The iPhone app contains a step-by-step guide to the CPR steps as recommended by the American Red Cross. Additional details of the CPR steps can be found on the American Red Cross website.

The Apple Watch App is programmed to time 100 beats per minute. Please adjust the timing accordingly to each person.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t time correctly

*2021-08-09*

I have it set to 100 CR and it only signals about 1 a second. So this is of no use :(

### 1/5 — Good concept too slow

*2020-01-16*

The compression tempo is way too slow to keep someone alive. Please speed it up might be a very useful tool.

**Developer response:** This is fixed in the latest version (1.4)!

### 1/5 — Rate appears incorrect

*2018-12-28*

I was hoping for a good pacing app on my watch, but it seemed awfully slow at 100bpm. After fiddling around with it I found that 60 and 65 bpm was good, but from 70 on up it was much too slow. I uninstalled it and will keep doing it mentally.

**Developer response:** This is fixed in the latest version (1.4)!

### 2/5 — Ok- turns off when the screen goes off

*2018-12-01*

This is super easy to use but unfortunately the haptic feedback stops once the Apple Watch screen goes black. This is really unhelpful especially as the whole point is to get metronome assistance hands free.

### 1/5 — Less than useful

*2018-11-23*

I would agree that the rate appears to be off on the watch version of the app.

**Developer response:** This is fixed in the latest version (1.4)!

### 1/5 — Terrible in emergency...click through a bunch of stuff and it tells you need Apple Watch

*2018-06-20*

The way this is advertised is a liability

### 5/5 — Exactly as advertised

*2018-02-28*

The watch app is perfect. Just took a CPR class, the instructor was quite impressed. Thanks for putting it out there.

### 1/5 — Do not download

*2017-12-03*

The compression rate is TOTALLY off! The rate of “ 140 “ on here is really 64 bpm.... DO NOT TRUST!

### 2/5 — Ehh

*2017-06-11*

Gives you good information but you have to use an Apple Watch which I don't have. This would let me down in an emergency situation.

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2016-12-05*

This APP simply doesn't work. Just tried it out with one of my many CPR training dummies to no avail. I have a series 2 Apple Watch. Nor, does it meet AHA or Red Cross guidelines. I will be reporting this APP to the American Red Cross legal department for further review. As a Firefighter/Medic and BLS CPR instructor for both the Red Cross and AHA... I would recommend taking a FREE hands-only CPR class over relying on this app to perform proper CPR compressions during a medical emergency.

Untrained bystanders should still call 911 and provide Hands-Only CPR, or CPR without breaths, pushing hard and fast in the center of the chest to the rate of 100-120 compressions per minute.
