I enjoy the easy quests when you first play and I adore the characters you can get when playing said quests. I think the only thing I don’t like is how much data you’ll have to download to play the game, so be ready if that’s ok with you. At first I didn’t like how back then I had difficulty understanding the game and how each special character you win was very hard to grab so I stopped for a while, but then I started playing again on a new account accidentally and got back into it. I totally recommend this game to anyone who loves a simple color match game but with a great twist to it! Have fun guys! ### 4/5 — Day one player *2023-03-02* Launch player and have played off and on after 3 years of really grinding. Really have enjoyed where they’ve taken the game in its design/art, and collabs. Polygons are not hard to come by any mean if you play consistently, only wish the characters you get after months of grinding for polygons would not get power crept so quickly, I understand it’s to keep adding gimmicks and new challenges but maybe giving some love to older characters would make returning players feel better about their boxes when coming back to check the state of the game. If you plan to play rank and get top spot I’d say aim lower, whales dominate the scene. It doesn’t ruin the game at all since it is individual efforts but you’re definitely not going to get the top ranking rewards unless your prepared to spend a pretty penny. Overall I’d say the games in a good spot now to hop in and get a lot of event rewards and pulls, and hope that these characters stay relevant for a while. ### 3/5 — I Wish I Could Play More *2022-04-16, version 6.6.5* The game’s very fun. It has really cool mechanics, a generous gacha system, and great art. The only problem is that I literally cannot play the game at times because of constant, frequent problems. There’s also so much lag! I often have to reload the app at least, usually several times, because the game won’t register something I did such, such as completing a mission or even basic things like changing my team. I had no problems the day I first downloaded the game, but on day two was when everything went wrong ### 4/5 — Great Game….but.. :/ *2022-01-18, version 6.3.2* I have had this game for years and played off and on due to how expensive it can be and how incredibly unfair the rank quests and some of the other quests can be. It stinks that you can’t progress or do much with out spending money to level up characters. The cost for the Hatcher is horrible! I remember when it used to be 50polygons for 1 Hatcher and 200 for 10. I’m not spending money that will break my bank just to be able to play. The cost for the reward are horrible as well due to the amount of rewards you earn doing quests is near nothing. I like this came I just wish it would be a little more fair when it comes to character and item drops. I’ve use the Hatcher for weeks now and all it gives me is golden eggs and it gives me the same characters I have gotten rid of so many characters that I’ve had copies of. You can do only so much when your bag max all characters that had copies. -_-The exchange is expensive to kind of losing interest in the game I might stop for a couple months and see what happens when I come back to it. ### 5/5 — One of the best games I’ve ever played! *2019-11-28, version v4.1.1* I’ve had Crash Fever for at least 2 years now, and I love every second of it. I didn’t understand a lot of the game mechanics until recently, so I’m more of a novice player than compared to the time I’ve been on the app. Regardless, this game is addicting and I check in on it at least once a day if I can. I’m an absolute hoarder, so I’ve got more units than I really should be keeping in terms of their usefulness. The music and designs of the units are my favorite part of Crash Fever by far. I plan on playing this game for as long as I can and I hope everyone can it enjoy it as much as I do! ### 5/5 — Pretty casual *2019-10-08, version v3.21.1* I’ll keep this short. As a veteran gacha player, this game resembles Puzzle and Dragons (which I still play). Unlike PAD, the gacha rates are not as forgiving and polygons are scarce. However, similar to PAD, there is no one “best” team. The meta includes a large amount of units so you may not get the exact unit you want but you will eventually get units you can use for most of early and mid game. End game, as with most gacha games, requires more specific compositions but even then there is some diversity. Overall, fun game. Music is awesome. ### 5/5 — Other App Developers, Take Notice! *2019-10-05, version v3.21.1* I am STARTING OUT my score for this game at FIVE STARS for the simple reason that its soundtrack doesn’t play if I’m already listening to music. It doesn’t play both soundtracks at the same time in an unlistenable cacophony, and it doesn’t rudely turn off my music! This is gigantic, and it used to be the norm until about 2014, at which point I can only imagine that app developers were given the decree to suddenly become terrible at their jobs. This needs to return to being the standard practice as of every app’s next update. Crash Fever is just leading the charge, and deserves to be recognized for it! Oh yeah, the game itself. It’s kind of like Battle Camp or Puzzle and Dragons with a unique Summer Wars aesthetic. If you don’t like anime and really upbeat electronic J-pop, there’s still a pretty balanced mon-collecting mechanic but you’d have to try it yourself to see if you prefer it to the mon-collecting mechanic of literally every other gacha RPG in the App Store. ### 5/5 — My thoughts on this game from a guy who has been playing since release *2019-03-25, version v3.9.1* The gameplay is very similar to a game called Tsum Tsums. This game has a very rewarding system which is