!! 😭😭😭

### 4/5 — Great but infuriatingly flawed

*2021-09-20, version 2.3.0*

I love this game, but there’s a reason it does not get 5 stars. If it weren’t for the ability to wirelessly connect my ps4 controller to my iPad then I would be completely unable to play. 10 minutes into the game every single time without fail the navigational functions stop working. I’ll be dragging my finger along to move my character when all of a sudden like clockwork, the character becomes unable to move anywhere but to the right. I have to literally exit out of the game to reset it. But then 10 min later it happens again. The first time I played this I rage quit because it was infuriating. I only started playing again because I found out I could connect a controller. How can the most basic and important function - MOVING - be so screwed up. This doesn’t occur with the ps4 controller, but as I do not always have the controller with me when I’m out and about, this is extremely infuriating. Please fix this. It’s a a major problem. I also seem to be unable to use my iPencil with this game as well. I think it would help with ease of play too if that were made compatable.

**Developer response:** Actually the pencil is probably the problem. Please completely disable the pencil before playing next time and see if the movement still becomes goofy. (The game used to disable the pencil automatically for players, but that broke some versions ago and we haven't yet looked into fixing it.)

### 4/5 — Automation

*2021-08-15, version 2.2.0*

This a message for The developers. I really love this game it beautiful, relaxing, and amazing, but there is something missing and that is in my opinion is automation. I think that having to do everything on my own is kind of boring especially fishing, I don’t like how I have to spend 30 min to an hour just catching fish I would really love to have the choice to craft some kind of trap or big net where I can just set it up and let it do the work for me. The crafting aspect of this game is everything so you might as well add some more options like crafting traps not just for fish but also for insects, and don’t take me wrong I like the idea of running around trying to catch insects but I think we should have the choice to either craft trap for them or just catch them ourselves. Also plus feature would be voice over for the bears that would be amazing it would make the experience that much better, and as you can tell I am lazy so most of the time I don’t even read what they are saying and just skip but if there was voice over I would listen to and enjoy even more. Thank you guys!

### 4/5 — A promising start, but slow

*2021-08-15, version 2.2.0*

So far I have enjoyed the game. However, you should know that it apparently runs in real time. That means when you are done with tasks at noon on Saturday and you still want to level up, tough. You gotta wait until Sunday morning at least. I would rather see the game do like other games have done and have a shortened day/night cycle. When I’m further in the game and dealing with more spirits, the real-time mechanic might be something I really want. However, when you’re only dealing with 4 spirits, it makes for a very slow beginning and kind of asks a lot for the player to keep playing through this frustration. Especially since the loading screen mentions that some tasks may take days to complete and I’m just picturing that will go.

### 4/5 — Cute and enjoyable. Hate the daily barricade.

*2021-06-30, version 2.0.0*

I really like this game, I really do. Yea it has some annoyances, which they’ve slowly been fixing and I appreciate that immensely.
My biggest issue is that it’s an every day game and a LONG one at that…. It’s like if you wanted animal crossing to have something new every single day for 2+ months. I know I’m not particularly close to finishing the game, but I’m also on day 50 and I’m just kinda going crazy. I have ADHD and I tend to like to zone out on a game for hours and finish it so I can move on to other things. I wish these style games would include an end the day option rather than force you to time travel. I mean, why does it need to be on a daily schedule? I don’t really like having to log in every day for fractions of a story, I’d much rather be able to play over a few hours and through multiple days at a time and finish the story faster. I enjoy it, so I’ll keep playing, but logging in daily for the foreseeable future…. Ugh…. It just feels so daunting. I fear I’ll get over logging in every day and never finish the story.

### 3/5 — Fun and relaxing but…

*2021-06-07, version 1.8.1*

Update: the game goes on longer each day with more missions as you play. However too many changes are coming to fast in updates. An update happened overnight and I lost about 28 flames I collected. I was two flames away from another bear and now I have to start over because the update messed something up.

This game looks great. It is fun and a relaxing type of game that is easy to figure out and progress. However you hit a point where you are told there is nothing more to do until tomorrow. It literally means come back tomorrow. I don’t want to have to stop playing a game I am enjoying and have to be forced to continue tomorrow. I can see a few minutes while the day changes in the game. This is a very frustrating feature. I get it might be there to keep kids off a screen for extended periods but at this rate the game will take a month to finish and I’ll be bored with it by then.

