I even had 8 adverts with less than a minute of programs between each block of 4. I have high speed internet and never had issues… until Crave. The wheel of death and having to restart the app is terrible and frequent. If it’s not the wheel of death, the app freezes and you have to force close the app and reopen it. As for the content… limited and poor. I got Crave for free as part of TSN. Crave is a total waste of time and thank goodness it came free. I am taking out another streaming service. 1 star for Crave because iI can’t give zero, which it deserves. ### 1/5 — “Way Too Many Ads + Buffering After Every Ad Break” *2026-09-04, version 4.14.0* The ads on Crave are honestly ridiculous. I’m getting around 6 ad breaks, and each break can have 4 ads that are 30 seconds each. That’s an insane amount of advertising for a paid streaming service. What makes it even worse is that I’m casting from my phone to my TV, and after sitting through the entire ad break, the video often buffers for another 10–15 seconds before the show finally continues. So I’m stuck watching several minutes of ads, only to be rewarded with a loading screen afterward. 🤦‍♂️ I’ve used Netflix and Prime Video’s ad-supported tiers, and the experience feels drastically better in comparison. Crave’s ad experience feels excessive, repetitive, and poorly optimized for casting. I’m paying for a streaming service to watch shows, not spend a ridiculous amount of time watching commercials and buffering.