whenever you play with a whole new person online they give you polygons. Which is the special currency in this game. Then you can pull in the gacha for better units, but this process can only be done till 100 times. The highest star rating is 6 star units and this game also has ultimate awakening units. To evolve you can go to a evolution material quest/event and get the units there. When this game first came out it was just baby steps. I see it now and I am proud to say that this is my most favorite game on mobile. Plus the amazing crossover events such as Miku Hatsune, Re:zero, and Fullmetal Alchemist. This game has gotten so far and the constant updates for this game is why I can’t stop playing it XDXD. ### 4/5 — Great game! *2019-03-24, version v3.9.1* I think this game is actually really fun. I thought it was going to be a dumb game when I started playing it for the first time in my kindle, but it was actually fun. I deleted it on my kindle and now years later I regretted it and I tried to remember the name of the game so I could play it again. Now I have it again and it’s just as fun as I remember, plus I made major improvement on this account than my last one. Also I have an iPhone now so it’s great. More people should get this game cause it’s kind of dying and it doesn’t deserve to. ### 4/5 — Fun and addicting! Improved since... *2019-03-19, version v3.9.1* I’ve been playing this game for nearly 2 years now and I can say its definitely improved in its stability. It used to crash a lot for me (lol crash fever is actually crashing) but now this game runs smooth. The artwork for so many units are very beautiful. The UI is friendly, there are a lot of different quest daily so you may have to look at the schedule to see what specific quest you want to play, the downside to me is the wait. Now the fun part to me is collecting units that are strong, or rather, equipped with strong skills. You can get a large variety of units from a gacha system so you’re kinda gambling for a good unit (5-6 star unit). If there’s anything this game lacks, I’d say... it’s kind of hard to get polygons as a older player, although it is not impossible. You may have an urge to buy “polygons” the in-game currency because of that- especially since there is a gacha system and you never know what you might draw from it when you want a specific unit. Anyhow... this is not a pay to win game! - which is very good. TD;LR it’s a good game, not pay to win despite it being possibly hard to obtain in game currency. Fun and addicting ! ### 4/5 — A little money hungry, but great game *2019-03-06, version v3.8.0* I love this game and the crossover events that they do with certain series or characters. My favorite being the miku ones because she’s my absolute favorite and I love the songs that activate when you use their abilities. That said, acquiring these units are not easy for casual players as they will never amass enough polygons to use the hatchers and the drop rates are extremely low for the good ones. I wish they would either add ways to get better amounts of polygons besides paying or increase the drop rates without having to pay for them to increase. ### 4/5 — Cannot Do Missions *2019-03-04, version v3.8.0* I love this game, I’ve been playing for a little over a year now, but for about a week now every time I try to start a mission the sound bugs out and the game crashes. I cannot complete any of the missions, the game is extremely slow. I have tried closing the app, clearing out space on my device, shutting off my device for hours at a time. Nothing will work, I don’t understand what has went wrong, I don’t believe there has been any recent update that I haven’t played yet. Just one day my game refused to cooperate. I would appreciate if this was looked into. I’ve put many hours into this game, and a few paychecks. I would love to be able to play again. ### 5/5 — Wonderful Game!!! *2019-02-20, version v3.8.0* Absolutely love this game! I usually don’t write reviews, and although I will admit that I’m only writing this for the 10 polygon reward, I will say while I’m here that I think this game is amazing. The art is beautiful, the events are always fun and exciting, and I find collecting the units as delightfully anticipating. I wish they made more games like this. The only thing I wish they would’ve done is make it so that we can use the bits for other things rather than just for enhancing and awakening purposes, like maybe for buying polygons or weaker units. But overall, amazing game, keep up the great work! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — EDIT: BUG WITH NEW EVENT *2023-05-20* EDIT (May 19): Currently with the 7th anniversary of the release of the Chinese Branch event, there is a serious bug regarding the daily chance exchange. DO NOT EXCHANGE GOR POLYGONS, IT IS CURRENTLY BROKEN. The exchange only gives the first digit in the number of polygons it’s supposed to exchange for; example 1 polygon for the 10, 7 for the 70. Please fix this bug! It’s really frustrating to expect a certain amount of a reward only to get a fraction of what it should be. I will change my review back once the bug is fixed. I’ve had Crash Fever for at least 2 years now, and I love every second of it. Changes to awakening have been heaven sent to not need 20 different units to awaken a few. ### 1/5 — Customer Support will not assist or compensate players for stealing their money *2022-12-16, version 7.4.0* I love this game, I've been playing for years. I've devoted thousands of hours and potentially thousands of dollars to this game. I believe that if you enjoy a form of media, entertainment, art, etc and have the ability to support it, then you're investing in a something that you love. HOWEVER, I've have had a support ticket open since September 19th, 2022 from 2:35PM