### 5/5 — Obsessed. Play daily.

*2021-06-03, version 1.7.1*

Day 60+ LOVE this game. PLEASE consider: it’s *really* hard to make every animal/plants happy if the land moves every day. Please consider moving weekly. Also: you have fixed (most) unfair requirements. You have to know I have 3 spaces (each) of deer and bird spirits but NEVER IMP spirits. I have 5 total, when I have 150+ of deer and bird (each). Please consider: giving more Imp spirits, or stop requiring it when making bread AND when buying plants daily. Also: there’s no way to “reduce” joyous Imp spirit. I need basic so I can buy daily plants. You have 8 daily chances to get 24 bird/deer daily. Then one or two Imps. And most times you only get coins. We need more Imps, or need to change ways to buy/bake items OR the ability to reduce the most expensive Imp spirits to basic levels. Thanks!! One more thing: PLEASE start the Multiples button at the beginning. When you have 400 and only want 3 it’s annoying. Also, it’s faster on the controller but not by screen touch?!

### 5/5 — Lovely game! A suggestion

*2021-06-03, version 1.7.1*

I disagree with the other reviewers about the daily-check-in style of progress, i think that it is fine, this just can’t be the only game you’re playing at a time. Once you get more ghosts there is plenty of things to do, an hour or two at least of gameplay each day, which is perfect.

My one problem is that when crafting multiple items, there is no slider. We have to manually tap down one at a time from the highest crafting amount, which is unrealistic to do if we only want to craft ten or so things and the max is 300. It’s annoying, and I would be very pleased if a crafting slider was implemented, or even just a min/max button so it will take less clicks.

Edit: Also separate storage for stored furniture like there is for clothes would be useful

### 4/5 — Amazing game with a simple flaw

*2021-05-28, version 1.7.1*

I love this game and it’s concept but I’m getting endlessly frustrated by two things: trying to select an object like an animal or a fruit tree, and the inventory functions. Constantly while scrolling in the Put Stuff in Storage menu, or while just looking through my backpack, it will exit me from the log of stuff because I accidentally touch the background. This also is an issue with when you are trying to craft multiple of an item, you have to individually tap how many of an item you want. I have almost 2000 of the basic gems, so when trying to craft an upgraded gem the first option it gives me is to craft almost 400 of the semi-precious gem. I have tried and given up tapping all the way back to the 100 I want to craft. It’s ridiculous that the most frustrating thing in this game is something that should be a simple mechanic. Make it so that you type in the number you want to craft, or can hold press the arrow for how many you want to craft. On menus where you scroll, make it so that you have to touch an X to leave the menu. It’s so sad that the most irritating thing in this game isn’t the resource searches, but just using your inventory.

### 5/5 — Each update makes it better

*2021-05-11, version 1.6.2*

This game was fantastic, if a little time consuming, when I first discovered it, but it keeps getting better with each new update. And they’re updates for things that I was only mentally whinging about... like the similar art for the roasted fruits and veg, or the insane cost of the master shovel, how weird the guide dots line up for fishing, or how cheaply Mr Fox buys sea shells, even the legendary ones, and even the gem upgrades. I’m certain someone said something to them and they listened to the feedback.
Yes, some quests take a while, but it’s worth it for this game that isn’t just a fluff piece, it’s a work of art with some serious undertones.
TL;DR: this game is the reason I’m keeping Apple Arcade.

### 4/5 — Good but frustrating

*2021-05-07, version 1.6.2*

I like the game a lot. It’s easy and simple. It’s nice to log in and do a few tasks then log out and not play for hours. Tasks are usually simple, but the tasks with a ton of hardwood are killing me. I spent about a week gathering 50 hardwood for Francesca Duclaw. Now I’m about 4 or 5 days in gathering 100 hardwood for Jeremy Gruffle and I’m at 48. I have a decent size garden too with plants at 3 leaves for the majority. This includes: 14 flowering bushes, 11 nut trees, 29 flowering bushes, 6 berry bushes, and 14 fruit trees. Can’t upgrade anything anymore, because I spend a ton of money on trees and bushes to get hardwood. Not enough leave piles pop up a day (even checking in at different hours) to even come close to completing in a couple days or a week. Again like the game and most quest. But there either needs to be more hardwood spawns from grass piles, trees, flowers, or bushes or lower hardwood requirements or easier to make hardwood. Also around day 45 and only getting 1-2 logs a day so it take forever to get a new bear.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — At the beginning game is fabulous

