Also the leaderboards are false unless these people have used a unlimited torpedo fuel hack. Still fun. Not too challenging on easy but a real struggle on hard. I don’t think it’s been updated in a while but works on latest OS, so I’d still suggest. Also - NO in-game purchases or ads! I hate those games and delete them quickly. That’s part of why I’ve kept this so long. ### 3/5 — 色々残念 *2020-12-14* 敵の艦同士が衝突しても被害なしで「押される」かたちで進行方向が変わるだけ。敵艦の思考も衝突回避とかないので、護衛艦の数が多いと、 (他のレヴューにもあるように)こちらの現在位置に向かってほぼ全艦が突進 →団子状態になる(この時点でリアリズム崩壊w) →護衛艦の幾つかが横一列に並んで押し合いながら田植え機のように爆雷投下(もはや何をシミュレーとしてるのか不明w) というような感じになって萎えます。 ここさえ改善されればとてもいいのですが… ### 4/5 — Das Spiel ist gut aber es kann besser gehen. *2020-09-05* Ich mag dieses Spiel das ist anlich wie silent hunter aber ich würde gerne mer Kamera Perspektiven haben bitte und das man z.b. Wolfsrudeln herbeirufen oder die dich anfunken können oder Flugzeuge dich angreifen können und Flugzeuge dich helfen können einen Geleitzug zu finden und auch angreifen können und das man auch freundliche Schiffe haben kann z.b. die Bismarck oder dieGraf Spee oder die Admiral Hipper und so weiter weil sonst der spieler ziemlich einsam ist oder man könnte auch andere U-boote haben z.b. Denn typ 2,typ 9 oder den typ 21. Mann könnte auch das U-boot modifizieren wie z.b. Einen besseren Motor oder einnen Radar oder leistungsfähigere battarin oder besser turm für mehr flak oder eine flakanone man könnte auch u-flottillen haben manche in Frankreich,Norwegen und Deutschland. Man könnte auch die Karte größer machen damit die Langstrecken U-boote z.b. der typ 9 auch sin macht. könntet ihr auch Medaillen machen bitte wen man z.b. eine bestimmte tonaghe erreicht hat das man medallien bekommen kann bitte? Das ist sehr fiel ich weiß aber das Spiel ist gut aber es geht besser denn wenn ich das Spiel heute spiele dan fühle ich mich sehr einsam. Ich habe noch was vergessen könntet ihr auch andere Wetter Bedingungen machen bitte den es were sehr geil wenn man auch z.b. im Sturm einnen Geleitzug angreifen kann. ### 5/5 — Great Game *2020-06-11* I played this game years ago as Silent Service on PC and now it’s even better as Crash Dive. When I try to rectify by hitting the starboard button the sub will again stay on hard starboard. So to steer in a straight line I have to constantly alternate between port and starboard and zig zag to a new course. This makes battle sometimes impossible on hard setting. Good graphics and realism. A lot of care has been put into this game. Map feature very helpful. Easy to resupply and continue with the patrols. People are using the extremely long fields for name entry, to make many offensively hateful political messages. ### 1/5 — What?!? *2018-10-01* This game has nice, not great, graphics but could be better. Accuracy of ship maneuvering is crap. I’ve never heard of a corvette doing what appears to be 30+ knots while the sub is slower than molasses. Additionally, the turning radius of these ships are ridiculous. A corvette, although fairly maneuverable, didn’t turn around its funnel. The corvettes in the game can shove a 26,000 ton ship with ease and run down the side of said ship dropping depth charges the entire time. Also, at periscope depth the corvettes should have a MORE DIFFICULT time locating the boat with ASDIC, not an easier time. Other than the above, which makes the game inaccurate and less fun to play, it is an “ok” play, but be aware you will have a difficult time applying actual u-boat tactics because it’s just not realistic. I mean, I sunk a Queen Elizabeth class battleship with the boat’s deck gun. ### 1/5 — Not even close! *2018-04-21, version 1.5.53* Poorly written sim which is more a arcade game. Note to designers, escort ships do not turn on a dime like rally cars running cones! It’s gameplay mechanics are easy to learn but there still remains a certain degree of difficulty within the game itself. Great to pass some spare time with. Certainly educational on the more nuanced aspects of the Second World War. ### 5/5 — The good old days *2021-09-05* When I was younger (so much younger than today…) I bought a game called WolfPack. You had to download it on to your ancient PC using 3.5” discs. That’s how long ago it was! Crash Dive harkens back to that wonderful game that I used to play for hours back in the day. The graphics in Crash Dive are better, not quite as pixelated, but the gameplay is very similar with the same level of tension as you loose a torpedo at the enemy and then execute a dive/turn and throw out your decoys before the escorts can spoil your day with their depth-charges. I haven’t tried to dive really deep yet but I bet you’ll start hearing the creaking and the occasional popping of a rivet. The game is very realistic but doesn’t bog you down with the technicalities of operating ‘Das Boot.’ My only wish? That your sub could actually be part of a pack, coordinating movements and electing targets. You can almost smell the oil! ### 5/5 — Great submarine game! *2021-04-28* This is one of my favorite 2 or 3 games on the ipad. Great details, lots of attention to accuracy. I keep coming back like a moth to a flame. The graphics are fun and detailed and I really get the feeling of stalking prey while creeping up on a convoy and planning my attack.
