El CR-CAFÉ permite que productores y extensionista de Café de Costa Rica tengan acceso a las siguientes características y herramientas en su teléfono:
• Perfil básico de identidad de productor(a) de café
• Caracterización de las fincas y lotes que incluye ubicación por GPS, identificación de variedades, especies de árboles, prácticas culturales, y registro fotográfico
• Sistemas de alerta de enfermedades y clima específicas a su ubicación
• Estimador de cosecha 
• Dosificador de productos agroquímicos
• Sistema para monitorear diferentes enfermedades
• Hoja de visita técnica y recomendaciones
• Configuración para utilizar sin internet
El uso correcto y constante de las herramientas permite un mejor manejo del cafetal y apoyo en la toma de decisiones que podrían traducirse en un aumento de la productividad y disminución de costos a nivel de finca.