*2021-10-11, version 3.0.0*

I am now on day 111 of this game. I have thoroughly enjoyed playing this. It is one that I can play, put down, and pick up to enjoy later. Love the tasks, love the unique story. And now comes the “but”. I was approaching, what it seemed by tasks completed, the last 1/3 or 1/4 of the game and it began shutting down on me mid play. It started shutting down more and more often each time I played, so I checked to see if my tablet needed updating. I also checked to see if the game needed updating and saw some “additions” were added to the play. That’s great, but now I barely get to begin the tasks and it crashes immediately. To add to this immense frustration is the length of time it takes to reload the game. What should be a 1/2 hour span of play time has begun to take an hour or much more if I want to try to complete the tasks in one sitting. All because of multiple shut downs and reloading each and every time. And sometimes I need to redo the tasks I had just completed because the crash occurred before saving my play. A really fun game has become a frustrating experience each time I attempt to play. In the beginning I would have given it 5 stars. Now, if I could give a negative score I would. FIX THE CRASHING PROBLEM.

### 1/5 — If you like grinding, you’ll love this game

*2021-05-24, version 1.7.1*

I really want to like this game. The graphics are fine. The overall design and concept is fine. I am even fine with the limited number of daily quests and quests that require multiple days to complete. I was even going to give this game a positive review…
That is, until the recent update. The visual indicators of bears with quest in progress is gone after the update. Why? Yet, the issue of not being able to always select objects or having NPCs standing near them and making them unselectable is still not fixed. It has been in the game since day one. Worst still, at some point, the daily grind for objects of quests without any hint, like the motorcycle keys. Sure, multi~day quest, no problem, it’ll eventually show up. But still, not even a hint of what it involves? Somehow, this even infected the timed quests. “Look for nine litter items.” And…? That’s it. Look for nine litter items. Where? Who? Behind something? Buried? Clue from the quest bear? “Ask Pine bear for help.” Pine bear: “there are no hidden items.” Arrrrghhhhh! I will not spend hours daily to run around the island hoping I’ll accidentally trip over a quest item. I will, however, uninstall the game.

### 1/5 — Broken save file

*2021-05-13, version 1.7.1*

Honestly, I would give this game a higher rating, if it didn’t have so many issues. If you do choose to play, be aware that you could lose all of your progress and hard work at any point. It’s a slow game and you only have a limited amount of things you can do per day - but I enjoyed that for the most part. I could look forward to unwinding and having particular tasks to complete each day. The game was pretty buggy for me (crashing multiple times per day), but I just brushed that off and kept playing. I put in 1-2 hours per day for 42 days when the save file finally broke. It crashed again, as per usual, and I tried to open it up and start again to no avail. I couldn’t access my save file. I tried everything I could think of (restarting my device, uninstalling/reinstalling, etc.) and it never worked. I messaged in the Discord Group and emailed with Cozy Grove support and no one knew what was going on. Everyone recommended starting a new save file, however, the game has little to no replay value since the story progression is exactly the same and very slow. I have a few friends who have played the game and they have experienced plenty of bugs too. With the state the game is in currently, I wouldn’t recommend it.

### 1/5 — Spend days collecting items, only for them to disappear

*2021-04-08, version 1.5.1*

I just spent days collecting items for a quest only to login and find them disappeared from my camp. Now I have to start all over again. This game is supposed to be fun and relaxing and instead it's as frustrating as my job, which is the whole reason I was playing the game in the first place. They give you like 20% of the storage you need to play this game (and then they want you to pay-in game to get more storage) and when you put items in a place you think is safe, they disappear. Not happy.

Other items of note: would be nice to be able to zoom out and see the whole island, especially as the island gets bigger and it's harder to find things. Sometimes clicking is totally unresponsive, and other times you click on something and it selects everything around the item before selecting the thing you originally clicked on. When you drop items, stuff never drops in a consistent position relative to the avatar, so it's really difficult to make neat rows if you need to drop stuff around camp (which you do, because the storage you get is completely insufficient). Also the music gets repetitive.