PST. I've followed all the instructions to receive support and resolve an issue for purchasing a simple in game pack. I immediately noticed the pack hadn't been sent properly and submitted a ticket. Then there was a global announcement saying they had a problem with their pack and they would compensate the players that were affected. I then followed up with them each week to monitor progress. However, they chose to ignore my messages and when they would respond they wouldn't provide any additional information and just apologize for the inconvenience. It is now December 16th 2022 and have reached no resolution. I then experienced another error in which 50% of my units and characters ( especially those from when i first started playing) disappeared. I submitted a support ticket. That was November 23rd 2022. It is now December 16th 2022 and they barely replied. Don't download, don't play, and don't spent any sort of money, credit, etc on this game. ### 1/5 — Used to be good *2020-10-22, version 5.7.0* This game was fun when it was still fairly new to global. There were fun quests and interesting stories— which are still going, though quests are just there for you to buy the banner character because of the 5% chance you’ll get them. The new banners now don’t even give you a guarantee single rainbow egg. They used to do that and still do for the oldest (and will never go away) basic banner. The games gotten a lot less fun to play and it’s only sitting on my phone because I feel it’s a waste because of how much time and effort I put into it. Now, it’s worth nothing to me. I don’t even get happy getting a new character... just frustrated because even if you have the character for the quest, you could still get insta-killed. If anything, play casually. Don’t put too much time into the game because the game won’t give you anything back. It just takes your time and money. ### 1/5 — Gone to the wayside *2020-01-29, version v4.3.4* Where do I begin. With recent updates, I have been cheated out of units. The app crashed after I pulled from the Hatcher. When I opened it back up, I earned nothing. I actually had a ticket open for TWO WEEKS before support actually started to investigate my issue. And then they have the nerve to say they can’t find record of my pull. I can’t even upload screenshots in the support menu because their app comes to a dead end with no button to actually send them. Among this particular issue, they can’t seem to get anything right with other glitches and malfunctions as of late. After going through support with no actual support, this app has become a hot mess. I wouldn’t recommend trying it, because they will find a way to ruin your experience with their incompetent staff. ### 1/5 — Can’t enter the game *2018-08-03, version v3.0.0* This game is fairly good. Needs some improvements though. First of all, awakening characters takes a lot of time and most of the events are really hard for an average player. But thats not why I wrote this review. The reason why I am complaining is because I can’t enter the game. Every time I try to login the game for the past 3 hours(August 3rd)it freezes but the music is still running. I’ve tried 5-10 times to login but nothing happened. The reason I am mad is because I am going to miss all of the daily logins reward because of this stupid glitch. The date this review was posted was in August 3rd and my account name is Petrov (geek crasher title). I hope you fix this bug and reward me with the daily login items I missed (or a fair amount of polygons)because of this glitch, if the problem is not fixed today. Additional info: Ive logged in everyday for the past few weeks so in the active daily reward I’m in the furthest day possible. ### 1/5 — Crashing and it's starting to get boring. *2018-06-07, version v2.6.1* NOT RECOMMENDED: I didn't have this problem before, but now it keeps crashing. I'm uninstalling it, I don't want to have to deal with this. Great and simple concept of playing, but it gets really boring really quickly. Almost feels like a chore to open all daily gifts, and you have to check each and every mail in the inbox since there isn't a "Read All" button. There's also way too many "pop ups", buttons, etc. It gets overwhelming. And multiplayer almost never works--unless you have three friends with this game. But if you're looking to play with strangers in a multiplayer room, good luck. It was genuinely fun in the first few mins of the game, but it just isn't with your time. ### 2/5 — It’s crash fever alright *2020-04-15, version v4.7.1* The game in itself is interesting and the mechanics are good for a game like this. That being said, the amount of data it used up on my phone was insane. I couldn’t really play all that much because it kept crashing on me? (Maybe that was a problem on my part) Also, i found myself uninterested in the game because there was really no storyline to it. I just had to go off of the bios of the characters and that didn’t really help me. If there was a storyline included, things might have been more interesting in the long run. I don’t know, maybe i missed a story in the beginning? If that’s the case then I apologize. Either way, I can’t say that i love this game, but i can’t say i hate it either. Maybe it will be better in the future. ### 2/5 — Needs a better d/l system *2018-12-05, version v3.3.1* The game, when you finally get to play, is fun. The 10-20+ minute wait while ‘new content’ is checked for and downloaded over wi-fi, that happens every time you open the game, really detracts from the whole experience and really limits how much you can actually play. When the game finally finishes ‘updating’ you’ve already lost most, if not all, your interest in playing it. In multiplayer it’s nice that the host and remaining players get to keep going when someone