Then tried to delete stored data. Three years of it and had to delete day at a time. Uninstalled app. Reinstalled. Can not sign in. Could not. Tried reregister and EVERY Email I tried to use the app said that email has been used. Now cannot sign in or re-register??? Heck. ### 3/5 — Needs iOS 9 fix *2020-02-02, version 1.6.11* I have the scale and wish it connected to Apple health kit. You would get 5 ⭐️if it did ### 3/5 — Start up is a pain *2017-12-11, version 1.6.4* So I got this thing at aldis turned it on and it stated no pairing with blue tooth. So ok I download the app. The app states you have to register first. I type in all my info and find that it will not register. Ugh well taking it back is not an option so I found out that you have to register online on their website and not by the app. Ok that was the first problem. Now I went back to the app and logged in. (WOW that took an hour to figure out) Next problem is that the device does not pair on the blue tooth. So yeah I figured out how to hold down the button to get it to pair. But you have to tell it to pair on the watch and the Crainconnect app pair now button at the same time otherwise it does not pair. So I’m writing this so other people don’t have to go through this. What a poor design in the APP. Should just say you must register online. I think the problem may be you’re not a robot feature of the website and it somehow ties into that. Cheers. ### 4/5 — App Is Using 4 GB of Storage *2017-06-20, version 1.5.8* I'm on my second Activity Tracker and second iPhone running the app. After about 2 years of use, the app is using just over 4 GB of storage space on my iPhone. Is there any way to reduce this? I am running out of storage space, and only my iTunes library uses more space than this app. Otherwise it works well enough, although syncing the device can be flaky. ### 4/5 — Crashing is fixed in iOS 10.3.2 *2017-06-10, version 1.5.8* I was also having the crashing problem others reported, but after I updated my phone to iOS 10.3.2 the app works again so I can fairly review it. It's a decent fitness app for the price you pay for the tracker. It doesn't sync with Apple's HealthKit or MyFitnessPal, which I see as big drawbacks. But the tracker is affordable and I think it's a good way to try one out to see if you like it/would use it before investing in a better one. ### 2/5 — Pairing *2017-01-07, version 1.5.1* Hello, I am new to this and having problems figuring this tracker out. When I try to pair device with my IPad it starts the process then an x appears. Why? I downloaded the app. but I guess it is not working because it is not paired? Works fine. ### 4/5 — Great product, app could use more detail *2016-01-07, version 1.3.2* I purchased the activity tracker from Aldis and it is a fantastic value. 35$ for what 3 times cost would give me on another brand. Everything worked great out of box. The app works well too. Only thing I would like to be is allow you to drill into the sleep recorded data to within a 5 minute intervals or better, I like to see the times when I wake in middle of night. Right now if you look it is a static chart over a whole period of time. As well other portions of recorded data could be elaborated on more. ### 4/5 — Works Great!! *2016-01-03, version 1.3.2* I had absolutely no problem syncing my device with my phone. I have not experienced any glitches as of yet; all is running fine so far. I am using the iPhone 6s+ to run this app. One of the videos had a few interruptions, but that was it. ### 2/5 — 😩😩😩 *2015-12-29, version 1.3.2* App crashes when logging in ! Still works online but i was looking forward to using the app! ### 4/5 — Need to register online!!!! *2015-12-17, version 1.3.1* I had the same problem as the other reviews here.... I found that I could register online at the Crane site, and then use that login information in the app. This way you can bypass the register error the app encounters. I have the scale. The app synced with the scale just fine and immediately updated my phone with the info. So it seems to run really well with the scale. That's all I can speak for, no other products. Four stars for the scale/app interface. I took one off for the frustration of having to figure the registration error out on my own... ### 2/5 — App crashes soon after it is opened *2015-11-20, version 1.3.0* The crash issue started recently. I don't remember when exactly. It's getting worse and worse. This morning I was still able to connect and record my weight. However by evening, it crashed immediately after it was opened. I tried to closed the app, exited the app, power off my iPhone. I sent it back with the dated receipt and guarantee form. I emailed the company when I had not heard from them after a month. They ignored my email. ### 1/5 — HR monitor could have been great *2018-03-31, version 1.6.8* This app could have been really amazing if they just added Apple health kit compatibility. I just want this to go in with