### 2/5 — BROKEN TOOLS—11 Relic Dust Needed to Repair but NONE Available

*2021-08-07, version 2.2.0*

You spend very little time actually helping spirits. Ran out of relic dust to repair tools; Shovel, Pickaxe, & Machete cannot be repaired (11 Relic ASH Needed to Repair these TOOLS -plus- One Spirit Request requires 8 Relic ASH … Another Spirit Request Request Requires 1 Relic) … That’s 20 RARE Relics Needed to continue this game and the DOWSER Rod for LOCATING relics has NEVER WORKED even tho I’ve tried daily. I GIVE UP … with tools that CAN’T be repaired, it’s pretty useless trying to play this game and it would take a VERY LONG TIME to acquire 20 Relics (plus any additional/new ones that may be required each day). You may have to wait many many days/weeks for some of the items needed to help the spirits so you spend most of your time REPEATEDLY digging holes, pickaxing rocks, or chopping down shrubs (but with broken, unrepairable tools you cannot even do this).

### 2/5 — Unnecessarily Tedious

*2021-05-19, version 1.7.1*

I wanted to like this game because the illustration style is super cute, but it’s basically just a moribund version of Animal Crossing, with a built-in tedium that I found absolutely unnecessary. It’s a game about running around looking for things and then delivering them to the NPC who requested them, which is fine, but for whatever reason the developers saw fit to severely limit the number of individual items that can be carried and stored. Since you’re perpetually inundated with objects you’ve collected, this means you are constantly forced to figure out ways to dispose of them. After you run out of storage you’re left with no option but to make piles on the ground. This wouldn’t be so bad, either, except that the developers saw fit to have the terrain change constantly, which means that what you place on the ground today may very well be hidden behind something the next day. I see this storage issue as a completely arbitrary and unpleasant feature (not a bug) of the game. That’s basically sadism.

### 2/5 — Animal Crossing Ripoff

*2021-04-10, version 1.5.1*

This game is a straight ripoff of Animal Crossing. Sounds, style, gameplay... everything. I guess the storyline is kind of different, but not really in any meaningful way.
The controls are garbage. While selecting things in your inventory, sometimes you’ll randomly just start running off, closing your inventory and discarding anything you’ve been doing. You can’t really place things precisely enough to decorate at all. When you try to move to a location near another object, 90% of the time you run over to the object and it opens a dialogue box that takes up half of the screen. You can’t ever select the object you really want to because something next to it is always in the way.
Why do developers insist on requiring hours and hours of fishing as a way to “extend gameplay”? Making me sit and wait for a fish to swim back and forth halfway across the screen 4 times doesn’t add value or make the experience more enjoyable. It’s annoying and boring.
Whose idea was it to prioritize the in-game music over something a person actually wants to listen to? Maybe if I could listen to an audiobook instead of your repetitive soundtrack over and over I wouldn’t feel like I was wasting my life away trying to catch a billion fish to complete the collection.

### 2/5 — Limited play time

*2021-03-31, version 1.4.0*

UPDATE:
Still getting discouraged with this game. I am in need of a tea egg which consists of 1 boiled egg. Only problem: I need 12 regular eggs to craft the boiled egg. Each day I’m able to purchase only 1 egg from the store. So to get just ONE item for the tea egg recipe, I need to play 12 days to get these stupid eggs. I’m also unable to feed my birds for the happy bird essence because they require pretty advanced food. And guess what? Those also need eggs! I really like this game and it brings me joy to play it everyday even though I’m not a fan of “come back tomorrow!” games. But like many other players have stated, I don’t know how much patience I have to continue. I’m still early in the game so it makes me wonder; when the stories advance even more, am I going to be stuck waiting WEEKS to craft a recipe or finish a task?

Great game, lots of potential. Soothing and interactive but like others have mentioned, you are limited on play time. I understand having certain things like the fruits and leave piles re spawn every few hours but not after 24 hours. If there were more side quests or activities to do in between the main story I think the game would be awesome. I get bored quickly (surely I’m not the only one) and I usually dislike these come back later games. I play it for a day or two and then I find no incentive to go back and play. Really hope the developers take this into consideration

### 2/5 — Not for the goal-oriented or animal lovers

*2021-03-26, version 1.3.0*

I agree with everyone else on the terrible time gates. But what’s more frustrating is the disparity between resource requirements and availability. I’m on Day 8. I currently have four birds that are starving because the only food that they will accept requires a 200k upgrade to the shop. The only resource plentifully available is fish, from which, combined with gathered goods, I can earn about 10k a day assuming no other purchases.