rage-quits. Also please be aware that if you transfer your account between platforms (iOS/Android) the devs lie about what does and does not transfer. Some things will transfer, some they claim do-won’t, and some disappear. Their defense is to lie about differences in platform store policies preventing full 100% transfer-but they can’t say or prove what the ‘differences’ are. ### 3/5 — Love this game but things have changed… *2022-09-22, version v6.11.1* I love this game so much!!! There is a lot to do, lots of characters to earn and option. I like how you can quickly level characters and awaken them fast so you have the team you want! Let me not forget the music! For every stage of mission there is this amazing music to go along with it. You can can earn Poly, basically diamonds, to maybe summon 1 or 10 Hatcher’s. There is usually a discount for new Hatcher’s to summon so you never have to worry of trying for the first time at 250 poly. But after it’s 500 poly for 10 spin and your not even guaranteed the features Hatcher, you can usually get it on your third tries but that’s 250 for the first, and than 500 each time… that is very pricey and starting to feel like a waste of money. One of the monthly poly cards gives very little poly every day and the other will give you a good amount but still not enough. I would highly recommend this game to anyone if they really wanna spend the money to get characters to max out their bugs. It’s not really free to play friendly anymore. But I am not gonna lie… it is a fun game but they need to work on their pricing and how much poly you get for your money. ### 3/5 — F2p stay away!!!!! *2022-08-04, version 6.8.6* Ok I play the game it is fun the music is honestly addicting but man ohh man.... are the banners and the rates bad and skewed and it is proven that yes they are skewed. See that shiny new unit that is amazing and can do amazing stuff well if you are f2p don’t even look at it cuz you won’t get it rate. You are most likely to pull the outdated ones they throw in the banner then the new shiny ones even if you are a hard whale be prepared to spend serious cash to get it from!! I spent a fair bit on this gam years ago when I first played it but since coning back after a 5 year break I haven’t spent a cent and I’ve still managed to get some pretty good characters just from the free gems you can acquire. With a bit of luck on your 50% off first pulls on the event hatchers you can get enough good characters to do pretty much everything in the game to an enjoyable amount. There is a lot of farming involved with getting your characters up to snuff, but that’s also kinda the point of games like this. ### 5/5 — Crashing and not installing correctly *2021-11-30, version 6.3.0* So I played this game for years now and I decided to reinstall it and I can’t even get past the tap to start screen without the whole application crashing and then it doesn’t even show up as a app in my purchased and acts like it’s not even downloaded onto my phone when the application is there on my home screen I loved this game but I’m giving my three stars because there’s no help button that explains how to fix this the only crashing problem is after playing the game too long not when you’re trying to even get it to start I’ve deleted and reinstalled multiple times and tried to read as much help information as I could and it’s not fixing itself. There’s nothing in their help menus to fix this so I guess I can’t play it anymore. The game also doesn’t need to be updated because again it doesn’t even show up in my search of my owned applications like it’s not even downloaded. ### 5/5 — Great casual puzzle game *2021-11-11, version 6.1.4* Nice artwork and no need to really spend money! Review many years later…I am a returning player and only started up again because they introduced auto play which fits my work schedule. I have not spent any money on the game and I don’t feel it’s necessary as long as you can farm the many free units the game offers. I do recommend reading up on discord if you want to know what banners are coming or need help on the more challenging stages. Overall a really fun puzzle game. ### 5/5 — Great graphics and idea *2020-12-26, version 5.8.4* Most games like Candy Crush(Tm) uses bland ideas such as connecting 3 shapes or more together to get rid of the candy to complete the mission boring tedious stuff. Now you have a mind challenging fighting game that combines stat knowledge with attacks! You have variety of characters to get and evolve into their next ‘stage’. The friend system is the best as well; now I can have more friends than I could normally have on other games. The exchange system is like a surprise for every seasonal event, leaving you wondering who is the next character to be in the season to get a change. And really thankful for when you get a seasonal character that’s it just some cheap costume for them, they come with a totally new set of moves to use. I always end up deleting the game due to space issues, or I’m just not consistent with playing it, but I always find myself coming back. Second, microtransaction and loot box mechanics are there but the devs pretty much hand you the currency for free and very often. I highly recommend this game because it’s not only fun but the reward system does exist. And it’s probably one of the fairest things out there when it comes to that subject. If you want a FAIR game that does legit REWARD you then pick this up. In under 2 weeks I can already play legendary quests. In this game you level up quick and also has a massive amount of rewards as you complete numerous quests. The gacha system in this game isn’t so bad if you want just a 5 or 6 star character, you’re basically guaranteed one each pull but getting the actual characters you want is a different story.