all my other apps into Apple health. Please add this capability! The device itself works great. The app is so so. They couldn't help so apparently they give up and stop trouble shooting. I thought that since it's been awhile since Apple Health had been out that they would add the ability to sync to it. That's a big fat NOPE! One would think that if a company is going to create fitness products that they would want all the details and info they could get out of those products. Such a shame. UPDATE: Just released the new update. Does it have Apple Health sync? No! Have I heard back from support in regard to the scale issue? No! Will I ever purchase another Crane product? No! I did purchase the activity tracker. Funny how it was saying I was walking AND running when I had it laying on our counter top to charge. No it wasn't moving and it said I had walked two miles during the night. This happened every night. I owned it for one week and returned it for a refund. JUNK and HORRIBLE customer service! UPDATE 2: Yet another update and still no opt-in to sync the data with Apple Health. I sent another support email to which I'm still waiting on a reply after three weeks. How hard is it to put customers first? ### 1/5 — Doesn't share info w/ Apple Health App *2016-01-26, version 1.3.4* I've used this since it came out and still no update to also sharing of data with Apple Health App. WHAT A SHAME! Crane has many tools which could benefit the user greatly if the app would simply SHARE!!! Grade schoolers have it figured out but not this developer!!! ### 1/5 — Horrible *2016-01-06, version 1.3.2* This is the worst app, ever! Had to contact them for a confirmation email and that took 18 hours from time a signed up. After that when trying to sign in the app crashes every time. Haven't opened it once. If they had a zero star that's what I'd give them! I have iPhone 6s plus, so it's not the phone. While attempting to register using a PC, I realized that this product doesn't have a heart rate monitor. I received an email from support that I can now use the app at 5:30am, never received the automated email with the link for verification. I am NOT purchasing the device, they are terrible I am glad I downloaded the app to check it out before I purchased the device. I registered and have been waiting over 2 hours for a conformation email to verify my account. I have checked junk mail folder as well and verified that I put in my email correctly. I will see if it is there I. The morning, if not I am not buying the device ### 1/5 — Epic fail *2015-12-05, version 1.3.1* I think I'm experiencing the same issue as the one other review here. I complete the registration form and click to register and get a never-ending spinning wheel telling me to Wait. I shut down the app and tried logging in the the registration creds and I don't exist in the system. Tried registering again 2 more times changing some input data on the registration form and same thing. App does everything I need it to, connect to my activity monitor, sync, show collected data... Etc. I wrote Crane support, who said the newest version of iOS 9 had to be updated on my iPhone 4S. Worked like a charm! Had little trouble at first getting unit to start but contacted customer support and they got back immediately telling me to press reset button on back. Once that was done, everything lit up and it was ready to go. ### 5/5 — Good value! *2016-01-04, version 1.3.2* Bought the Crane Activity Tracker at Aldi's on sale for $35, figured it would be an inexpensive way to judge fitness bands. The fitness band works with this app, I'm using it on an iPhone 5 with iOS 9, the Bluetooth sync is quick and easy, the fitness data displays with steps, calories, distance, workout time, and it also tracks sleep, very similar to Fitbit Charge for less than half price, works well enough if you're not sure you want to buy more expensive fitness bands. ### 5/5 — Activity tracker *2015-07-25, version 1.2.1* I contacted customer support with the issues I and others had been having with the app not working and device not pairing up. They responded to try to turn off Bluetooth and turn on again and delete and reinstall app. When I told them I had done that multiple times they then said to expect an e-mail with a link to the app in test flight and to let them know if I still experienced an issue. I downloaded app from e-mail and within seconds, my unit paired to my iPad. Their customer service went above and beyond to help me since this unit has a clip also since I can't wear a watch to work. If you are still having issues, I suggest you contact customer service. ### 5/5 — Works! IFFFFF...... *2015-07-17, version 1.2.1* You have to put your address and turn on location services. I first tried to do it without turning those on and putting my address in and I could not login online and register. As soon as I turn on location services and put my address in I was able to register and Bluetooth my scale.