Resource management is also impossible, because with each storyline unlock, new resources become essential that weren’t previously. The relative value of items / coins / gems is a complete mystery, confounded by the shop system under which different items require different currencies. So the player is left guessing: Should I donate this item, or save it, or craft with it, or sell it? Should I delete this game now, or hope for future improvements?

### 3/5 — It’s okay

*2021-07-13, version 2.1.0*

The game is a cute mix between Animal Crossing and Spiritfarer, but has a lot of flaws compared to those games. While the summer update fix a lot of my issues, it’s still not really doing it for me. I’m almost 100 days into the game and I’ve been trying to collect 150 hardwoods for a quest for a week so far. I’m only at 115 and I started off with 75 of them so it’ll probably be another week before I can finish that quest which is kind of crazy. I have plenty of fruit trees, bushes, etc but at this point I’m resorting to collecting 100 branches to make 10 softwood just to make one hardwood cuz I almost never get them out of my trees nor from the leaf piles that seem to pop up less and less each day. Also, the fact that the terrain changes sporadically makes it hard to decorate the island cuz the next day there might be trees blocking your decorations. I’m not sure why that’s a feature of the game cuz trees don’t just move in real life. I really want to like this game because the stories are cute and I LOVE the graphics, it just doesn’t feel complete.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love this game

*2022-11-29, version 5.2.0*

I’ve been playing almost daily for a few months now and I really have enjoyed all the little stories the Bears on the island have. A lot of them cover darker topics that are a part of our lives, but it never feels ‘edgey’ or inappropriate. Seeing the island slowly come to ‘life’ while you expand and grow is very rewarding.

The devs already announced they were making a sequel and that’s great! I want to see more in this world. My only complaints are minor nitpicky things such as better searching in crafting menus, being able to sort the recipes by ‘new’ to let me clear out the red exclamation points, and things like that. I realize it’s too late to get such things for this game, but I hope they are still reading feedback to include in the next one. Definitely give this game a shot! It’s a very enjoyable game.

### 5/5 — Game glitch

*2022-08-28, version 5.2.0*

I genuinely enjoy this game and find it adorable. I love the story and the cutesy design. However I’ve been noticing a problem with my gameplay I don’t know if it’s happened with anybody else. Where half of my screen will not allow me to walk in that direction it does not respond to me touching it or my pen touching it my character is only able to walk to one side of the screen even if I click on the left side it walks in the opposite direction.I would play this game more if it allowed me to play without this problem. i’ve also checked to see if this happened on any other apps I had it and it hasn’t occurred on any other ones in my tablet response fine for everything else. which forces me to believe that this is something wrong with the app itself and it’s such a shame I wish it would get fixed

### 5/5 — My nightly relaxation

*2022-07-07, version 5.2.0*

I have been playing Cozy Grove for over 120 game days now. Yes, in the beginning it can require some patience. But you don’t have to play the next day, or even the day after. Its there when you want it.

I find the game play incredibly relaxing and straightforward. I do occasionally touch a spot on the screen accidentally and it sends my scout off in the wrong direction, but I think most of those bugs have been worked out. It’s deceptively simple and, unlike similar games, there’s an empathy to it that’s quite extraordinary.

I grow to love each and every bear, even the ones I was CERTAIN I wouldn’t care for. I never thought I’d begin to actually care about characters in a casual iPad game.

For those who feel like it requires too much patience - it does require patience, not just at the beginning. Sometimes you just have to wait for a character to give you something another characters needs. So there is patience involved. I wouldn’t say too much, however. And, without sounding like that person, I think the game has made me more patient for playing it. It’s not instant gratification. I’ve had quests last for weeks and I’m okay with it.

Thank you for making Cozy Grove. I sorta feel like I’ve actually visited.

