Been playing for years. However I now have over 200,000 points on a server and it takes literally hours to launch attacks. Takes a lot of the fun out, may I suggest an update that lets you set bases up into "battle groups" so you can attack from like 20+ bases close together at one time (with the landing time being that of the base farthest away). That would save so much time, and make it a lot more enjoyable! ### 4/5 — Great game *2015-05-08, version 4.8.0* While I could go on about how much you will enjoy this game. There's a high chance if another player attacks your base it will most likely be destroyed. So get used to starting over and over again because it will happen allot. ### 4/5 — Graphics don't change... *2015-03-29, version 4.7.1* I like these styles of games, and I enjoy this idea for the time period it's in. However, I find it a little annoying that they draw up the image for what your upgrading buildings look like, and you can see them in your info. But when your just looking at the base, all the buildings look exactly the same as they did at level one... It's kind of annoying when all you do for most of the game is look at your base. Overall, good game I'd relate it very much to grepolis. Oh and slight annoyance that there's no sound except for reports. ### 4/5 — Great game. *2014-08-16, version 2.5.2* I will start off with my only complaint, but I do believe it is a very important one. When you first begin the game, you receive the typical beginner walk through. This particular walk through is very difficult to initially understand. The game throws a lot of information at you all at once, and then will not allow you to read back through the walk through. After all of the information was thrown at me, I sat there semi dumbfounded as there is a lot to learn. Initially I deleted the game, and thought no more of it. After I redone loaded it, I had to sit there and spend a little bit learning how the game worked. Once you figure it out, it isn't hard at all and is truthfully quite addictive if you enjoy the text based MMORPG kind of thing. The clan based system works wonderfully, and the more experienced players do not hesitate to send you resources and give you tips in the in game forum. I recommend this game to everyone, and I really hope that it catches on soon. 9/10. ### 2/5 — This New Update is killing it for me *2014-02-08, version 2.2.0* I have been playing CT since server 1 beginning. I am addicted to the game to where I check it at least 30+ times a day. Against my better judgement I downloaded the new update and it is not good... In the past few days since the update I have checked my accounts maybe 3-4 times. The new layout looks more visually stimulating but it takes away the clarity of forums and messages. Maybe I'm just to used to the old look but I can't get used to this. Not to mention the app crashes every time you try to copy and paste!!! I can't even participate in the wars because you can't copy and paste op sheets... I am a very loyal player to the game and yes I do purchase waters from time to time. However I am nearly done playing because it has gotten so difficult to participate with the new layout. Normally 5 star rating... But not this time. The new update is pretty close to the fog that was added some time back on server 1. *if you enjoy the game as is I do not recommend updating until layout has been changed and copy and paste bug fixed. Nice tweak to the quick mission select though. Keep that ### 3/5 — Terrible update *2014-02-05, version 2.2.0* This new an "improved" view is absolutely terrible. It's hard on the eyes, especially if your used to the old, better view, please offer an update reverting to the old view. Everything else is great I love the game besides the new view. I've been a player for a while and I love it but please offer the update soon. This would be 5 stars but this new look is so hard on my eyes and so ugly that I'm dropping 2 stars. ### 3/5 — Unfair players and clans *2014-01-18, version 2.1.1* This game is addictive, but there are some problems. A problem everyone faces is that a clan called 🚀Gangrin🚀, their allies, under clans, and other russian clans, keep attacking and taking over everyones clans. They have attacked non-russian clans and they want to control the entire server maybe all. So join at your own risk, wait until the matter is settled, or tell the developers to ban 🚀Gangrin🚀. ### 5/5 — Addicting *2013-12-15, version 2.1.1* To me at least i love the community and wars that ca go on making alliances making enemies if you give it a chance build up and join a clan it will be one of the best game you've ever played ### 5/5 — The honest truth *2013-12-06, version 2.1.0* I find the game very enjoying an one of the best games of it's times. At first it is hard to get in to tho an i aint gonna lie this game is not for a lot of people.. In it's a very political game in it's own way.. On the other hand in upgrading your resource supply, building troops, taking bases, spying bases, an farming raids, these make this game fun.. But it also make the game complicated.. I am hear as part of the Avengers an i would like to say that if you have a hard time understanding this amazing game when you first download it, don't delete it. On the bottom of your screen there in a tab that say clan. Click on it an enter a name for (essentially) your clan, once you do that you will be able to find your ranking in the clans. Scroll all the way to the top an find The Avengers. We are a clan built of highly experienced players an extremely kind an friendly to the boot :).. We are on server 3. Hope to hear from a bunch of new cadets soon. ### 5/5 — Best Game ever *2013-09-13, version 1.3.1* I play this game everyday and there is at least 3 or 4 thousand people on a server at one time. I get up in the morning pick up my iPod and play. You will have just as much fun as me!!!! Enjoy the battles to come when you play Crazy Tribes -Banshee ### 4/5 — Awesome game *2013-09-04, version 1.3.0* I love this game and this honestly takes up a good portion of my time, but there is only one problem I have with the beginner protection in this game. When you start playing this, you're under something called beginner protection, so people can't attack you. Only thing is, if someone under beginner protection attacks You, they don't lose it, so you can't attack back. It's a cheap tactic and it just lets the attacker keep acting without penalty. If I were a developer, I'd fix this in an update or something because it gets very annoying very fast ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Few things... *2021-05-25, version 8.18.1* 1. Add some sounds. ### 1/5 — Unforgiving to new players *2021-03-18, version 8.16.0* Played the game and greatly enjoyed it a few years back, now as I try to get back into the game for the last 2 weeks, an event halves the prices to conquer bases. Obviously, a base 5x my size immediately destroyed me. Glad I didn’t waste any money on water canisters. TL;DR: only fun if you’ve been playing non-stop for a while, otherwise you’ll have to constantly restart with nothing ### 1/5 — Terrible Owner Support - Do NOT BUY!!!! *2016-04-06, version 5.4.0* Selena some $$$ playing this game, had a great time meeting some folks but unfortunately on the server we played, Old Dogs run it, no tribes, even together can take them and when you try to build up points just to play, they reset you, so no fun! Don't waste your time. Also brought this up to owners and they don't care...so don't give the your money, also it is to easy for others to take your forts you build...give this game 👎👎👎👎👎 thumbs down! ### 1/5 — Lame *2015-07-04, version 4.10.0* Game is very slow. If you get attacked and lose, you have to start from the beginning with everything at lv1 and all the time you played is now wasted. I wasted a few weeks with the game and will never play it again. Bad game play on this game with no option to leave off where you were, when you were last attacked. So, don't waste your time playing people. ### 1/5 — Unfair and waste of time *2015-06-18, version 4.9.0* Played with family in a clan. So much wars and arrogant/selfish leaders. If you say anything wrong they'll kick you and turn all your friends against you. Not just the clan, they'll make sure the server attacks you. I spent 20$ iTunes for a little boost and then got attacked from my father also (leaders orders). It's also unfair because when you're new and not with the most powerful clan on the server you'll just be attacked. Also after a clan takes over its no use to build up because they'll keep spam attacking you until you literally quit. ### 1/5 — Bases can be taken!!!! *2014-04-27, version 2.3.1* This game lets you take over other players bases!!! This should not be this game, you put a lot of time into your base and if you spend $$$ on it to, someone can come along and attack your base and take it over and you can't do anything about it!!! That is WRONG!!!! So this is a warning to those who play this game you probably will lose your base in time. For this reason I will give this game 1star!!! If they change that in game I would give it a higher score. Player Beware!!! ### 1/5 — Update Ruined Game *2013-12-04, version 2.1.0* This game has been ruined by the continuous updates and new "features" that the developers have been implementing. And by features, I actually mean unfair advantages that have been given to people with deep pockets. I understand tweaking game mechanics, but these updates have made it so that it's nearly impossible to keep up unless you're willing to shell out ludicrous amounts of money. Nonsense. ### 1/5 — This game has been ruined *2013-12-03, version 2.1.0* The recent few updates and modifications have destroyed what this game is all about. The attack syncs were nice but when USA 4 was released and all the buildings and recruitment times were slowed down, that was when this game tanked. Now people can buy resources and essentially this game can be won by whoever spends the most money. Commercialism and corporate greed have ruined what used to be one of the best overall games on any platform I have ever played. I am leaving deleting this app as I refuse to see the game I love ravaged by all of these money grubbing updates by Xyrality. I guess I'll just go read a book or something now. ### 1/5 — Fun but not for long *2013-06-19, version 1.3.0* Fun game, time consuming and a great live strategy - if you aren't patient you can buy water canisters but honestly I only do so as an investment toward the developer company. I will say to enjoy a MMOG you should be somewhat social; meaning join a clan and enjoy the banter and strategizing - A very serious problem plagues this game it is the personal, offensive and hateful speech that this game facilitates of players. Some bullying players often send hate mail. This game facilities the big players - the monopolist - the one that has no life and harasses the casual player just for winning a battle or being around. This game should be revamped to address the serious issue Of super clans and monopolizing players. Because who wants to play a game with bullies who you can never overcome because they have been playing for months before you. ### 1/5 — I played too long time *2013-06-11, version 1.3.0* Look, the dominate players run the game. If you do not get on the server early, you will not be very big. If you build, someone bigger will just take your stuff. Clans make you fight. If you decide to load this game, do not spend money. Be prepared that if you spend months building, someone bigger will just take it away. It takes to long to build defensive units. Bikers seem to be the dominate force. I am on my way out. I build almost all my stuff on inactives and Mutants. Someone attacked other clan members, i countered, and this gave bigger players that outclass me by 4x an excuse to take. Good luck to you. It's a very social game and I've made many friends over the years. The game has evolved with all the updates forcing players to adapt and change their play style. Some changes have been great, others have taken the skill factor away. I'd love to see the developers launch CT 2 bringing some of the old gameplay back pre updates, and redoing the graphics, but either way I'll continue playing this game. ### 5/5 — Great so far *2014-10-14, version 4.0.0* I just started to play it is good but sometimes it lags and has a few bugs if you could fix that would be great but great game so far 👍 ### 5/5 — Awesome game *2014-03-30, version 2.2.1* Great game but I haven't been given my water canisters after watching the videos lately and there are clans in the top ten on USA 4 taking the fun out of the game by refusing to fight each other and not allowing anyone else to be on the map because they want it for themselves and don't want other clans or players getting too strong. They are cowards and should be reset by the app owners to maintain the great fun that this game really is without these un honorable players. Two other suggestions: Add an option that would allow resources from one base to be automatically sent to another selected base.