### 5/5 — Beautiful game with beautiful stories

*2022-06-20, version 5.1.0*

I’ve been playing for a year now, and I never thought I’d cry at an Apple Arcade game. The beautiful story is about ghosts (ghost bears to be precise) who can’t find peace and you must help them in a variety of ways, mostly involving hidden objects. The stories are powerful, moving, even funny! They’re also all kid friendly though they do discuss mature themes like single parenthood, disability, mental illness, addiction and the guilt, indignation, and struggle that can stem from these things. It’s real in a beautiful and meaningful way. This is hands down the best game I’ve ever played that wasn’t on Steam or Console. My one tiny complaint? Sometimes when trees and plants are close together it’s hard to select them individually.

### 5/5 — Beautiful Game, Starts slow but give it time!

*2021-08-27, version 2.3.0*

UPDATE: After playing this game more and unlocking more bears, I’ve come to find that there is a lot more to this game than I originally thought. The quests get more involved and take more time to complete.

I think this game is so much fun and the art style is absolutely beautiful. I would have rated this a 5 star game but I docked 1 star because I think it needs a little bit more. The one thing I would want changed is to have more quests. There are main storyline quests but you only get so many a day and I usually finish them pretty quick. I would love some side quests to do in the meantime.

### 5/5 — Absolutely adore

*2021-08-24, version 2.3.0*

I love this game! The graphics are so cute, and I love the way the character you play looks and how you can hug the bears(and seagull)!! My only complaint is that there are not enough quests, imo, in the day, I love all the quests that are given, and mind you I haven’t played for very long, two days, and I have just been burning through all the quests I’m given within an hour. Which kind of leaves me with nothing to do in game, yes I could fish for rarer fish, or hunt for seashells and decorate, but I like to decorate as I play, like figure out as I go, and yeah fishing is fun, but you can’t do that for hours and not get bored. But! I do understand why the creators wouldn’t put more quests in, it helps create the effect that you actually have to build a relationship with the creatures, which of course irl won’t happen overnight, and in a game shouldn’t either. So all in all, I absolutely adore this game!! :D

### 5/5 — Played 90+ days, just an amazing experience!

*2021-06-25, version 2.0.0*

I’ve played this game since 3/19, when it first launched on AA and it has been a pure delight to play from the beginning! I didn’t think I would like life sim games until playing this one and I think it comes down to the meaningful story core of helping the spirit bears recover their memories of their lives so that they can find some closure and move on. The dev team is so committed to this game and they are always listening to the community. We’ve been treated to QOL update after update and recently got a huge content update. Love the hand-drawn art and the beautiful soundtrack. Keeping my AA subscription for this game for sure :) I personally have had no performance issues besides some minor lagging.

### 5/5 — Most chill game I own

*2021-06-18, version 1.8.1*

I have over 90 days invested in this game. 😂 some days I play for hours. Some days maybe 30 mins. Each day is a fun new experience, timed quests (until end of day), spirit animals to be fed and petted, story quests trying to discover the story behind each bear, decorations and trees to be moved around, etc. The developers are amazing and are listening to feedback in the discord channels. Many concerns and frustrations from early days have been mitigated and solved by updates. The big summer update is releasing on June 23 and introduces a new part time character and some new interactions and mini games.
It is kinda like animal crossing but with less capitalism. 😁😍

### 5/5 — New update fixes most issues I had

*2021-06-09, version 1.8.1*

Thank you for the new update! The UI adjustments make it way easier to manage inventory, which was my main complaint (although even before the update, the issues weren’t bad enough to stop me from playing for 30 days in a row). It’s not perfect (Flamey storage still doesn’t auto-stack like items, for example), but it doesn’t stop enjoyment of the game. I’ve adjusted to only having 45-60 minutes of playable content a day, which was tough to get over- it’s so good I wanted to just play non-stop. But it’s become a morning ritual to log in and do a little questing, complete a collection, and do some fishing. It’s lovely!

### 5/5 — My honest opinion…

*2021-06-05, version 1.8.1*

I’ll try to make this short….I LOVE this game….It’s different and unique and the art is just perfect. It’s a newish game so it’s not perfect…yet. Stick with it even if the controls frustrate you or if some other things need fixing/adjusting! The devs are amazing…the updates are pretty frequent and they always listen to the players. Every update has addressed so many things that needed it, it’s been spot on. So I know it’s just going to keep getting better. Cozy Grove is one of the only reasons I keep my Arcade subscription honestly. It’s so relaxing and I like the music. So I look forward to more great updates and playing until It ends!!!!
